Is it just me, or do other people get annoyed by the large photos displayed at the ends of some posts?
This is not of earth shattering importance, but I find it irritating...it takes longer to page through the posts and interferes with the flow of reading. It's almost as annoying as those two or three word posts that have nothing, really, to contribute to the conversation.

Go to User CP.
Click on Edit Options.
Scroll down the page to Thread Display Options.
Click on the box for Show Signatures so there is no tick in the box.
Voila! No annoyingly large picture signatures.
Also particularly useful for viewing The Ledge while at work (people looking over your shoulder will just see a page of text and no fancy banners).

great info, the photos, personally don't bother me a bit, i love to see what people use especially those who change frequently~ not just the sig photos, but also when people post pics of things, like tommer's vaca, or paula's camping trip, patties pic from the red sox parade & such, & of course the nites when everyone is being crazy & posts pics of themselves, not to mention pics from stevie/FM shows~ sorry i am one of those w/ a big sig pic, & i'm luvin' it!!! :wavey:  ~

It's no real big deal to me i guess. It's like something ou dont like on tv. If u dont like it move past it.

If your signature, banners and/or pictures take up the entire screen length without any of the post being visible, it's too long. If you've got 3 huge banners or pictures stacked one on top of the other and you've thrown in some large moving or blinking images on top of it for good measure.....yes, it's too much. Less is more. I saw one tonight that could make small children blind if they looked at it for too long. I pity the Ledgies on dial up. :distress:

I think that's only an option for Supporting Ledgies. Another great reason to support the Ledge:)

Nothing annoys me more than when someone posts some nice pictures, and then everyone replies to the thread quoting the pictures that were posted, so you see the pictures about 5-6 times by the time you get to the bottom of the thread. I mean if you are quoting one specific photo then that's cool...but you don't need to re-post every single one, we know what you're talking about...
Does anyone else agree with me on that?

Wait...nothing annoys you more? Nothing in the world?
No, I see your point, but also I think it's polite, within reason, to answer using their pictures. Because they want people to see them. But that depends on the sitch. If the whole thread is just about their pics, then don't quote. If it's possible their pics will get lost in the shuffle/conversation, then do quote the pics. It just seems polite. :)
