Has anyone ever written Stevie @ P.O. Box/Carrollton, Tx address? Did she reply?

I would really like to send her a note. I've tried the Nicks Fix /"Ask Stevie" and have never gotten a response, which I guess I can understand. And now probably isn't a particularly good time (coming off summer tour and her father passing away).

Just curious if anyone else has tried and had any luck...

It is a hit or miss. (mostly miss) I am not sure what the TX address is. Her home is in AZ. Forget the record label, it is like flushing it down the toilet - it might float to her...mostly not. I know SOME people have had luck, but not many.....The ledgies sent her a very, very nice flower arrangement back when she was in Vegas, included an address, and heard nada, nothing, zippo, ..... :(

Welcome to the Ledge BTW ! :wavey:

Stevie doesn't accept mail at the Phoenix address - the only

way to send her mail is through the Carrollton P.O. Box.

PROBABLY what works best if you want to get a reply is to say something

she's never heard before. For example,

"DEAR Stevie, I'm your NUMBER ONE FAN! I just LOVE you so MUCH!

I LOVE your music and I just LOVE Stand Back and Edge of Seventeen

and OH my GOD i just LOVE GYPSY! ! ! ! ! And I *LOVE* your CLOTHES

they are just SO cool! ROCK ON, GOLD DUST WOMAN!"

The other idea is to send her a 10,000 page manifesto, if you want it

to end up IMMEDIATELY in the trash instead of just being glanced at

by her assistant.

Psssst -

Short.

Sincere.

Polite.

Original, or at least interesting.

And SANE!!!! :blob1: :]

Good LLLLUUUU-uuuuuuucckkkk!!!

PSSSS II: CHRISTMAS CARDS!!!!! AND B-DAY!!!! ( May 26

SHHHHH!!!!

( obviously at the appropriate times... )

She LIKES receiving THOSE, as long as it's sincere.

Jim, the TX address is for John Kinney. He compiles all the stuff he gets and passes it on to her.

So Ive always wondered how much, if any money does John Kinney receive from Stevie and her people. I would assume it started with the Nicksfix became the official site years back.....????

you are welcome- snowman
and welcome :wavey: You'll love it here ;)

Personnaly, I have never sent her anything-figured it would never be seen, and honestly, I didn't have anything new to say to her that she hasn't heard 1000 times.
Except maybe....."If you are ever in New Hampshire, can we go out and have a nice cold glass of chardonnay, a juicy steak, some local fresh vegtables and talk about your life-and how you have affected mine- for about 2 hours??"
But I haven't done that -just thought about it :D

I wrote to an address in one of the tour books (probably TOSOTM) to request a copy of the letter she sent the troops in the first Gulf War. I got a response and a copy within two weeks - this was like in 1992 and way before the net  So, that was a cool thing.

I wrote about my aunt - the biggest Stevie/FM fan I have ever seen in my life on the Rumours forum. In the early 80's she received 2 response letters from Stevies assistant, nice long front and back page hand written letters that she has framed, talking about how much Stevie loved her letters and so on and so forth!

Some people who sent letters to the TX address (which John Kinney of the Nicksfix picks up in a big pile and sends them to Stevie) actually got signed photos back from her...so you never know. But according to him she DOES get them all, and will read them all eventually, sometimes it just takes awhile...

Yes, my aunt got a signed pic on the 80's also! Stevie is awesome to her fans!

John Kinney runs Stevie's Official Web Site for her.

( And in my opinion does a dynamite job. )

The fanmail is handled through the Official Web Site by John personally.

GUESS where JOHN lives???  :)

I don't think this is likely at all.

Stevie doesn't drink . . . chardonnay. ( Actually she might but -

DEFINITELY not Red Wine. )

Might I suggest a nice Bordeaux instead?

That, a juicy steak, some local fresh vegetables, and talk about her

life - and how she affected yours - for about two hours?

NOW you're TALKIN'! :)
