Does anyone have an idea when Stevie is planning to release another solo album. I've been absent from the scene lately and aren't sure if there have been any developments.
I really hope she would do one before she goes in for another FM project. These days I prefer her solo stuff a whole lot more than the band's.

I don't think there are any plans for her to go into the studio right now.

There are currently no plans for a new studio album from Stevie, but it appears that we'll be getting either a live album or a DVD recorded with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Possibly both.

She has made it clear in recent interviews that she doesn't plan on releasing a solo album of new material because "it won't get played on the radio so why bother' No matter that she hasn't had significant top 40 airplay since 1989.

Either way, many artists Stevie's age decide to retire completely... no tours, no albums, nothing. At least those who still wish to see Stevie in concert can do so.

I know it's an unpopular opinion but i've said it before and i'll say it again .Id rather see her retire than become an interminably touring oldies jukebox with ever diminishing venues until it reaches the dreaded State Fair /local casino circuit.

Not even state fair, but county fair. Stevie would be rockin' on the county fair circuit. Of course, I'm a big fan of rock concerts where there are about 250 people milling about on a lawn. I prefer that to those situations where you arrive in a parking lot that covers acres & then go into an arena that seats 15,000 noisy people, & lets about 1 percent of them at a time use the toilet & makes them stand in line for a pretzel or a program & then makes them wait out in their cars after the show for about 2 hours until traffic dissipates. That whole scene is shit.
I'd rather walk past the petting zoo & the snowcone stand & then see Stevie playing a set on a stage set up over a couple of bales of hay.

Ha Ha That's good. She could play Fairplex in Pomona, between horse races! Forget the petting zoo, she could play at the real Los Angeles Zoo! Heck, Fiesta Hermosa is coming up...she could replace the Bella Donna tribute show.

I think I would die if Stevie didn't make any more music. I'm still waiting for her afro-cuban rap/salsa album...
