Me too, but then again, my current favorite is nearly despised universally too, so I can relate to Jimmy...but anyway, uh, I'm sort of in a state of disbelief as I write this...but I actually think Two Kinds Of Love is worse than every single song on the Street Angel album. Worst lyric?

I just pulled out the record and I am playing Two Kinds Of Love right now (it's a vinyl sort of day). I like it more than I remembered. It has it's good moments...maybe if Stevie could have come up with something better than "You say 'I hate this!' "..... I don't care for the 'one for the way you walk' lyric either. It's just silly.

Simply because:

"It was the best of times...it was the worst of times...and they both rushed by...like a thief in the night"I do like Not Make Believe, but it seems a little bit underdeveloped, maybe if it had been on SYW instead of, for example, Illume (I just don't like Illume all that much...) it would have been worked on a bit more and might sound a little less like it's just been picked up off the cutting-room floor, so-to-speak...

"I Miss You" is currently #8, while "Don't Treat Me Like A Stranger" comes in at #17, with "That Made Me Stronger" following at #18.. The only 3 Stevie Nicks songs in my ipod top 25..although "Beautiful Child" is at #22, a Fleetwood mac song, but written by Stevie..

"That Made me Stronger" has been getting a lot of ipod play lately.. i think it's the.."dreams reoccur in my solitude.. breaking my heart, injuring my mood.."

I guess i get it..

Gotta chime in on this one as Iv just got my new copy of Enchanted, last one got lost in a move.

OMfrakin God do I love Battle of the Dragon and Sleeping Angel.

If anyone ever doubted her vocal abilities then they need to listen to Sleeping Angel, her vibrato toward the end gives me shivers. I could listen to her doing those AHHHH-Aaaaahhhhsss for an entire CD. Both are on my top 10 for sure.

BTW 2 Kinds of Love one of her worst ever? No way! Its a very cool song with some interesting lyrics and I really like the way she works off of whats his name. He has a deeper kinda voice then Henly,Petty and Linds and it works nicely here.

To answer the thread....

"Blue Denim" Jeez, I can't get enough of the end of this song. I just can't. The vocal at the end is phenomenal.

"Violet and Blue" This is fast becoming my favorite Stevie song ever.

"Talk to Me" I've had disc two from Enchanted in my car stereo for the last three days and I keep skipping to this one all the time. I can't believe how high she sings on this song. And for all those Vegas freeeeks out there, there is no way in hell she can pull off this song these days. No fucking way.

Well, to be completely honest, at this point I am really not into Stevie or the Mac that much anymore...which is so weird to me. I first saw Steve live in '89 and I really became a huge fan of the Mac about 10 years ago, and I thought there was no way I would ever tire of them. I was completely into them...bought up all the albums, collected bootleg videos and tapes, downloaded demos, bought posters and LP's on Ebay...you know, all of that.

And now, I don't know. I mean, maybe I'm just finally burned out. I don't think I've put a Stevie or Mac CD in my player in several months now. I did see Stevie in Houston this year and really enjoyed it, but other than that...I don't know.

My tastes have just changed some I guess...even Pink Floyd who was my #2 band for years and years have kind of fizzeled. I think I was just SO into them that I ignored a lot of other bands...and now that I've gotten away from them some, I've discovered so much more. I actually kind of like a lot of the alternative stuff that is out now...and thanks to my new obsession with a certain movie, I have really gotten into 80's new wave/alternative a lot.

Anyway, I didn't mean to be a Debbie Downer or anything...and I still plan on seeing every Stevie and Mac show that ever comes to town...but I think I just need a break.

But, to the question at hand...since I am not "currently" into any Stevie song, I think I'll say that my all-time-ever-could-never-really-get-tired-of song would have to be...

BEAUTIFUL CHILD

I have loved this song since I first heard it...I had The Chain box set before most of my Mac albums besides GH...and a lot of the Stevie songs on there were so new to me, and so good, that I wondered how I had never heard them before. And I think Beautiful Child was definitely the top out of those. To this day I love it. And when she pulled it out for the SYW tour, I was STUNNED and so thankful it made the DVD so that I can have it forever.

Anyway, sorry for the novel I just wrote, and I hope I didn't put a damper on anyone's love for the band...just some thoughts I was having and thought I'd share them...I'm sure I'm not the only one who's become burned out at some point. Ahem, anyone else let me know so I'm not alone!

Have a nice night,

Brad

Space Needle........since i first heard this number, it cut me deeply. from the long fade-in, that ever-so-strange, water drop, chirp sound that I cannot identify at the beginning, the sad, lonely guitar part just before the vocals, it's just all too amazing. Darkness and loneliness closes around you and swaddles you in a protective emotional armor, hand hammered from a tough alloy of hopelessness and apethy. people looking on, unable to hide looks of disapointment, embarrassment and saddness, all of which fade into expressionless, everted faces of uncaring. The wounds of loss heal into emotional scars. Like scars of flesh, they are hard, stiff and only serve to knit you together, they cannot feel nor function in other way. It's just such a painfully honest look into her mind, I sometimes feel guilty looking in. Sometimes I have to take it off of the player because it hits me so hard and renders me functionless. It's like looking upon something so beautiful that you cannot look any more and must turn away. I guess it's all part of being hopelessly enchanted.

I get burned out on Stevie/Mac. I listened to nothing but them for 2 years straight, and this summer I actually listened to them very little. I started collecting Heart bootlegs and listening to alot of Zeppelin. But lately I have been listening to Stevie more and more. Strangely enough I have been listening to Rock a LIttle, which I never listened to much before. And in the months that I didn't listen to much Stevie/Mac, the one CD that would get occasional play was BuckinghamNicks. But I know how you feel
