So many artists have gone on to do an unplugged album at succesful times in their career. So with the recent release of Alicia Keys new Unplugged album & DVD, it got me thinking, wouldnt it be awesome if Stevie did the same thing?? Maybe even throw in a new song or two (if she has written any  ).
Any thoughts?

of course! I'd love that, but I don't really see it happening. she's too set in her ways...tho, you never know...that's what keeps it exciting

NO IT WOULD NOT BE AWESOME! Ive seen and heard enough crap slowed down versions of her music for years to come. Just listen to the Say You Will and Trouble In Rehab albums. Can she please just go out there and rock for once. Can we please get a damn album with something like Fall From Grace times 12.
Fall From Grace is the best song she has put out since Seven Wonders(minus the 97 Silver Springs).

In some ways i agree with this, But something i just relalised is that throughout Stevie's whole career, she has never put out a cd of live performances. Maybe when or if she releases the DVD of her melbourne concert she will release a CD as well

it would be fantastic! I havn't posted in a long while but this one got me out of the woodwork. It would be great! setlist ideas? If stevie were to do an episode of soundstage, doing it unplugged would be a great way to market it. Especially if she had a handful of guests.
in no specific order
outside the rain - just accoustic guitar and light drums
If you ever did believe w.sheryl crow
rose garden
gypsy accoustic with linds
without you - with linds (HA yeh when pigs fly)
insider with tom petty (i can dream)
trouble in shangri-la - this could be so cool with the right instruments.
gold dust woman ala the demo version but kicked up a notch slightly

I'd love to hear her unplugged too, it gives to songs a new soul, and it's a sound that would fit Stevie very well at this point of her career, IMO.

I do love Fall From Grace although the live versions beat the crap out of the TISL version.

Are we talking totally unplugged as in one guitar one voice, maybe some help on backup... Or are we talking Storytellers unplugged, which is kind of like all the MTV unplugged albums, same difference.
There was a plan to release the dvd of Storytellers this year, but that fell through or was something that was made up.
Personally, the Storytellers should have been released when it was done, of course a little longer to include tracks to fill an album, but that would have been great as a live album in a way.

She performed a number of songs that weren't aired on the broadcast, didn't she?

I agree that it would have made a good live album (except for Rhiannon!) but I would really like to hear something different by her. Storytellers, as great as she sounded, was just more of the same IMO.

You think "Rose Garden," "Sleeping Angel," "Garbo" and "After The Glitter Fades" are more of the same? For that tour, certainly, but those are songs that she rarely if ever brought out before, and certainly hasn't performed since. If DVDs had been in 1998 what they are now, Stevie's Storytellers could have been a wildly successful title. Of course, she could still release it now, if she really wanted to.

I can't really judge those three other songs you mentioned, since I only have a crappy bootleg of those performances. ;) But you are right, those are not mainstream. There's your reason why they got cut, probably.

Well yeah, of course what got aired was almost exclusively the "hits." But if she'd released a CD or VHS/DVD at the time, there would have been ample room to add those cut songs back in and re-edit the whole show. That would probably have been the biggest selling point, actually: "NEW Stevie Nicks Storytellers, INCLUDING FOUR SONGS NOT SEEN ON TV!!!"
