Yeah, this was the photoshoot on the beach right next to Stevie's Marina del Rey condo. Weren't these shot by Neal Preston? I know one of these photos ran in US magazine. Did they also run in Playboy? Why do people call them the Playboy shoot?

the pictures from this photoshoot are among my all-time favorites and this one is the best. I've never seen a HQ one like this. thank you.

it amazes me that there isn't a definitive Stevie site (or is there?) with pics, especially HQ pics, lyrics, etc...since SaraRhiannon went down.

I just realized that these images would make great posters. I edited them in Micrografx Picture Publisher, reduced the resolution to 75 DPI, and blew them up to 36 x 24 inches. If you simply blow them up the way they are they're too grainy to work with, but if you do what I suggested they look exactly the same. I wonder if this Marcella character has any scans of the Blue Velvet photoshoot or the RS cover outtakes. I would keel over if I saw those! :cool:

I also really like that White Album of her sitting on the couch. In most of the photos from that era she looks barely 16 years old, and it's one of the few where she actually looks her age.

I have so many great Stevie pics on my hard drive now, I'll have to kill myself if it ever crashes.Trust me -- one way or another, back up the files you have on your hard-drive. Burn them onto CD, save them on as many floppies as it takes, email them to yourself, buy a flash drive... something.

I've never seen a copy of the Playboy in which the Stevie interview ran, but I believe it ran with a couple of the pics from that session. I thought you'd be the one to know David! :DBut I don't know. I don't remember ever seeing that issue of Playboy with Stevie in it. But I do remember the US magazine profile with the shots at the beach, & I just barely recall Neal Preston's photo credit--is that right? It has been sooooo many years now & I have taken soooooo many drugs that there's no recovering the past for me.

One thing I haven't forgot is Stevie's powder-blue condo. It was literally right on the beach. Her oceanfront window, a large window, faced a public beach, & people peered in sometimes. I don't think Stevie spent much time there, let me put it that way!

It was the July 1982 issue of Playboy and one of the photos did run with the article which was one they ran in every issue called 20 Questions with..... (whatever celeb it was that month). I have a copy.
