Today Show! Thanks to my aunt who got the whole show, sent it to me, I downloaded it and have watched it at least 3 times already! She got every Stevie moment, including Couric's intro as *Stevie Nixon*. LOL. Gawd, this was the best I've seen Stevie in a while tho. She looked like she has put on a few pounds but she is probably a *stress eater* and since her dad just passed on, cut the woman some slack I say. The important thing was her performance and it was incredible. Landslide was perfect and the long note at the end? Gawd! I loved how everybody was singing along. I noticed that Waddy almost never took his eyes off of her. Sorry to whoever this pisses off but I think there's some definite chemistry there that goes past friendship. He looked like a man in love. Stand Back rocked. This was the most I enjoyed that song in a while. She didn't have much room to twirl but she made the best of it. She looked and sounded beautiful. I love what she said about the troops and visiting them and the ipods. I think I fell in love with her all over again. Her holding the pooch was too cute and that little dog seemed like he was in heaven. Lucky dog! Waddy at her side and them calling him *Wachtel* instead of Waddy like it was his first name. Again, LOL. Oh well, if they could screw up Stevie's name I guess they could screw up Waddy's. Dreams made me cry and Dreams never makes me cry. It looked like Brooke Shields was crying. I thought I was sick of that song but she brought it back to life. I swear I wish Stevie would just go it on her own for a while without FM. She comes to life when she's on her own and thank you, thank you to my aunt for getting this to me right away. When I found out I was going to miss yet another Stevie thing I was literally crying. Sorry for the long post but I really did fall in love with her all over again today and I had to share that. Your reviews were awesome. Brian, you are f**king gorgeous! Is it just me or does it seem like they all have a blast on that show?

Are you sure about that? I don't remember hearing her say that at the show, and I watch the DVD on a daily basis. I skip the band intros though...I will have to listen/watch again.
....and is it possible to make me some screen caps/video from that DVD? I want the Sorcerer pose...the "show me the high life" pose....where...one arm is above her head and the other is out in front of her. :)

I just watched it again and Stevie loves to do the thing with her fingers during Landslide to _____ (insert guitarist) playing. That's becoming like a signature Landslide thing.
About Waddy, I'm confused. If Stevie said that it would be his last show, why was he there with her today?

I'll watch the bootleg tonight to clear everything up. UTOH ive learned my lesson (this is probably how the worst of rumors get started!) i watched the vegas dvd and here is what she actually says while introducing waddy:
"and over here also, except i actually knew you even before lori. she wasnt even there then, right? this man is a very special guy in my life. this is our last show for a while, tonight. so, i would like to say to you mr waddy watchell, on record, from all of us, thank you so much for being difficult, tough, yell at us all the time every day, make us play our parts right - darryl said today ya know he is such a disciplinarian, and i love it! so we want to thank you, all of us, your band wants to tell you we love you waddy and we will miss you sooo much, and hopefully we will see you very very soon."
LA winds and wildfires have me totally disoriented today...sorry.

I did not take that to mean that Waddy wsa gone forever - just that that was the last show and that the band and she were going to miss him - perhaps until the next time. Who knows for sure, but he was there today - and thank goodness!!!!

K.... am I the only one who hates this? The whole air guitar thing? There was way too much of it during the SYW your. I was so happy to see it go by the wayside this summer (at leats the show I saw). Air guitar is soooooo.... 80s! Lose it, Stevie.

It doesn't bother me too much but I like when she does the air drumming better during Stand Back. I like to do it too.

Oh, NO! I love me some Waddy! It's just not the same without him, IMO. I know she had to really talk him into touring with her again in 2001, but since he was on the tour this year, I hoped she had talked him into sticking it out with her. I don't think he's ill, I just don't think he wants to do big tours anymore. Maybe he'll continue to play any Vegas stints, though.

From reading his Q&A here on The Penguin, I got the distinct impression that her tours bore the hell out of him; as if doing the same thing on a constant basis just isn't a barrel of monkeys for him.
