Ok, my friend is a Stevie collector, and he has these two things that I find to be quite remarkable. It's Bella Donna and Wildheart. But the thing is they're in how shall I say this, VERY ornate boxes with engraving on the outside. I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about.

I think everybody has that. What I mean by "everybody" is hundreds of people. Wynnco sold them for awhile.

They are collectors items, but not incredibly rare. Of course, I don't have them, so...

What are they? Albums?

DavidMn

What are they? Albums?WHat they are are boxes, but not ordinary boxes. Theyre made out of I dont want to say marble, but something similar to that. They have engraving on the front and a clip on the front to latch them closed. Only Bella Donna and Wildheart. I'd really be curious to know the genesis of these items.

I could be wrong, but I think these are fan-made boxes. What I really want are the wooden boxes that were given by the record company. I had a chance to buy the Bella Donna one for $80 and didn't do it...why, I don't know.

someone kick me in the ass.

Is it this?

They are pretty cool, but I have never really understood where they came from or why they were made. I don't think they were "official."

If they are what Tiff showed you, than they are pure unadulterated crap manufactured by the anti-christs of the collectibles world.. WYNNCO. (I'm playa' hatin' I hate Wynnco, but still wish I had one of these...lol) They are fan, (i.e the trolls slaving in the Wynnco basement) made to the best of my knowledge and JazFlow's comment about one that was legit is news to me. I don't see how or why the record company would have made a "box" set persay in the early 80's for something like BD. I dunno, that's just me. If you didn't get something that was legit for $80...bend over and let me be the first to kick thy ass.

Some of these Wynnco boxes had t-shirts and stuff in them. Really a nice package, but back in the day when they first started offering them, they wanted like $250 or something. My bitterness for those of you unfamiliar was having bought "boot" copies of the boot collection Uncirculated Rumours for approx $350 from Wynnco, and as the Internet grew and my knowledge grew, realizing that 99% of the stuff I had purchased from them over the years photos, cd's, "press-kits" all fakes. Bastards...and then they send all this psycho zealous Religous flyers w/ each purchase....JOY! Anyway........

Now, now, don't hate on Wynnco. Where else can you get a pair of "Stevie's" old pantyhose and "Lindsey's" speedo, in a dingy old gymbag for a mere $2,000? Sotheyby's tags still attached!!!

http://www.wynnco.com/productimages/bigunes/55375.jpg

(Wonder why that hasn't sold :p.)

Here's the Rock A Little box, by the way. I looked for the Wild Heart one, but they don't have it up anymore.

And btw..."Sotheby's was like, um...no, just take our tag and pretend we tried to sell it." bwahahahahaha

Wow, well guys i never knew these boxes existed!! Though i would not buy them if they weren't legit... its fake and just as good as one made by any of us.. (though ours would be made with stevie love and be way more special of course).

Boy i'd love something special from way back then in the early 80's, something spec the executives gave out or super special promotional goodies... ahhhh yes that would be just super... but for now a song dedication shall suffice!

Wow, well guys i never knew these boxes existed!!A lot of us were on Wynnco's mass mailing list, so we'd get hard-copy catalogs periodically, which is where we saw these boxes listed. This was all a few years before the reunion.

I had been ordering from Wynnco since about 1991. When OSOTM came out, they went into overdrive on the SN/FM merchandise. About the only legit thing I got from them was around Timespace though, a couple of the import singles. Yea, common place now, but at the time, it was SO cool! And their catalogs. Remember the "live auction?" Maybe 1996 or so? That's when an abundance of Bobbye Hall's stuff came about via Wynnco. Was crazy. Thank GAWD I never ventured onto those auction grounds, though I have to say I wanted to SO desperately.

Thank GAWD I never ventured onto those auction grounds, though I have to say I wanted to SO desperately.Remember how they used to sell 8x10s of Stevie & FM? Occasionally, you'd find some interesting photos; Wynnco would scan them & provide little thumbnails in the catalog.

One time, they started selling "soundboards" but most of the dates of the shows were shows that were already in circulation as audience recordings. I bought one -- Madison Square Garden June 29, 1977 -- & it was just an audience recording. That's about when I washed my hands of Wynnco.

Occasionally, they had catalogs devoted entirely to FM. Always fun to flip through.

Much better was the guy who sold videos in Pacific Palisades. Forgot his name. I bought videos with Stevie & FM on TV in Australia & Europe, as well as some live stuff like Stevie at the Greek in 1989 & FM at the Aladdin in 1990. That's also where I first saw Rocksteady 1990.
