Hey, does anybody have that California Jam video that Stevie was in,
that was posted quite awhile back?
(The outdoor concert.)
Any chance you could re-post that?
As we used to say in grade school,
I'll be your best friend for LI-iiife!!! . . .

Yes EXACTLY! :)
I use the Internet at computer clusters at Syracuse University
and didn't have earphones to use at the time that video was posted.
Now I do, and I was hoping to be able to see that vid. now! ;) :wavey:

She is IMO magnificent in this and this is very indicative of the era when she would show up in many places and sing with wild abandon and plainly for the love of singing. I also think it is curious that her higer harmony (she does a lower one in parts) dangerously approaches lead vocal status. I get chills and a smile every time I see this!!!!!

Well I love 'er 'ta death but I think a fair part of it was Networking.
But yeah, I love it too and definitely agree that she loved what she was
doing and had a LOT of fun doing it, and yeah, for the love of the singing
and performing, yep, yep!
But seriously, I think it's a VERY large part of why she's been so successful.
She did this the old-FASHIONED way -
she EARNED it!!! :)

It just gives ya a sort of hint at what Fleetwood Mac would've sounded like had Bob Welch NOT left and they'd added Stevie & Lindsey anyway.

That was very cool. Thanks to BTFLCHLD for posting. I think I"ve seen a clip of that before, but never the whole thing.

She is beautiful in this, that's for sure. Someone needs to rip that tambourine away from her- she's alllllll over the place. Maybe it was the coke that got her going so spazzy.
I wish she'd still sing like that. Listen at 3:35 and she comes in on the vamp and starts wailing all over the place and then belts that fukcing high note at just before 3:50. Holy macaroni, that is 15 seconds of pure distilled joy, lemme tell ya!!
She looks so happy through out all of this. Did Bob Welch ever talk about any of this in his Penguin Q&A?? I'm gonna go back and reread that. I'm getting a feeling that Stevie and Bob were (or maybe still are) pretty good friends. Her joy with the whole thing seems to indicate that.

You and I have sung many a harmony line, but I could never do that - ever - in fact I am unsure I would know how.
What a woman

Oh wow. Thank you SO much!
YIKES i enjoyed that!
And it looks to me like she's having so much fun!
Awesome.
THANK you!!!
By the way watch her at just slightly before 2 minutes in -
not quite sure what she did but I think she switched
from a 2/2 count to a 4/4 count.
Either will do but she's f'g amazing!
Hey what did you think of Submissive Microphone Guy?
Personally I feel he backed down pretty easily - I bet you any amount of
money that Stevie would have been perfectly happy to share the mike with
him. And all she did was smile at him.
FAINTING I could understand, of course! . . .

The best part of the video was when Jeff Conaway interviewed Mick adn Stevie, along with Bob afterward. I had trouble deciding who was higher between Mick, Stevie and Jeff.
