Appalling? Aren't the privacy of the writings (aka "demo's) the same invasion of personal history? I can't say that I'd want to own it, but I'd love a clear read. Also the very fact that Mick TOOK the time to write Stevie such a heartwarming letter of apology or whatever exactly it says is endearing. Quite something to own. I'd buy that before I'd buy her pantyhose or prescription bottle. Now that is a " "

you are right Chris.... though none of us would ever want to feel as though we would pay for something so personal and intimate... we would still want a read...

Ha! Amen to that.
What are the chances that it is genuine though? If it were genuine, $66 sounds a bit .... well ... you know.

Gawd, this guy CANNOT write properly, this is too hard to decipher, even if the letter was clear.
I'm just amazed at how or where someone actually got this. Is there someone going through her personal stuff? First the iffy necklace with the inscription and now this. If it isn't authentic, this person certainly has a little too much time on their hands. The letter definitely looks old and it does look like Mick's handwriting.

It does look "authentic".. but it could just as easily be fake.
Does make you wonder where/how the seller got it, absolutely.

Like you guys, I have a lot of mixed feelings about this -
to be honest one of my first thoughts was, "Holy MOLY that's gonna be worth a f'g FORTUNE someday."
But -
yeah -
How in the HELL did somebody get hold of this???
If it IS real, I would think that Stevie either would have held on to it or thrown it out. It reminds me of when she said, "Somebody CAME in to my LIFE - - - and they STOLE my JOURNALS!"
Same person, maybe, I dunno -
but yeah - I guess maybe somebody stole her personal stuff...
I'm actually wondering if maybe a law or two were broken.....
Anyway - in my opinion - the guilt's not worth it. Let the green door stay closed, as Mick said in his book. I'm sorta hoping nobody will buy it.
But - he called her "Stephanie." . . . .
(DOOT-dooo, dooo-DOOO-DOOO! think about it...)

Hey I'm just curious, what do you know about him?
I heard he was last spotted in Australia... So maybe he'll take in a show or two.
He's the dude that was archiving all their stuff wasn't he? a friend of Micks - and then disappeared with a whole lotta stuff - which eventually surfaced through Devil Woman.

It was right now that ? to you on seeing ? not what ? for you ? thing……I understand and I ? in time not ?? we will talk.
Much I have ?, and much ? I know is ahead for me and you. The ? you gave safely to me will ? You ?? ------- There will be happy times for all of us ?

I hope to give ? you … Love is is to me out of all this it ?? No harm will come to Sara I promise. She is a true friend to you.
Good friends that we will ? ?? or or say in the ? for some that song ? ??? for the ? we know more.

Uhhmm, since they are "the same," you've got to read between
his lines - - -
"Never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, NEVER write a love letter when you're higher than Mount Everest!" :p

Uhmmmmm . . . . .
YEAH uhmmm . . . .
So I see that it's still at 66 dollars or so - - -
I'm seriously, literally wondering if maybe somebody should get this and send it to John Kinney at Nicksfix.
Assuming it's real -
would Stevie really want this to be out there?
Assuming it's authentic in the first place -
I really do have the impression that somebody stole this from her.
The address is -
The Nicks Fix
P.O. Box 112083
Carrollton, Texas 75011-2083
USA
And it's a great investment, I admit -
but trust me, the guilt's not worth it.
PRIVATE letter from Mick to Stevie? to STEVIE???
We're her fans, not one of the leaches hanging around her to make a buck -
She's got PLENTY of those, I bet!
C'mon - - - let's do the right thing....

Being nosy, I also studied it and got about half of it. It's typical Mick, saying a lot without really saying much of anything.

-LisSame here. The last part on the first page is almost imposible to make out, but the rest is doable, if you are willing to make anything out of something with a few missing words here and there.
I don't see him calling her Stephanie though.

I zoomed in on the letter, and he didn't write Stephanie. It's definately "Stevie" At first glance it may look like "Stephanie" because the way the cross in the t curves downward making it look like a lower case "h" and in the second line the "k" in know makes the "v" in stevie look like a p, but if you zoom in on it enough, you can see that it does say "stevie".
