I'm going to keep this up until it's gone. Then I don't know what I'll vote for. It's like choosing between children.

Well, since it IS a cover, albeit a FANTASTIC re-arrangement by Bob Weston, I guess it is the logical choice as the next one to say goodbye.
This is going to get really ugly...apprehension of the nastiness looms.

I think it sounds more dated than the rest.

Pretty usual '70s string arrangements on it, if you ask me.

I don't really wanna vote for this one, but strategically, I will.

Well, I'll follow the crowd this time & vote for For Your Love, even though I like it better than "Miles Away" & "Somebody".

"Keep On Going" : Pretty usual '70s string arrangements on it, if you ask me.
Well, let's see..the album was released in 1973...so yeah, it WOULD have your "usual '70's string arrangement". ;)

You're all a bunch of damned morons. Voting off "Somebody" & "Keep On Going"?!
What a bunch of stupid loons. What a bunch of rank, spur-galled dewberries ... a bunch of venomed, fly-bitten varmints ... a passel of clouded, dizzy-eyed barnacles ... wayward, folly-fallen pumpions ... tottering, clapper-clawed moldwarps!!!
Honest to Christ ... what is with you artless, witless, fat-kidneyed gudgeons?

Wait, wait--I do have a lame one I got from my brother's Shakespearean Insults Magnetic Poetry. You Lord of Mildew! (That was the best we could make with the stuff we were given). :distress:

[/COLOR]do you really like "Miles Away" that much? Hmmm. . . maybe I should go back & listen to it.
But Christine McVie singing "Keep On Going" -- that's the very essence ... the QUINTESSENCE, if you will ... of Fleetwood Mac!
"Quintessence" is a interesting word, by the way. First seen in writing sometime in the fifteenth century, it meant "substance latent in all things, the extraction of which was one of the objects of alchemy"; thus, by extension, it acquired the meaning, by the sixteenth century, "most essential part."
The Latin is, of course, "quinta" ("fifth") "essentia" ("essence") -- referring, in mediaeval alchemy, to the fifth primary body besides the base four elements: earth, fire, air, water. So the "quintessence" was the fifth essence: the chemical essence derived from earth, fire, air, & water.
To extend the trope connotatively in Fleetwood Mac's direction, the four base elements (John, Mick, Lindsey, Stevie) remain the base essences; but Christine McVie is the "fifth" essence, derived from the other four in such a way as to alchemically generate the splendor & magic of the separate parts -- for without the fifth essence, the other four remain base.

do you really like "Miles Away" that much? Hmmm. . . maybe I should go back & listen to it.Yes! I have a CD I made of my all time favorite Fleetwood Mac songs and that one is included.
But Christine McVie singing "Keep On Going" -- that's the very essence ... the QUINTESSENCE, if you will ... of Fleetwood Mac!Well, there was no way I was voting that one off so early.
"Quintessence" is a interesting word, by the way... You see that's where I stopped reading.

Damned straight! Best bass line McVie ever played...EVER!
Killer lead guitar work by Bob Weston, great lyrics, vocal delivery & acoustic guitar work by Bob Welch, great harmonies from Christine & Weston, and Mick was definitely on his game throughout this entire album. "Miles Away" one of the HIGHLIGHTS of the Mystery To Me album.

Killer lead guitar work by Bob Weston, great lyrics...Those are probably my two very favorite things about that song. One of them is why I was annoyed when people were so eager to vote him off of that damn FM members survivor game. Had those people heard Mystery to Me?
