Before I got married, I used to record parts of Stevie demos on my answering machine. I would to use the intense vocal parts...without alot of music so it wouldn't sound too muffled. The accapella demos were great for this.

The "non-Stevie" people thought it was odd, but my "Stevie friends" would call to check it out on a regular basis! :o

I didn't realize people still put songs on their voice mails. I thought it was all about downloading ringtones. I wonder if any Stevie songs are available for download via Verizon. I just like the plain old ring, nothing fancy.

I do however remember back in the 80's my mom had "Let's Wait a While" by Janet Jackson on our answering machine for about 2 years. Fun times!

Instead of having a Stevie song on my vm I'll just ask Stevie to record my message and say "Hi, this is Stevie Nicks. Lindsay can't answer her phone right now but she'll call you back when and if she feels like it".

I would say it's because stevie's management can't / won't agree on terms to the licensing rights. There's big money to be made off ringtones .

I've had the same proble, Jaz. No Stevie tunes. I tried to download a Chris Mac tune (Think Aout Me, I think) and even that didn't work.

It shouldn't matter what carrier you have, at least it doesn't here, but I have Vodafone.
