There are many but when she holds her hands up like Edith Piaf during Gold Dust Woman (from Say You Will) and sings "And go ho-o-o-ahhhh-ah-ah-ahhhh-ah-ah-ahhhh-ah-ah-ahhhh-ah-ah" nearly made my head fly off my shoulders every time!

But there are countless moments for me! I also really like in the 1994 House of the Blues recording I have where she says during Outside the Rain "BABY DO YOU THINK THERE IS ANYONE ELSE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD THAT COULD EVER REPLACE ME!!!??? I DON'T THINK SO!" Holy shit! Is it getting warm in here?!!!

The first time I saw her live and heard my favorite verse out of any stevie song...
" I went searchin' for an answer
up the stairs and down the hall...* u guys know the rest *"

I think the people who were next to me just may be deaf as a result of my screaming

Daniel, is there anyway that you could email me that OTR performance by any chance? My email is SLNpoetinmyheart@gmail.com thanks :)

I gotta dig it up. It's burned to CD now and I don't think I have the digital version anymore on my computer. I'll look for it tomorrow. "Maybe I will go again tomorrow!" Good part of a concert to flip out during though for you! I freakin' love that woman!

There have been many since I first saw her tour in 1989, but what comes to mind is when I went to my first SYW show in Philly. It was the first time she really launched into fast Stand Back spins in all the shows I saw, & I grabbed the arm of the person next to me, I was so surprised.

I remember SYW tour 03 first MA show. The beats of the chain were going and stevie came to the tip of the stage and did this shimmy with her tambourine back to the drum kit (this move i didnt expect). You can ehar the crowd go wild for this on the bootleg as well as me.

I would say the first time I "flipped" was back in 1998 when I first saw her solo on the Enchanted tour in Camden. I was in awe, I suppose. I can remember it like it were yesterday.

The first time I flipped was probably the first time I saw FM back in 2004... I didn't have great seats but I was seeing Fleetwood Mac. I didn't talk or move the whole show. I sat with my mouth open the whole time. It was amazing.

The first time was when I saw her sing Rhiannon live in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl with FM in 1978.

The last was the first night in Vegas during Beauty and the Beast on the line "I've changed....." holding that note, with her hands in the air, shaking as if it took every ounce of energy and emotion in her body.

Hahaha - I've been guilty of that, too.

I always try during SN shows or FM to actually stop and make sure I savour the moments of hearing my favourite lines - on the SYW tour, it was "Too trusting, yes. But then, women usually are..." I never thought I'd hear that live.

Also, in Detroit last year, actually stopping and saying to myself, Stevie is standing no more than one FOOT away from me! I could reach out and touch her. (Or her me - and then, she did)

And finally, I also got shivers in June on the Two Voices tour, when Stevie came out during Hotel California, and the place went NUTS! :]

Mine has to be 1998 at Greatwoods for the Enchanted Tour. She was hot hot hot...however 7 years later at the same venue...same seats even...I had more chills at that show than any other show...from the moment she walked out for Hotel California...to the major spins during Stand Back...I was just blown away!!

I couldn't believe how many turns she did in Philly 6/3 - she was so "on" that night, and the high kick too. She was on fire at Nissan too. But, when I shook her hand at Nissan 15 days ago, I think that did it.

The Summit in Houston, TX, September 1983:

The lights go down, the bass drum kicks in (BOOM, BOOM, BOOM...), and Stevie twirls to center stage bathed in blue & purple light.

It was my first-ever concert (by anyone), and the song I was most excited to hear was "Gold Dust Woman". Plus, Hurricane Alicia had hit our area of Texas about a month earlier. I distinctly remember praying in the middle of the storm (about 4:00 in the morning, just after the power had finally gone out): "Dear God, please let me survive this -- I'm seeing Stevie in a month!!!"

Is this pic online anywhere? The only time I've ever seen it is in a Univ. of Texas yearbook from that year. A friend of mine had the book, and you have no idea the energy that was required to resist the temptation to cut the pic out when my friend wasn't looking...

It's in Mick's coffee table book...I'm sure it's online somewhere - it's the ones of her backstage, not onstage. She took the hat off right after The Chain. I was shocked because she was wearing white on that tour to shirk the whole witch image. And she came out wearing a darn witch's hat! :D

Well, crap. The pic in the yearbook was onstage at the mike, in their rundown of all the shows that came to the Erwin Center that year. It's a great pic, just kinda funny cuz it's the only pic representing the Mac, while other bands get multiple shots.

I'm pretty sure it's the '83 yearbook - I always look for it when I'm at Half Priced Books, just never seem to find it.

Aw, I flip out all the time.

Let's see...I flip out at odd moments.
GDW during Sheryl Crow's Central Park in Blue (or whatever that thing was called) was my very first live Stevie experience. I went with my mom and she kind of gave me a little shove when we heard the opening strains of the song--(among the thousands of people) so I could "get closer." Well, I went as close as I possibly could and there she was--just a few "rows" (there weren't rows set up--just masses of people) in front of me and when she sang "Rock on, Ancient Queen," I just stood there in total awe.

Then there was the opening night of the TISL tour in Pittsburgh. Two things stand out--when she sang the line "it cures the silence" from Everyday and there was this massive roar coming from the audience--it was incredible. And I HAD been sick to death of recorded versions of Edge of 17--but nothing in the world prepared me for the song live. Wow.

The most recent bowl me over experience was hearing Circle Dance at the Borgata--especially the second night. She just did such a heartfelt performance and it really drove home why I love her as a singer, as well as a songwriter. It just reached out and yanked at my poor heartstrings. Her voice was strong and pure and honest.

Oh--two quick Stevie as part of FM moments--Sara live in Jones Beach last year. She was kicking major butt that night after having canceled a few concerts due to ill health the week before and that was just totally incredible out there among the wind and the rain and all the stuff Mom Nature was hurling at us poor NYers.

AND--my very first front row experience (Bridgeport)--where I got to stand between Stevie and Lindsey as they sang Say Goodbye. That's my favorite newer FM song and I honestly didn't know where to look. I just kept looking at each of them as they paid no attention to us whatsoever--did their Vulcan Eye Lock--(I'm trying to be all sci-fi but I know nothing about Vulcans and hope I have the right weird-assed reference) and just sang their hearts out. And there was this nicely hollow-ish quality to the vocals. It was fabulous both for the singing and the sideshow;-) No one can do that eyelock better!

I LOVED most of her Sara's on the SYW tour - She sounded so good on opening night in Madison, I cried. She also NAILED it in Atlanta. Some of them were a little off, but most were just great to me. She had this longing in her voice that raised the hair on my neck - and when I saw her grab LB's mic. in Madison - SHEEEEBUS and then she got in his face and sang what appeared to be "were we just dreaming" or something like that - PHEW~!

As for other moments - Vegas B&B is waaaaay up there as well.

and - Sleeping Angel from just about any Enchanted tour performace.

I also was in AWE for just about all of the SA Atlanta tour.

Mine has to do with Sisters of the Moon too but it was in 1982 at the Philadelphia Spectrum. It was my first concert and it was cool as shit. Stevie was doing her spooky scary speaking in tongues and they had these 2 giant yellow spotlights on either side of the stage shining into the crowd. My seats sucked but I couldn't take my eyes off of Stevie. We were jumping up and down screaming our heads off. I remember my ears were ringing forever after the show. I'll never forget that moment.

That part seems to phony and orchestrated to me for me to enjoy it. Watching it makes me uncomfortable. Not to be a mood killer.

P.S. - The audience's part is the "orchestrated" part, not Stevie's thrusting. Or the lights.

It doesn't seem orchestrated to me, but it does make me a bit uncomfortable in a way - any mob frenzy does.

I would say the moment I first saw her on stage live with Fleetwood Mac on the Dance tour in Memphis, November 1997. It was just magical seeing her up there with them, and it was the first time I had really had great tickets for a show--Second row center at the Pyramid. I just couldn't even believe I was there through all of "The Chain" and "Dreams."

Second would be on this tour in Atlanta when I got to shake Stevie's hand and say "hello." How cheesy was "Hello!" I thought of all these things to say to her. I cried. I hardly every cry either. Stevie has made me cry several times in the last few years. Beautiful Child? That has been my favorite song for decades and when I heard it live...I lost it. Sara also choked me up. Nothing was as overwhelming as hearing BaTB for the first time, with the piano and the candelabra and the cloak... oh, and Lori! The "aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh" and "I've channnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggeeedd" tossed me over the top into blubberdom. My poor friend had to rub my back. Even the next night it drew tears although not as many due to "sing for me Stevie man" standing to my left.

I would of liked to have attened all of the moments mentioned, especially one of the SOTM moments, Tusk or Mirage tour.

For me, their are a couple. My first one is from the last SYW show. It was my first FM concert ever, and at the time Rhiannon was my favorite song. So when Lindsey started to play that opening riff, I went nuts! Also during Stand Back when Stevie twirled. I loved it!

Second would have to be the moment Stevie came out during Hotel California on the Two Voices tour (DTE, Detroit). The place went wild. And her voice was just a-maz-ing!!!

But if you really wanna know a time I went nuts, it was when Stevie took both of my hands during Edge of 17. I mean, I didn't freak when she was right in front of me, but after she moved along it was like "OMG MOM DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!?! I JUST TOUCHED STEVIE NICKS I JUST TOUCHED STEVIE NICKS"...Lady next to me: "Calm down would ya. It's just a concert."
Me: "you calm down, ya old hag!" (eh...that's what I should have said  ) lol.

I know! People like that really make me mad! Not to mention the other guy beside me who had front row the whole time, and didn't even put his hand up when Stevie came by. It's like, if you're not really a big fan, don't get some good seats like that! Let some people who would shed huge amounts of dollars to see Stevie, get them!
