i love my girl stevie, and im not being mean guys! im not , she looked and sounded FINE this morning, BUT...i do think she has gained some weight since the summer tour ( considering her father i am not suprised) OOORR could it simply be that i was just seeing her on TV, and she looked different, the best example was when her back was to the audiance before standback started, her face just looks a lil different, please let me know what u guys thing about this....

I didn't notice it myself, but it's highly possible. She did look amazing didn't she?!

It may have been the angle - I was noticing a lot, maybe all, shots were from Stevie's left side. That always makes one look wide. Mother would not be happy if they had filmed me like that.

I have always thought that Edge of Seventeen dress puts too much junk in her trunk. She actually looked really tiny in her brown pantsuit-sort-of-thing and the coat at soundcheck. Her legs especially- just tiny little things. I would say she is about the same as she was this summer.

I think the additional five pounds was just the make-up but I don't think she looked bad at all. I love that beige skirt with the black jacket and agree she looks way thinner in pants. Did she gain weight? I really don't think so. People look heavier on TV.

It looks like she has gained little to me too. But she is wearing the same dress she was wearing this summer so she couldn't have gained enough to be up a dress size. I think she is probably just eating comfort food since her father passed away. She still looks great though.

I've been eating really unhealthy too these last few months. It is so hard eating healthy when life starts to get hectic!

From LiquidBlue's review I wouldn't be suprised if she was wearing 5 lbs of makeup. Apparently she doesn't look so hot without some foundation. Poor Stevie!

She's always beautiful to me though. I want to see the makeup-less pictures!

Hello, THANK YOU! The only thing about her "fashion" or whatever that really irritates me a lot is that damn wide, dark line painted in her eyelid crease. I just think it looks TERRIBLE! It may have looked okay before, but not now. HATE, HATE, HATE IT!!!!

*mmkay, sorry. That eye crease black line thing gets me worked up*
I like how they did her makeup for the Dance. Nice and subtle and natural. Of course, that was almost ten years ago so I'm sure they had a better canvas to work with then, to put it delicately.

That heavy make-up she's been wearing lately is probably supposed to be just for concert lighting. For those of us who are never in the front row, it doesn't look like a lot of makeup. She should have went with a more photo-session style application but may have been betting the TV cameras wouldn't have picked it up so dramatically. That thick dark line over her eyelids is meant to give her sexy "bedroom eyes", not come across as the war paint it more closely resembles.

Actually to ME she looked THIN!
I think it's less that though, and just that she
seemed tired and as if somebody had knocked the
wind out of her. Obviously it's impossible to tell
just from this of course but she seems to have come
to some sort of "acceptance." It really did seem to
me that she was losing it at the end of Stand Back though -
she barely got the last words out. I loved the performance
itself but let's be honest - considering what she's capable
of, that was a "C," raised to an "A" just for even showing up.
But mostly it seemed to me that this was very healing for her -
she knows now (in her heart) that the stage is still there,
the microphone will be there any time she wants to grab it, ( :o )
and most importantly the fans are still there to give their love
and support. And -

The Princess is becoming a Queen. :xoxo:

Who KNEW!?

Oh yeah, ALL of us!

By the way was Brooke Shields crying? Had trouble telling but it sure
looked that way to me.

I don't think she has, either. Homegirl has had junk in the trunk for as long as the Lennon Sisters have been together and those layers upon layers don't help to minimize it.

You know I've often wondered, knowing she has wide hips (she's admitted this) and a bit of a ghetto booty why would she continue wearing those layers? It only makes the situation worse. It makes her look bigger than she is to begin with. Yes she wears black to make herself look more slender but layers of black don't do it sister.

Calf/Ankle length black jackets with a sown in waist *would*, so I'd suggest that for her. Kind of like what she had on in the first scene of the DR doc, but for showbizz' sake she could make it a little fancier I guess. But she looked great in that jacket.

Hello! That's what I've been saying.

Why in the hell does she pile on the clothes? It's illogical. Imagine if Queen Latifah dressed like that. I love her to death, but she'd look like the second coming of The Blob.

It's no different on Stevie a lot of the time. Case in point: the Street Angel tour. Those clothes made her look like an even more rotund Baby Jane Hudson with even shittier hair. If I had been in a wheelchair, I would have been horrified that she'd try to come off the stage and serve me a dead rat.

I'm starting a petition to be posted on the nicksfix for a new stylist. Someone must help our girl out! Do you think she knows and is ignoring suggestions (or perhaps no one in the inner circle is saying anything?) or is it possible she is totally set in her ways and is not willing to make any changes? I could come up with a number of outfits that would still be within her comfort zone and not accentuate her problem parts. Come on people it doesn't take a rocket scientist! I'm still not over the SYW granny disaster. How they could have let her go like that for 2 years is beyond me.

I wrote in another post that I think Stevie may be a *stress eater* and since her dad just died, she probably has put on some weight. I think that makes her self-conscious so she wears the granny clothes to cover it up. I can't help it tho. I still think she's gorgeous and yep, they could get her something nicer to wear when she needs to cover up and they could also lighten her makeup up a lot but there's not much they can do to make Stevie look bad. Something inside of her shows through whatever stage she's in physically. It's like a light and nothing ever puts that out. Can you all see it? She is eternally beautiful.

Personally, she looked great and sounded great. She is in her older 50's, we all gain weight easily once we are out of our 30's. Believe me, it will happen to you someday :D Her dad just passed away so I am sure she had some stress dealing with his illness and death. I was so excited to see her this morning on tv and she was just wonderful. Stevie looks better than Katie C. and she is at least 11 years older than Katie :) Love Stevie and glad she is out there promoting herself and the good causes she believes in. So cute with that little dog too

Well, she definately did not gain any weight at all... she looked exactly the same as she did the last night in Vegas, just a month and a half ago...

If I implied that she didn't look good without makeup, then i gave the wrong impression... She didn't look bad at all.. in fact, I was pretty impressed how she looked without makeup... And obviously she's not insecure about how she looks without it because there were dozens of people staring at her (no makeup, hair in a pony, etc) and didn't seem to mind...

She seemed confident with her makeup-less self :p

I'm not sure if Stevie's gained any weight. I honestly think that for someone with a more voluptuous figure, layers aren't the way to go. In that brown pantsuit, she looks much slimmer. It depends on the look, but IMO, layered skirts and a lot of clothing on top for any size body frame just looks bulky and busy (even on 5'11 supermodels!). That's why Mary Kate Olsen does it - she's so skinny from anorexia that she puts on about 10 layers of clothes to hide it from the media.

Anyhoo, as for the dark line Stevie draws above her eye, I think she's trying to mimic Garbo. The thing is, Garbo's makeup looked wonderful in B&W photos, but I'm sure if you saw the makeup in color or in person, it would look really bad. Plus Garbo's eyes were wider and of a different shape than Stevie's:

I think some of her outfits are a little out there for casual fans. People that saw her on the today show and weren't familiar with her witchy persona may have been scratching their heads.

I have to say that I just watched her Today show performance again and it is amazing! A great show!!!

I don't think she ever wears the same thing from tour to tour. She may add a shawl or a layer to a skirt or use the same top from a certain tour but all in all it's a mix of several pieces that make up the outfit. Remember the SYW skirt had a bottom layer of a fishnet-type fabric.

I myself prefer she keep up her signature witchy look just like she's always done but then come out with something totally different for a song or two like she did on the Gold Dust Tour with the pants and the Beauty/Beast velvet thing. Aside from the frizzy Street Angle hair and the ugly-ass reeboks, she's never disappointed me.
