OH-kay guys I have a question - I'm just curious what people's answers
will be -
What is Stevie's I.Q.? Considering everything, like musical and
verbal abilities, not just "analytical" skills?
I read recently that the average I.Q. of big rock stars is 150 -
so I'll say exactly that - 150 - really does "sound about right" to me.
???
( and yes I understand the concept that she ain't gonna be studying
Rocket Science at MIT anytime soon  )
From The Playboy Interview, July 1982:
"If men gave us just a little more credit and an extra hug and said, 'Good job,' that would solve a lot of it. Women want to be beautiful, sweet, feminine and loving. But they also want to be thought of as intelligent and necessary. And even if your woman is not all those things, you should want her to feel good about herself, to believe in herself."

150 is really, really high. On average people have an IQ of around 100-110. I think Einstein ranks in the 150 division, but I think he even went over 160.

Really? I thought the average was a little higher.
God, I'm smart!!!

I would doubt that she is that smart - in some ways, she is, but I think it's more creative/street smart rather than mathematically intelligent (which is what IQ is measured on). She's said and done some pretty dumb things, let's face it. Cute, pretty, talented, but 150 IQ - that would surprise me!

150 is pretty much the cap on IQ tests, you know. If Stevie has an IQ above 119 (which is high average), I'll eat the chair I'm sitting in.

Isn't Sharon Stone's 165 or 163 or something?

Well, on average, people have an IQ of 100. That's what the scale is based on.
Stevie a 150? Not a chance. That's well in the "genius" range, and while Stevie may be a very intelligent woman in a number of ways, she ain't no IQ genius.

With this particular statment taking the cake:
We need music very badly. The world is in pretty bad shape and it scares me. But I'm not one of those people, like Jackson Browne, who went up to the Diablo Canyon nuclear protest. I said to him, "But they could have broken your fingers-your beautiful fingers that write all those beautiful songs. Are you crazy? We need you to write songs. We don't need you to be in jail."

It's supposedly 154. She's a member of MENSA from what I've heard.

yeah, she's supposed to be quite smart and it kind of shows
BUT, MENSA SCHMENSA - I know a woman in that club - crazy as f*** and lazy - lord she plays solitaire all day - never works...never

I forgot to mention -
Yeah, I understand the concept that Stevie ain't gonna be going to
MIT to study nuclear physics any time soon! :]
Also, I think there's different I.Q. tests so the numbers can mean
different things sometimes. I've seen Einstein's listed as high as
225, and as "low" as 160. Sharon Stone's is supposedly 150.
But yeah, I read somewhere that most successful Rock Stars have
and I.Q. of 150 or so. A lot of I.Q. tests these days measure
"emotional intelligence" and "verbal ability" in addition to analytical
ability - I'm kinda sorta talking about THOSE sorts of tests,
if you catch my drift.
I do admit that I'd much rather hear, "My name is STEVIE, i'll be your
SINGER and POET" than,
"My name is STEVIE, i'll be your BRAIN SURGEON!"
God bless 'er, but she knows where her talents are. :)

There is also the matter of your EQ, which is just as important, if not more important than your IQ. She might rank very high on the EQ scale, who knows. ;)

I'd call her wise and a bit of a smartass but no genius.

I really don't think anything like that can be all that accurate anyway.
