Two more professional DJs have remixed Dreams.
Axwell (http://www.axwell.nu/)
Tocadisco (http://www.tocadisco.com/tocadisco.htm)
The Tocadisco mix is pretty interesting, a lot better than Deep Dish's version. The guitar is right up front so it's kind of rockin'. There are brief quasi-acapella moments where you can really hear Stevie's voice clearly.
Axwell mix is good. Has a very atmospheric feel, like something Coldplay might record.
BTW, Dreams is STILL in the Top 10 on the Dance Airplay Charts. It just moved up to #3 :]

They announce these things but take forever to put them out. I've been waiting since December!. I heard the Awell version on the BBC... but haven't heard the other, but am looking forward to it.

Yeah, not bad at all. For once, she doesn't sound totally ridiculous behind club beats.

Makes a big difference that they are new vocals... Rather then a mix using the old track.

Axwell is my fave!
The other one was okay, but too much acapella for it to be a solid song, although it was fun to hear just her vocals alone

I guess I was thinking of the homemade "cut n paste" disasters that have been circulating over the years.
The White Label remix of Dreams, which was reportedly done by Deep Dish, isn't bad. That uses the original '77 recording.

Well, Madonna just jumped over Stevie and has the #1 song this week with her new song Sorry. But Stevie's all about longevity, so I'll bet Dreams will still be on the chart even after Madonna's latest song has exited the Top 10.
