1996 Boston Mixfest YouTube Twisted clip

YouTube is a treasure trove! Too bad it takes forever for every video to load, but anyway...can anyone understand what Stevie's saying at the very beginning of this clip? (Something about her boots maybe? And then she yells "as long as they're tall!" I think?) I love how she rocks the ending. What I wouldn't have gived to see that live. :)

Oh, yes!! This is a good performance. I don't know what she's saying.
This past few weeks I've been missing a bunch of songs on Enchanted - I don't have them and really want to hear them again. This reminded me of that. I really like this song from Enchanted but forgot it was Twisted. She looks really pretty, too, and really happy - this performance has a lot of play and sparkle. :)
I'm going to get Enchanted (again) this weekend.
I wouldn't mind her adding this song to her set, that's for sure. C'mon, Stevie! Please?

How much fun was she having there! She was smiling! Yes genuinly smiling, and having a great time performing that song! What a wonderful show to of seen her perform... makes me wonder why she is they way she is now... IF she is so very happy now it doesn't show when you compare SYW or even Vegas (as great as it was) to that video! That video is what we want to see, pure pleasure and good times! She sung it with such enjoyment in her voice!

I was there that day. When she is singing Dreams right before this, she motions to somebody that the microphone stand is too short. Between songs she had a stage hand come out and raise her microphone up because it was too low. Without re-watching the clip, she says something like, they didn't plan on me wearing such high boots, that's why I'm so tall!

Thanks, everyone. Janis, I thought the same thing when I watched that clip. She seemed so happy and carefree, which was different, IMO, from the Stevie who toured this summer. She seemed to be in good spirits on this summer's tour, but not at all like that clip.

Hey, did anyone notice that there was a very Janis Joplin-y feel towards the end of that song? Yeah, I'm probably slow on the uptake compared to the more experienced Ledgies here, but I don't think I've heard her sing in that voice before, so it was reminding me of something.

This was a special show. Thanks priestofnothing! This stupid laptop doesn't have a sound card though, will have to boot up other PC now. Stevie had just lost a bunch of weight and quit smoking. She was feeling really good about herself and it shows!
