Come on, Steves, make it pretty and put it on dvd/cd for us, I'm almost begging here. If we are getting both though, I'll eat a broom.

The article said ten songs with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, which would be nice. Although, if she doesn't do anything fresh (which I'm betting will happen) faggettahbouttit.......
So, if she chucks "Rhiannon" on an orchestra album ala Elton John that'll make it how many times it's been officially released???
White Album
Live Album
Greatest Hits
The Chain
Enchanted
The Very Best Of
Live in Boston
WHOO-HOOO!!!! Number EIGHT!!! Jeezus, woman- release some new shit....

Shame on me for getting excited when I read the thread title....although GDW with an orchestra sounds promising.
Is it just me, or do y'all read "Red Rover" arena instead of "Rod Lover?"

Only 10 songs with the orchestra is the way I take it...the rest she will just rock out on w/ her band.

I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. Of course a newspaper is going to mention the more popular choices, but ten songs songs is a lot. She couldn't fill ten slots with all obvious choices...
...could she?
(Rhetorical, people. Rhetorical. Fingers crossed, though.)

Okay, I have been called cynical more than once in my life. But really... do we truly want this to be recorded and released? Is this how she's oging to fulfill that contractual obligation? We'll wind up with yet another version of a greatest hits. Hmm... 10 songs... recorded live in Australia.
Outside the Rain
Dreams
Gold Dust Woman
Rhiannon
Stand Back

Edge of 17
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You

We'll wind up with yet another version of a greatest hits.:Maybe this will actually supplant the previously rumoured new "best of" album that was supposed to coincide with the Australian tour?
Stevie's never had a live album before, so that would help provide something fresher for the die-hards than just another standard "best of." Yet the record company would get what they want, too, because casual fans will still see the likes of "Stand Back" and "Landslide" on the track-listing.

That sounds right! That makes complete sense! Johnny Stew odds 4/1!

I always think of that line pertaining to Stevie herself moreso than the song of "Rhiannon". So I think it's very appropriate and befitting of THE Queen of Rock. :)

Hell, I will still be interested in hearing it nonetheless (If it will be officially released...Though I prefer a real rock live album instead of a performance with an orchestra.)

Me too, I love all the Rhiannons. I'm the proverbial "Rhiannon Ho".

Yes, I think that's the accepted interpretation. At least that is how I think of it.
I was just seizing the opportunity for some fun wordplay.
You know, I never think of Rhiannon during that song, I always just think of Stevie. That's the perfect chick song - you can pretend it's you being all mysterious and longed for but illusive and haunting. As shadowy and ephemeral as a cat in the dark. No one will ever get over you, no one will ever win. You hold heaven in your hands, the very soul of the man is under your control, his fate...can he pay the price of choosing heaven? No, don't try to hold her, she rules her life like a bird in flight! Will you be her lover??
Who wouldn't love that?

You know, sometimes I wonder if those people named Rhiannon hate their parents forever, or were 'brainwashed' by them into loving Stevie also. There is really no other reason for people to be called Rhiannon if their parents weren't at least Fleetwood Mac, if not Stevie fans.

Actually, not true. I used to manage a coffee house and a regular customer used to come in with her little girl, Rhiannon. When she told me her name I got all excited until I found out she really wasn't a Stevie/FM fan at all and had heard the name "somewhere else".
Speaking of Rhiannon though, I would be highly disappointed if it wasn't included in the orchestra song. I too am a major Rhiannon Ho. (I love that, Amber)
