Thank you Tynan!
through either www.ticketmaster7.com.au or www.ticketek.com.au I am not sure which company holds which dates yet.
Did a search for Stevie on each site and it seems that the Melbourne, Brisbane, and Newcastle shows are through Ticketek, while the WACA show in Perth is through TM.

It's good that Stevie can get talented musicians out there for the public to learn about. But I'm not surprised cause she's that kinda person.

I knew who she was and like her "hit" songs, but didn't really know what she was like/what kind of artist she was, you know? Does that make sense? After seeing her, she seems really cool and very talented.

It comes to about $140 US... pretty expensive, but less than tickets for the Vegas shows in May. Those were $170 face and rang up to $200 once all was said and done with taxes and fees. I actually expected the Melbourne tickets to be a lot higher because of the orchestra. I can understand the price for that one. The rest should be cheaper though, it's not like these are tiny venues like Caesar's Palace where they have to make up for the fewer number of seats.

I was only able to catch one Gold Dust show - in Dallas. The one where she says, "hello, I'm Stevie Nicks; no, actually, I just like to dress like her" or did she say that at every show?

BTW that was the show where I snuck up front right at the end of Landslide and when she came to me, I took her right hand with bth of mine and said, 28 years Stevie, and tapped my heart and said thank you. I swear she was looking right at me when I said that. The she nodded her head and winked at me!!!! I couldve die right there. The right hand picture in My sig is from the Dallas show. The second from the right is from 5-11 in Vegas

But these ticket prices are for "A" seating... So I'm sure the "B" and lower seating will be more reasonable. Can't imagine the whole venue at this price. Probably tier pricing like all over venues and shows.

She wore a very similar dress with (pearls on the shoulders, but not the chest) for a lot of Street Angel promo stuff, and at the second Stormy Weather benefit in '02. Might even be the same one altered to have more pearls sewn on.

If anyone's wondering, this is a transcript of the little interview:
Interveiwer: Hello Stevie, wonderful to have you here at Melbourne Cup
Stevie: Thank you
Int:An exciting day for you?
SN: Yes, very
Int: Most important question of the day, what are you wearing?
SN: Well, this is a vintage dress made by a designer named Holly Harp, who actually died a long time ago. So this is from 1978 I've had this dress, and I pulled it out because I thought it was so spectacular that it should be worn again. So it really is lots of love in this dress.
And thats it. I was hoping she would've worn something other than black  She looks like she's going to a funeral....albeit a fantastic funeral

ROCK star Stevie Nicks will be backed by the sonorous harmonies of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra when she performs next year. But do not expect a timid show.
"Led Zeppelin. That's what I want," she said emphatically yesterday.
"Like the strings in Kashmir. I don't want this to be (like the film) The Sound of Music."
The former Fleetwood Mac frontwoman will hit the Rod Laver Arena stage on February 18 as part of her "Gold Dust" tour.
Nicks' promoter has previously lured 1970s rockers Kiss and Meat Loaf to perform with the orchestra, and the 57-year-old singer is working on compositions to accompany her hit songs.
The decision about which songs to perform with the orchestra will come down to their suitability, she said.
"Edge of Seventeen, Stand Back, you don't know," she said.
Nicks has sung orchestra-backed versions of Etta James' classic ballads A Sunday Kind Of Love and At Last at festivals and both may be included in the six or so songs she will perform with MSO backing.
The Melbourne show will be the only place she will perform with the orchestra and her band. Nicks' other dates in Australia and New Zealand will feature her nine-piece band only.
Local legend John Farnham will play Brisbane and Perth, with US singer Vanessa Carlton supporting all shows.
Fleetwood Mac sold tens of million of albums off the back of such hit singles as Dreams, Everywhere and Go Your Own Way. Nicks has toured prolifically around the world as a solo artist.
On Stakes Day, Saturday, the Stevie Nicks Plate will be race seven on the card. Nicks will present the record-shaped trophy then.
She will be at the Melbourne Cup today and is tipping Eye Popper or Makybe Diva to win the big race. She is laying a bet on Xcellent for her mum.
So, if you see a 155-centimetre blonde rock star in a black slouch hat, pearled cape and heels - it's her.

Well, that dress only serves to show how obviously stuffed and pushed up into her stageclothes she is to achieve the look of an ample bosom.
