... Stevie used to wear those face jewels (i call them face jewels because i don't know what else to call them :) ladies, any help?) around 1998-1999?

I thought it was kind of a cool thing that she used to do. At least it was something different she was trying with her look. (It was also very Gwen Stefani of her as well ;) )

did you guys like it, dislike it? thoughts..

Little Indian things! When I see those on her, I always think she needs a towel-down!

I don't know what "towel down" means, but they're just sparklies. She wasn't wearing them where Bindis go, (center of forehead) and bindis usually have color.

With or without face jewels, Stevie is a fanastic looking women all on her own. :]

I thought they were cute :) I had to laugh though--when me and my hubby went to the Grand Rapids show a couple of months ago--they have photos hanging up of different rockers that a photographer took at the venue--and when my husband saw the one of Stevie from the Enchanted show he was like--look--her photo is messed up--she has a spot on her forehead!! And I was like--no--that is suppose to be there--it is a little jewel.......

I thought they were awesome too. It was nice to see her spice it up even a little bit and find something she loved and bring it to the stage...that's cool that she could share that with us. I started wearing them a little bit as well and love them...they are so much fun.

When Prince's Musicology tour opened last year, he did a telecast to movie theaters where fans could go and watch opening night on the big screen. Before the show started the camera was panning through the crowd spotting celebrities, and wouldn't you know it there was Stevie. Wearing a light colored shirt, and the face jewels. It was nice to see that she brought it back.

Then of course she stopped wearing the square ones and started hot-glue gunning them on the front of her Reeblechs. Eww. Someone must have a pic of when she was doing that. That's what I'd call "putting lip stick on a pig".

Actually Gwen wore the jewels for the Stormy Weather Benefit Don Henley hosted for The Walden Woods Foundation that they both performed in....I met Mick Fleetwood that night at Intermission. The jewels seemed too young on Stevie..but  Stevie was the bomb on "At Last" that evening!!!

I thought they were cool. I'm glad she didn't continue to wear them, but they were fun while she did.

On a slightly more totally unrelated note, just while we're talking about what little bits of jewellery are called ... can anyone tell me what name you'd put on these? They're like gloves made of jewels, or maybe they're rings and bracelets connected like a glove ... argh! I've no idea!!

Sarah Brightman wore these things on a couple of her DVDs, they're fairly Stevie-esque ... I really want one but I've no idea what to ask for in the shops!

Any ideas?

These are quite lovely, I have some of them, they are called by different names, depending on the vendor:
Hand Flower
Slave Bracelet
etc. There are some very pretty ones, here:

http://www.sblades.com/brclts.php

Some have four rings, some a single ring, you wear on your center finger, both are very beautiful.

I will also be adding some of the cooler ones to my own store, as every time I wear mine, I make sales :)

Brightest blessings, everyone!~Barbara

I liked those, it was so cute when I went to see the Enchanted Tour in Florida with my dear friend Crystal, we had backstage passes, and the band invited us back to their hotel for a drink (you had to be on a special guest list to even get into the parking lot, if you were not staying at the hotel, it was just lovely)...when Sharon and Mindy came to the lounge (they were only there briefly, then back up to their rooms, Stevie, of course, never appeared)...they had on the rhinestones, too...Sharon's were a beautiful sapphire blue colour, and looked great with her jet hair. She was SO elegant..
Anyway...I love the rhinestones, must admit, I wear them, too, sometimes...

Yes, she wore Bindis and they were all the rage at the time. I even wore them a few times. I do think that they were a bit too young looking for her but hey it was the hot style then so why not.
