I hate to be rude...but do we really need a new thread for every single mention of Jess Nicks...Yes we've seen the pic of Jess on the AHI website...it was mentioned in one of the many other threads...My condolences to the Nicks family for their loss...but we really dont IMO need a thread for every single Jess Nicks mention do we?

Talking about it is not the problem...it is having a new thread for every line of discussion, that seems pointless to me..It's easier for everyone if we don't have a different thread for every mention of Mr. Nicks' death.

Chris and it would probably be easier if we just had one thread for ms nicks but instead peeps post about every spectacular thing she does...in a perfect world this would be a chatroom! i guess i understand you may be frustrated but if a statement starts out with i hate to be rude you probably are and that isnt really the kind thing to do when someone chooses to post something that they personally think is interesting or something they want to share...particularly when you consider that often peeps state "why so many guests?" "look at all the lurkers"...etc guests would be more apt to join in if they werent critiqued on things they do...run off before they even bloom...especially when those same things are what we all do...start threads. i personally am glad gypash posted that as i didnt know that was on the AHI site...as i hadnt read thru all the other posts about stevie's father's passing...i would never have known of the dedication. anyways... i knew youd take the time to count...enjoy!

geez man. I apologize Your Majesty.

don't sweat it. there's not a problem with you posting a new thread. we can't keep up with all the threads going on about similar or the same topics. it's not like there a zillion threads on here.

we appreciate you posting the link. that picture on the website is heartbreakingly gorgeous.

I didnt have to take the time to count when I knew I had only posted in two of them, 3 counting this one---and there are somewhere near 20 of them right now..

BTW thanks for your suggestions...i will take them to heart...

Pointless to you, maybe. But you're not the only one who comes to this site. What's the big deal if someone starts a new thread? Don't read it if you're not interested. Some people actually prefer new, fresh threads. Easier to keep track of what you've read and what you have to catch up on. Really, is it that big of a deal?

By the way, welcome Ash! :wavey:

No I was just under the assumption that the more threads created here, uses up the sites' bandwidth...causing it to break as it does often, and creates other problems..I really dont have a problem with the threads about the same thing over and over in general, I just think if we can help the site we all love and use by cutting back in that area it would be good...BUT maybe I heard wrong, maybe excess thread's DON'T use up the bandwidth..maybe one of the mods can chime in

Ah - okay. I didn't get from your first post that this is why you were upset about it. It sounded more like you just personally found it irritating.

I don't know either if the extra threads eat up bandwidth. As you say, maybe someone in the know can chime in...

Thanks for posting I did not see it myself. The problem that I have is when people post almost the same thread with the same info. Some of the posts get too long and go way off topic and I am sorry but sometimes I just don't have the patience to read through them all and I am sure that some other people just do not have the time. If the info did get posted within another thread it is very possible that the info could get lost within all of the other off topic posts. Sometimes you just have to start a new thread like I did with 'Nicksfix Condolences" Now if some had started a thread called "Send Condolences to Stevie" or something like that then I would have had a problem because it is a thread with the same info and some people obviously do not read the thread headings before they post.
