March 30th
Once again this summer Legendary Rock Star Stevie Nicks will be taking her Gold Dust 2006 Tour back out on the road in North America. After last summers successful American tour Stevie will be taking her Gold Dust Tour back through major markets, and some markets that were not played last summer.
“You know, I just cant sit at home all summer and not go out and play you know. Its like totally satisfying after all these years to still go out there and play my hits for the crowds you know. This is going to be a different show than last year. We are going to mix it up some and bring a different setlist out there. I haven’t played Talk to Me in years, we might open up with that.”--Stevie Nicks
The trek will kick off Thursday July 1st in Orlando FL., and will play through the end of August wrapping up in California. Paula Cole will be supporting during the August dates. The full tour schedule will be released Tuesday April 4th. Here are most of the cities that the tour will play:

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh! I so fell for that one! I was bitching to my sister that she was going to add another leg to the tour, and that she would probably be too exhausted to properly tour with the Mac next year, and that she should take a frikkin' break!
And then I came to the second post.
Good one.

I was hoping it was a joke.If she had continued her oldies jukebox tour for another year without even bothering to change the name of the tour then it would have signaled a creative bankruptcy even more dismal than i had imagined.

but I did fall for one today (Kinda fell for one) when I arrived for my Dr's appt (a 40+mile one way trip) to only be told my Dr. called in sick today just 20 minutes prior...Sometimes it doesnt pay to get the hell outta bed.
Now to find out if the rumor about Slash quitting Velvet Revolver is indeed factual, or just another April Fool's joke (Though there has been said that credible reports is that he moved his equipment out of VR's storage/rehearsal studio...But thus far no official word. Who knows, Maybe a GNR reunion could be in the works.)

I was going to do an April Fools saying that Lindsey had named a date for releasing his next record...
Then I realised that even I wouldn't fall for that one.

Yeah, I agree. FOUL. It's bad enough that they have Christmas decorations up before Halloween, now we are doing April fools day pranks early too? If the only way someone can fool another person is by doing an April fools prank a day early so that they are the first (because once you've gotten April fooled once, you expect it the rest of the day) they have no skills as a prankster.

Here is the latest press release I've read n regards to Slash & the rumor of a possible GNR reunion:
GUNS N' ROSES: No Reunion With SLASH, DUFF - Apr. 1, 2006
A representative for GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose has shot down persistent rumors that former GNR members Slash, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan are in talks with Rose about taking part in a "reunion" tour this summer. The rumors gained strength a couple of days ago when unconfirmed reports surfaced that Slash had picked up his gear from VELVET REVOLVER's rehearsal studios after allegedly announcing that he was leaving the band.
Rumors of trouble in the VELVET REVOLVER camp have been swirling around the group for the past few months, with several reports suggesting that much of the strife between Slash and the rest of the camp stems from Slash's wife Perla's alleged involvement in the band's business affairs. The situation allegedly came to a head last week after an attempt was made by attorneys to mediate in matters related to the lawsuits filed by Slash, Duff and Axl over the rights to the old GNR songs.
Slash and Duff, who left GNR in the 1990s and are joined in VELVET REVOLVER by ex-GNR drummer Matt Sorum and former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS singer Scott Weiland, had filed suits in 2004 and 2005 seeking the rights to the early GNR material, accusing Rose of killing deals that would have put their songs in a half-dozen movies, including "Old School" and "Black Hawk Down". Rose filed a counterclaim last month asking a Federal Court to confirm his ownership of his "creative works" and defending his decision to choose when to license the music and to whom.
At press time, there has been no official comment from the VELVET REVOLVER camp regarding any of the rumors currently making the rounds. It is also not presently clear if VELVET REVOLVER will go ahead with their previously announced plans to enter the studio on April 10 to begin recording the follow-up to their double-platinum 2004 debut, "Contraband".
