The second I heard dreams. Her voice is one of the first things that I conciously remember going ooohhh, what was that, who IS this............

It was 1980 something. (I'm only 24) Which is why I get bitter when people discuss how WONDERFUL the wild heart tour was! ;) the 45 of talk to me was one of the first records I ever bought. Because I missed the 70's, I remember feeling VERY confused by the fact that "Stevie Nicks" was in a band called Fleetwood Mac. OOOHHHH How little I knew!! But that's ok, I more han make up for it with my obsession now.

I've been a fan of Stevie's since 2001, when I heard the hype about her "new album" on VH1 and went to look up more info. I was listening to "Edge Of Seventeen", and it's all history from there. :p

Landslide. And I was hooked.

I had no idea who sang it, and had to sort of figure out who this Stevie was, and how could she be in a band, and a solo artist, and what other songs where there, b.c I had to hear them. That was only 97, I was only . . .16. I found her and the Mac just in time to miss the Dance tour.

But, I've been addicted every since, and was finally able to see her with the Mac Sept 28, 2003 at Wachovia in Philly. Then Hershey, And then in Camden. And I finally saw her solo just this past July 1, and almost died to realize I was in the front row!! And got a handshake!! Sigh. . . :]

Became a fan when my mom brought home FM's greatest hits album. I think she got it around 89-90, a year or two after it came out. I was about 10.

How many years or months have u been a fan?To me, fan is short for fanatic -- in other words, the point at which I started collecting every magazine article or photo, rummaging through Goldmine & other magazines for ads from vendors selling concert photos of the Mac, buying bootleg audience tapes of shows, taping every appearance off TV & taping every interview off the radio, etc. I started doing all this in 1978. I saw some Fleetwood shows in 1977, but my real fanaticism (fan) was under way the following year.
Do u remember what song u first heard?I don't remember because I'm sure I heard Fleetwood Mac songs like "Rhiannon" & "Over My Head" before I was a fanatic (fan). In 1975, I was still listening exclusively to AM radio because I was a pop song baby. I had no interest in hard rock, blues rock, cock rock or hippie-dippy shlock rock. In 1975, Elton John was king on my little record player.
When was your first Stevie solo concert?December 7, 1981, at this old place, the renovation of which was completed just a few weeks before Stevie opened her L.A. engagement:

I am a fan of Fleetwood Mac, the entire band. Stevie comes along with this territory. She's not the star of the show to me though. She's only part of it. Christine to me is THE female voice of this band. Mainly because, she HAS a voice. Warm and resonant. Stevie and her reedy croak have gotten her far in life, and she has a definite place in this outfit, but her execution of her songs is surely an acquired taste. Anyway, I've been a fan since the 70's. When I was in High School. I discovered Stevie's solo work quite late in life and quite by accident when someone gave me her Enchanted Boxed set. I had a listen, and decided some of the songs were actually quite good. And some, were, as Chris McVie would say, "rubbish." It all seems to come together. I find her an interesting person, even if she's as nutty as a fruitcake at times. Like most interesting women I know and read about, she's fun and she's a complete flake. If Tasha Tudor could get up and rock, she'd be Stevie Nicks. :p

Oooh, love that theatre! David, Is that the Wiltern? Oh wait, the Fox Wilshire?

I don't know if I can really answer these question as a "Ledgie" since I am new to this board, with no intro (should've been more polite, like 53yearoldpixie), and only one post before this one.

I have been a fan for 30 years, ever since I first sang along with "Dreams" into my hairbursh. I know I had heard Rhiannon before, on KHJ, but it was just part of my 70's soundtrack. The fandom began when I bought Rumours, 1976,with my own money, and spent all that time trying to see into the photos in the insert. At that time I was equally into Christine, for her voice, but my ten year old self wanted to be Stevie!

I didn't see Stevie until 1983: Inglewood Forum October 2, 1983, and then
September 17, 1985 Mulholland Tomorrow, and...that's it. I wish now that I had seen more. I stopped seeing any stadium shows in my early 20's, got all snobby and would only see acts in small clubs, medium-sized venues.

I didn't see Stevie until 1983: Inglewood Forum October 2, 1983Well, you saw the greatest Stevie Nicks concert of all time, as far as I'm concerned. It's never been equaled. I have a rough old tape of it, but I keep hoping a really great recording of it comes to light. Remember how she twirled out onstage during the slow intro to "Gold Dust Woman" & the first thing she sang was that amazing yelp/yowl? And she just kept yelping/yowling the whole night, & chattering in her manic high.
and then September 17, 1985 Mulholland TomorrowShe came onstage, overweight & dressed in a trench coat, during Petty's set for "Stop Dragging My Heart Around," & at the end of the song, said, "Tom said to tell you that I'll be back later." Remember the guy who climbed up on the edge of the stage at the end of the concert when they all took their bows & grabbed her "Stand Back" cape? I knew that guy! He was a real rat -- he lived in a dingy apartment in La Habra. He was the reason "Battle of the Dragon" got kicked off Rock A Little & put on that dumb soundtrack instead.

I still have my Mulholland Tomorrow shirt! Did you buy a shirt, an ugly gray shirt with purple logo & lettering?

Been a casual fan since 1975. Been a fanatic since 1977. I've been a fan since I was in middle school.
It was Stevie's voice that got me. I got Fleetwood Mac and Rumours in 1977 and I was hooked by the whole band. Now of couse it is mostly about Mr. Buckingham. :)

Do u remember what year it was? Had to be between1982 & 1983 cause I was ALL over the Gypsy & Stand Back Videos. Being as Stand Back came out in 1983-ish, I am gonna say atrating point was 1983 and all downhill from there!
Do u remember what song u first heard? Stand Back, but then I LOVED Tusk, so I had known I liked FM, but like someone and so many have mentioned, the "knowing" of Stevie being the girl from FM was yet to be realized.
When was your first Stevie solo concert? 1989 The Other Side of The Mirror, post Loma Prieta earthquake.

I remember listening to Landslide over and over.....
I was 17 and in love- and Stevie was singing my thoughts about my guy (or so it seemed.)
Listened to Fleetwood Mac for years before that-(Had a friend with an older brother..he introduced us to FM around 1972? approx. Starting buying all their albums...then came Stevie and Lindsey and a whole other band was born. I bought BN and a whole other influence came into my life, Something magical about that girl and Lindsey.
So, it seems like I have been listening to her my whole life... (she is only 10 yrs older than I)
I don't collect things- except the music and I don't spend lots of money on concerts, anymore.

But I feel as though,...just sometimes,.. she knows my heart... and is singing my emotions out loud...
And, that is why she continues to fascinate me and I listen, still...

How many years or months have u been a fan?

About 4 years now. Until then I only had the FM Greatest Hits album and Timespace but I only listened to 4 songs on it (ROF, SIAB, TTM and ICW). Then Bootylicious came out and I heard that they used a Stevie sample in the song, so I decided to check out Edge....then the rest of Timespace, then I became totally addicted.

Do u remember what year it was?

2001

Do u remember what song u first heard?

Solo the first song I consciously remember hearing was Rooms On Fire and I loved it.

When was your first Stevie solo concert?

:( Never. I saw two Say You Will concerts but nothing solo....yet

MmHmm, that was the first 45 I ever bought, "One Tin Soldier" by Coven. Hee. I think I switched to KMET, and then KLOS, with some KROQ at the beginning of high school.

you saw the greatest Stevie Nicks concert of all time, as far as I'm concerned. It's never been equaled. Remember how she twirled out onstage during the slow intro to "Gold Dust Woman" & the first thing she sang was that amazing yelp/yowl? I got a floor seat for that show, but I missed a huge chunk of it: my boyfriend got me there late, and someone was in my seat. It was an intense show. I was peeved for missing the beginning, but I can't fault the boyfriend - poor guy didn't have a ticket and he drove me all the way from Hermosa Beach!

She came onstage, overweight & dressed in a trench coat, during Petty's set for "Stop Dragging My Heart Around," & at the end of the song, said, "Tom said to tell you that I'll be back later." Remember the guy who climbed up on the edge of the stage at the end of the concert when they all took their bows & grabbed her "Stand Back" cape? I knew that guy! He was a real rat -- he lived in a dingy apartment in La Habra. He was the reason "Battle of the Dragon" got kicked off Rock A Little & put on that dumb soundtrack instead.

Wild, I didn't remember what she was wearing,or any of those details, until you described them. From where we sat - way back, you couldn't see much in the details of what anyone was wearing, just color. Did she maybe have something like a military coat on? I do remember her saying that "Tom said..." thing. Weird. You know I didn't go to that show to see L. Rondstadt, but I remember thinking she just blew the roof off with her version of Tumbling Dice.
I didn't buy a shirt.

You know, I think I had decided I was a snob (or "snoob") when I stopped buying tickets to big shows, but I think the real reason is that I was cheap. I never bought any memoribilia, except a few songbooks. I just wanted all my money for more records, More records, MORE Records Bwahahaha!

Thanks!
Hey I would see her anywhere now! It is just hard to get away for a night from my toddler.

I think, back then, I had gone to a lot of shows where we shelled out lots of money for seats so far away the artists were just blurs, and the sound was just ok, and I felt gypped. And then I had some jobs in little music venues, and just got into another scene. I saw some amazing shows in those little places, but I know I missed some great concerts too! I am thankful for those brave audience recorders, so I can hear some of what I missed.

But I never stopped loving Stevie... Ok, maybe for a little while, when she donned those crinoline skirts and Grand Ole Opry hairdos.

I can't believe I said "snooby" :o

The first Mac song I heard was Peacekeeper. My Mum got Way You WIll and got me to listen to it in the car one night. I bet she regrets that now. I really liked that song, then I got listenint to Running Through the Garden and Stevie's voice was just amazing. It was a complete awakening, like nothing I've ever heard before. So then I stole the CD and never looked back. That was about February 2004. I'm nearly sixteen. I know in lots of ways I'm a very newbie Macfan, but believe me, I got obsessed _very_ fast. I got the Dance after that, found out that Stevie and Lindsey were the girl and the guy respectively :sorry:, found out just how sexy Lindsey was, discovered Silver Springs, and the rest is history.

And no, I still haven't been to a concert. *sob!*

I first became interested in Stevie's music about 14 years ago (in 1991 or 92) when I was watching MTV and they did a block of Tom Petty videos (Remember when they did those? When they actually played music videos?!!!) and they included "Stop Draggin My Heart Around" as part of the block.
I didn't make the connection, though, between this weird blonde chick with beads in her hair and that band Fleetwood Mac that my parents used to listen to (used to as in before they became parents. Somehow their musical taste went down the sh*tter with the arrival of children) for quite some time. In fact, it was only shortly before The Dance that I figured it out.
I've never attended a Stevie solo concert. I have all of her solo albums (plus BN and a lot of demos) but once I got into Fleetwood Mac I discovered Lindsey Buckingham, and just couldn't imagine paying to see Stevie without him. (Now I just can't imagine paying to see her at all, since I found her performances on the Say You Will tour to be unexciting for the most part and even annoying at times - see her "I'm a little teapot" hand gestures on "Say You Will.")

I was around 6 or 7 and I am 29 now. My dad bought me my first Stevie cassette when Wild Heart came out. He also bought me Fleetwood Mac Mirage and Christine McVie's solo album. Then when I was around 15 or 16 I was listening to the Wild Heart and freaked out. I said to my dad I need the rest of her music so we went to the store and bought all of Stevie's CDs and Fleetwood Mac CDs that she was on. Then little by little I started collecting the Fleetwood Mac albums Stevie wasn't on.

Do u remember what song u first heard?

Stand Back on radio. Then on MTV. I keep remembering my daddy saying "SHE IS SO HOT."

How long?

About three and a half years, my ex's mum gave me "Rumours" on my 17th birthday, because she said I dressed like Stevie Nicks. (I hate having to point out to people, that no i do not dress up like Stevie Nicks now, I was wearing this stuff before I knew she existed :)). I just fell in love with it, but I only bought a solo cd after reading a reference to "loves a hard game to play" in a book by Judy Blume (Summer Sisters). So I bought Timespace. I still have a soft-spot for that song, even if most people hate it! Became obsessed, trawled the net for hours and hours at a time and spent a lot of money.

First song?

Was actually "Rhiannon" at ex's house, but I didnt know it was sung by Stevie. I fell for it big time tho, since it was the version from the Live 1980 cd, altho I didnt know that at the time.

First concert?

None, ever :( Couldnt afford to eat, let alone pay those prices to go to the SYW tour and Stevie doesnt come here for her solo shows.....*cries quietly in the corner*

I was about 15 when I really discovered Stevie. So it's been...9 years  I can't believe it's been so long. I've always been into classic rock, so was always familiar with Stevie/Mac. The song that got me into her was Rhiannon though. My first concert wasn't until SYW in Moline IL. I got into FM right before the Dance but was young and didn't have enough money to go. I had tickets for Enchanted and ShangriLa and they all got cancelled. :( So I didn't get to see her till SYW...and have never seen her solo. I have a feeling I may never get the chance to.

None, ever :( Couldnt afford to eat, let alone pay those prices to go to the SYW tour and Stevie doesnt come here for her solo shows.....*cries quietly in the corner*That's a trend I've noticed. A lot of younger fans say they haven't been to see Fleetwood or Stevie, even when there have been shows in their area in recent times. The reason is probably the extremely high cost of concerts today. In the olden days, everybody went to concerts. They were so relatively cheap. You didn't blow your entire savings just to go to a stupid concert, & everybody went -- especially fans who lived in big cities or suburbs. (I don't know what fans in the boondocks did -- maybe they went to concerts, too.)

But now that concerts -- & especially Fleetwood Mac concerts -- cost so much money, I run into more & more fans who just can't go.

It depends what kind of music you're into now though David. Not every concert costs an arm and a leg. I still go to loads and it's usually only the older legendary artists who charge a fortune.

Unfortunately, my musical tastes being of the classic rock/heavy metal from the 1970's and 80's it costs ALOT to go and see them. Normally I bite the bullet and go, since I might never get another chance. Not sure why I didnt for FM...but the prices were double what I paid to see Alice Cooper that year and I could barely afford that one. Guess that explains it! :)

Do u remember what year it was? I remember Stand Back being on MTV all the time in 83, and I remember RAL, TITN & TOSOTM very well. But my obsessive fandom started with The Dance in 97.

1.) Approximately 12 years of fandom here :wavey: .

2.) 1993ish. I remember hearing FM songs on the radio long before that, but it wasn't until I was 11-12 yrs old that I put 2 and 2 together.

3.) First FM song was either 'Don't Stop' or 'Say You Love Me'. First Stevie was 'Dreams'. (I think...?)

4.) 1994 Street Angel tour. I convinced my parents to take me. I recognized the FM songs and a few of solo hits. At the time I only owned FM-Greatest Hits and Timespace.

How many years or months have you been a fan? Since I was a wee lad and Tango came out, so about 18 years.

Do you remember what year it was? 1987. I specifically remember it because I got my Fisher Price record player for my birthday that year.

Do you remember what song you first heard? I remember hearing Gypsy and telling my grandmother "that person has a funny voice," but Seven Wonders drew me in. Odd, because I can't stand that song now.

When was your first Stevie solo concert? July 19, 1991 at Great Woods in Mansfield. I don't have fond memories of it, so I like to forget about it and just remember the opening night show of the Street Angel tour, which was marvelous.

I loved Stevie's voice from the moment I heard it and was conscious of it - which was 1981 - Stop Draggin My Heart Around. (I had heard Dreams and Rhiannon as a younger child; they were tucked away in my memory and pulled out later when I heard them again and made the connection)

I then became absolutely mesmerized with the Hold Me video - and the woman in the red dress. In my young ignorance, I had no idea they were the same person! :o But I was hooked. Then came Gypsy.... oh, my Lord! The rest is history.

The clincher was the release of Tango in the Night - and my first Fleetwood Mac concert ever. I don't think I took my eyes off Stevie the entire night. That's when I realized I had known and loved all her earlier songs for years, and all the pieces came together.

When was your first Stevie solo concert?
Other Side of the Mirror tour - summer 1989 - Ottawa, Ontario.

How many years or months have u been a fan?

I first discovered Stevie in maybe, 1978(?). Whenever I Call You Friend was my absolute favorite song. My parents had Rumours and I think I started listening to that around the same time. My sister and I had a "routine" to The Chain.

Do u remember what year it was?

Maybe 1978- I was 10 years old!

Do u remember what song u first heard?

Other than the Kenny Loggins duo, I would have to say Dreams.

When was your first Stevie solo concert?

Rock A Little, I guess 1986. SO much fun! My girlfriends and I dressed all Stevie-ish and wrote on the back of my car "Stevie or Bust!".

I became a Stevie fan when I heard "Whenever I Call You Friend", but i didn't know it was Stevie at the time...I sang to it all the time when I was little.

"Dreams" and "Rhiannon" made quite an impression back then too, because I recently found a tape with those 2 songs recorded over and over from the radio (to try to get every scrap of sound, y'know!)

My first Stevie concert was "Street Angel".

Biggest overlook: "Straight Back" from Mirage...wow! what a song!

Sorry this is going to be kind of long so I won't be offended if you don't read it :).

I couldn't possibly remember the first time I ever heard Stevie Nicks on the radio. I'm assuming it was probably Dreams in the early 80's but at that time I was very young and didn't know who sang it. I honestly don't have a concious memory of saying "Oh this is Stevie Nicks or FM and I really like this song".

I know that the first time I saw her visually was either the Stand Back Video in 83 or I Can't Wait in 85. I wish I could remember which! All I know was I thought she was really cool.

When I was 8 I became a huge Madonna fan and was never really into any other female artists. I was completely obsessed with Madonna growing up and although I remember hearing Stevie songs as I got older and loving them (I Can't Wait, Stand Back and Rooms on Fire were the 3 songs I feel in love with Stevie over). I woulnd't say I was a big fan.

When I was in high school I saw an ad in the paper for a Stevie Nicks concert in SF (it must have been around 94) and I remember really wanting to go but couldn't find anyone to go with :(. I was still very into Madonna in those days.

In college I bought The Dance and FM Greatest Hits but didn't listen to them that often although I always had some fascination with Stevie. I also bought Timespace around 1997 but the only 3 songs I ever listened to were I Can't Wait, SB, and Rooms. How funny is that? I never bothered to listen to any other songs. I would say at that time I was a casual fan.

In 2001 I had a job in music and my boss gave me a promo got a copy of TISL long before it came out because he knew I liked Stevie. I don't even think I listend to the whole album at that time.

In March of 2003 I went through the worst time of my life. I lost my job and the love of my life within the same week. I heard a commercial on the radio for the SYW show coming to LA and it was like a lightbulb went off. I thought to myself, "I have to see that show, I have to see Stevie Nicks!" and the rest is history. I went out and bought every single Stevie solo album, pretty much memorized the Nicksfix, and studied her and her music like a college course for about 6 months. It worked out well because I wasn't working at the time and it distracted me from the loss I had suffered.

So I've been a hard core fan since March of 2003. I saw her for the first time w/FM around June 03' and first time solo in Vegas of this year.

P.S. I'm still a Madonna fan but she's a far #2 behind Stevie.

Unfortunately, my musical tastes being of the classic rock/heavy metal from the 1970's and 80's it costs ALOT to go and see them.

I feel your pain. I can't really afford to go see anyone I REALLY want to see. And couldn't afford to travel to see Stevie this year.

1974 was when I think I discovered BuckinghamNicks from a friend of mine who was about 8 years older than me. (Instructed me of life 'in the fast lane') Then when FM/FM came out, I was beyond hooked.
The first song I ever listened to was "crystal" off the BN album.
First time to see Fm live - 1977, Dallas, Tex. Cotton Bowl Jam
First time to see Stevie live solo- Caesars Palace 2005.

FYI...I recently looked into my high school year book....noted in there was "Good luck with_______, and the daughter you plan to have someday, Stephanie Rhiannon" Sick, huh? Named long before conception. She wasn't born until 1980. (I graduated in 1976)

My boyfriend took my daugher Olivia to get ice cream and to the park the other day. He took my car and there was a CD of Stevie demos playing. Olivia threw a fit everytime he tried to change it. So she ended up making my boyfriend listen to Stevie demos the whole time they were in the car. Awsome.

Do u remember what year it was? 1975. I was five years old, but remember so clearly how Stevie's voice, and the lyrics, made such an impression upon me.

Do u remember what song u first heard? 'Rhiannon.' I was totally knocked out by this song, and it rocked my world, majorly. I turned to my mother and said, 'When I grow up, I'm going to have a daughter, and name her Rhiannon.' My Mom said she was shocked to hear me say such a thing, especially at that young of an age (5), but didn't really take me too seriously. My daughter Rhiannon is 15 now. :) I remember 'Gold Dust Woman' being my second favourite at age 7 ~ I was always sneaking into my older sister's room and stealing her 'Rumours' record! :D

When was your first Stevie solo concert? I've not seen any of Stevie solo, but I did attend a Fleetwood Mac concert in 1997 (in support of 'The Dance').

Mine was the summer of 1977, when I was 6. I heard Gold Dust Woman on the car radio with my mom, and my attention was immideately drawn to it. I asked my mom who it was, and she told me. Then she bought me Rumours for X-Mas. The rest as they say is history. Unfortunately, Stevie rarely came to Minnesota Solo for a long time up until this year, so the first time I saw her solo was May 30, 1998 in Chicago. It's been 28 fabulous years!!!!

Do u remember what year it was? 1997

Do u remember what song u first heard? Well, what I heard first (WAY before becoming a truly obsessed human being) is Dreams when I was a teenager. I've said it before but my first reaction was "that is the creepiest song I've ever heard."

When was your first Stevie solo concert? I was there for opening night of the Trouble in Shangri La tour. I missed the Dance, had weird excuses for not seeing Enchanted...saw Stevie for two songs at the Central Park in Blue thing (which was a fabulous experience) and just was absolutely determined to be there on opening night. I traveled by Amtrak for 11 hours. My butt was sore but I was one happy camper. I heard the soundcheck with some dear friends I just met that day (Josh, Lori, laurarox) and the moment she sang "it cures the silence" and this giant roar came from the audience...I knew I had made the right decision.

I was listening to one of the 83 shows the other day and she sang Dreams like this and I loved it:
"now there she goes again she says she wants her freedom"
and changes the pronouns on the second verse too. I wish she did more ad libs now like she used to. It's cool that she did some on this last tour though (baby, baby, baby) but I want more!

Fanatic for around 24 years or so ( since 1981 ish)

I was in junior high and a friend's dad repaired jukeboxes for a living, so she got all the 'old' 45's and 33's. I remember listening to the Fame soundtrack and then she put on some song I had never heard. It was Edge of Seventeen, and after about 20 replays, she made me take it off the player. She hid it from me from then on. I think it was around '81 or so. I remember watching and taping the HBO concert on my top loading VCR! i watched it until it wore out.

I think my first solo show was for Other Side of the Mirror era. I think it was chicago or maybe pine knob and i believe she played for 40 minutes and stumbled once or twice at that one, nearly falling off the stage. i will have to see if i have ticket stubs to be sure. my memory of timeline is poor.

That's a trend I've noticed.

I dont know what it is, but I've been very lucky. I wasnt able to see Fleetwood Mac or Stevie until 1997, but since then, it's been 60 times, 40 for Fleetwood Mac, 20 for Stevie. I wanted to make up for lost time. And yes it cost me a helluva lot of money, but what they gave me over the years was more than worth it. Incidentally, here's a list

My mom's friend went to The tusk show in Minnesota, and she got a shirt, which she gave me for my 13th Birthday. That shirt as well hangs in my closet today. It's sorta like the Holy Grail for me. Was it The Tusk show in Detroit that you couldnt go to?

I was sitting in the third row off to the side of Lindsey a bit. I originally had lawn seats, but friends of mine that were there had an extra seat gave it to me for nothing. They told me anyone that has done what I've done deserves that. I was humbled. I real;ly am not out to get things for what I do, but that fact that my friends recognized that made me feel pretty good. I took pics too, but there was this total a***ole security guard that saw me and made me give me my film. We argued for like 2 min, and finally he said' Either I get that film or youre outta here!!!" I took the tilm out of the camera, threw it at him, and told him he was a loser and to leave me the F**k alone to enjoy the rest of the show. He really pissed me off. It wasnt too bad though, since I'd been in the front row in San Diego in '03 and Green Bay in '04 and was able to take pictures there. I have both of those framed hangning on my wall at home.

Well at least when it comes to pix!!! I got to play Lindsey's guitar!! :blob2: Other than that he barely made eye contact though--darn it all!! Was kind of disappointed :( When you said you were right behind me I was all geeked hoping that maybe you got a photo of me playing Lindseys guitar!! ha ha My husband took one but all you can see is my hand....... Definitely the second show--but it could be because I was a lot closer :) For the first show my brother and his wife and my sister and her husband as well as my mom all went--I'm pretty sure my hubby sat that one out...... they (the Mac) seemed okay though--but the others with me were kind of like  ha ha!! Not too impressed....... I remember I kept saying--the next song is going to be........ :D I do remember the family *itching about the seats though--can we be any closer to the top of the arena???? Whatever!! What did they want for ticketmaster?? And of course I was clueless about ticket buying back then...... We were over to the side--Lindseys side--way way up!! Nothing really stands out from that show though for me truthfully!! I remember the second show much more...... When it comes to concerts it seems like I have a short term memory though--sorry!! Maybe it is because I'm in such awe the whole time.........

I know. I rememeber that for the Minneapolis show on October 8, Lindseys voice was really off. I met Mick later that night after the show at the hotel and he told me it was becasue Lindsey had a cold. I remember havgin been to the Cincinnati show on 10-3,(Beautiful weather) Then Detroit the next night,(SHitty and rainy) Then Indianapolis the night after that(Beautiful weather again). I think the weather changing like that, plus after doing 3 nights in a row, he was pretty spent by Minneapolis. But I had front row that night, so I didnt care!!!!!

That sucks about the film. I would have made them give me the $ back for ruining my film. I guess that it was a blessing that I could not find a ticket in the first 3 rows of that show so I did not end up going. I use digital and a SD card costs too much $ to have taken away.
I still can't figure out why some arenas are so strict about cameras. I know that the Mac don't care.

I've been a Stevie fan since 1997 when The Dance came out. Landslide was the first song that got me "hooked" but after going out and picking up TimeSpace and Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits, I realized I knew most of the songs. I remember hearing Stand Back a lot when I was 4-5 yrs old. My first Stevie concert was the Shangri La show in Atlanta, summer 2001. Great memories of that show.

I've been a fan since I've been 5 years old. This was how old I was when my oldest sister brought home the FM 'White Album' in LP and 8-Track format. She used to play 'Monday Morning' all the time and it was like a huge sing along for me and my sister, we'd be sitting in the back seat of her blue '72 Pontiac Firebird doing all the versus and chorus and we thought that song was SO much fun to sing. We also liked 'Rhiannon', 'Over My Head', and 'Blue Letter'.

Of course when 'Rumours' came out, my sister (and this time my older brother) bought that album and 8-track too and we sang along to 'Dreams', 'Go Your Own Way', 'You Make Loving Fun' and 'Don't Stop'. I was seven years old then. My Stevie interest took a hiatus though during the Tusk era because no one in my family bought the album and I don't recall it getting any airplay in my New York area. I remember a 'special' on the radio the night it was released where they played some songs, and maybe hearing 'Sara' a few times- but I can't say that it even made the turntables of our local top 40 radio stations and that's what we listened to at home.

When I became a teanager with money of my own for spending, Stevie was at the apex of her 'RAL' beauty and power. The album had just been released, it was ALL over the airwaves here in New York, her hairstyle and makeup 'look' was wildly in style here and she just was the queen that year. I bought the 'cassette' (hee hee) of 'RAL' and also of 'Belladonna', 'The Wild Heart' and 'Tusk' to make up for my lost time. I also became a voracious magazine clipper, snipping out any Stevie or FM mention or picture and putting it in my scrapbook, taping any Stevie or FM thing on TV on my VCR, or recording any Stevie or FM thing from the radio. It was only around 1987 that I discovered there was such a thing as boots of Stevie and FM shows, I had no idea these existed. I started creeping the record collectors shows looking for these and built a small collection.

So, in short- casual fan since I was a wee tot in 1975. Major obsessed fan since 1985. Now that I'm older it wanes somewhat but I do try to keep up to date on things by checking into this board every few days.

Fan since '94.
Randomely checked out the white album from library. When i got to Rhiannon, of course I had heard the song before, but it was like I was hearing it with new ears and I was hooked from that moment on. I loved the whole album and knew I had to know every song, both of FM and Stevie. I was literally immediately enthralled and I have never looked back. The local video rental store had the Tusk Doc, which I rented and got my very first glimpse of FM live doing Sisters Of The Moon. Holy shit!
First Stevie solo shows: August '98. Can't say the Enchanted Tour was a shabby intro to Stevie concerts!
