Now that I've decided to seek a different publisher for my book, I have to figure out how to increase the word count of my manuscript by at least 10,000 words. I'm at a loss as to what to add to get to that point. So, I've decided to ask for some help.
I'll need one or two people to read the manuscript and...
A) Look at it with a very critical eye. Let me know what parts you feel need more detail or more clarity in the descriptions. Be bluntly honest. Comments like "OMG I loved it" are nice but not helpful.
B) Tell me what you would like to see happen to the characters (short of the ending. You couldn't make me change my ending even at gunpoint). I basically need to increase the length of my manuscript by 25% so this is very important.
Not to discriminate, but I am mostly interested in assistance from at least one of our resident gay boys, since homosexual themes are prevalent throughout the manuscript and so far the only people who have read it are hetero.
