Just a quick review before I go to bed... I'm happy to say that this was not the same Stevie I saw in Red Rocks the other night. Her vocals were top notch. She was in great spirits and seemed almost giddy at times.
Random notes:
-She talked about hearing Circle Dance off Bonnie Raitt's 1994 album and deciding, even before she knew she was going to tour this summer, that she would do it live.
-Gold Dust Woman ending: the "baby baby baby"s are back. Tonight she added "you can't save me now, you can't free me now, you can't do it, you can't do it..." etc etc.
-FFG lyric change: "the applause from it all was so disarming"
-She dedicated HAEWAFY to the men coming home from Iraq and reminded those of us who live near cities that have VA hospitals to please go visit them because they need us.
-She was very cute during the band intros, kept laughing and said she didn't know why. When she introduced Brett he covered his face with his guitar and she said "he gets scared everytime I do this now" and cracked herself up.
-Landslide was dedicated to Vanessa Carlton and her parents, who were in the audience tonight.
-Rock & Roll was on fire!! She was having SUCH a great time with this song.
-Best rendition of Edge I've heard in awhile. I think I broke my toe during it, though. We got pushed into the monitors during the stage walk and Stevie took my hand and said "Oh no, careful!" The one in front of us tipped over and then rocked back, landing on my & Lindsay's foot. Oww.
-Beauty & the Beast was great tonight. If Vegas was a 10, this was a solid 8.
Real strict on cameras tonight. As soon as I took mine out security told me to put it away or leave, so no pictures. We'll see how it goes in Anaheim. Lindsay - thanks for everything, see you in L.A.!

Sounds like you had a great time other then the falling monitor. Ouch, that must of really hurt. Is your foot OK?
I wonder why the strict camera policy? That is really odd.

I'm glad you had a good time Tiff! I'm really happy to hear Stevie sounded better than she did at Red Rocks since I'm seeing her this week. And I hope your toe is doing OK. I know you still have a bunch more shows to see this week.

Cool! Thanks for the quick review--I always love reading these :) Hope the toe is feeling better--I broke my toe eons ago but I remember it hurt like h*ll!! Couldn't hardly get a shoe on my foot :( It was miserable for a few days I remember!! Sorry about the camera thing too--the security nazis strike again!! Hey I think I remembered from some earlier posts that Raul is now gone?? Is that true?? He hates me!! LOL!! He gives me the evil eye every show I see him at :o I wish I could catch another show that he isn't at!! ha ha I know that's his job but it is just so uncomfortable to have someone glaring at ya from the side stage  Makes me feel like I'm the only person to ever try to get a photo--geesh!

I concur with Tiffany's comment on the photo-taking. However I did get some pictures, but they are on analog so I'm not sure if they turned out. One of them I took with a flash (oops!) and Stevie looked down in my direction after it went off. :sorry: So I took the rest without flash, so I'm not sure how those will work. We'll see I guess. I will shoot some tonight in Anaheim as well.

Great review, Tiff! You sounded so excited. :woohoo: I'm so glad she was on.
Your poor toe, though - hope it feels better soon. At least, you have something to remember the show by - and a great story: "hey I broke my toe once. How? Stevie Nicks' monitor fell on it.... " If you have to have a broken toe... not a bad way to get it. (I'm a silver lining kind of girl, can ya tell?) :)

Great review Tiff! Thanks! I usually go to the shows at Coors since San Diego is where I grew up but I am working on a project in Phoenix and couldn't get away. How was the crowd? It's a great venue but can appear empty if it's not very full. Glad you had a great time, sorry about your toe and the pics. Your pics from Chula Vista during the SYW tour are still some of my favorites.

Was this the show at the Shoreline Amplitheater (Mountainview?)? If so it just got a terrible review.

I don't understand why he would give you glares if cameras are allowed by Stevie. I don't get this whole no camera policy unless Raul is gone and her new security person might have forgotten to inform the venue security.
I don't have very kind words for Raul at all and I am glad that he is gone.

Hee hee!! I'm glad someone agrees with me  Seriously--at the SYW show last year he looked at me and shook his head no when I was trying to take pix...... then at the Don and Stevie show he just kind of stared at us..... and at Grand Rapids he actually came down into the crowd and told a little bunch of us to quit taking pix NOW!! So he doesn't really care for me me thinks!!

I'm alive! I didn't get home until after 2 from Chula Vista and I literally crashed the second my head hit the pillow. What a night! What an experience (thanks to Tiffany xoxo). This was by far the most special show for me because it was the first time I've seen Stevie with another die-hard fan and it makes all the difference in the world. The previous times I've seen her I either went alone or with one of my friends, all of whom are casual fans. I tend to be very enthusiastic at shows and it's great when someone appreciates where you are coming from.
Tiffany pretty much summed everything up - Stevie looked gorgeous, sounded amazing, and was in great spirits. We had second row seats and before the show I asked security if they would let people stand up at the stage during the show and he said yes but right before she came on he told me they were only letting first row up. Well obviously I wasn't going to let that stop me. Thanks again to Tiff we both stood center directly in front of the stage looking directly up at Stevie for the whole show! How lucky can you get? The only way we could have been closer would have been on the stage.
Coors is a great place to see a concert and I was thrilled it was nice and cool for Stevie. I did not want her being hot because I know sometimes that takes away from her performance.
Shockingly the highlight of the night for me was Circle Dance. I never heard this song before until I got a copy of her singing it at one of the Don shows a couple weeks ago. Well it blew me away - seriously one of the most intense and beautiful songs I've ever heard. I got emotional and that doesn't happen very often at shows. My eyes welted up. It was such a special moment. I think it was also the novelty of having Stevie sing something I've never heard her sing live before combined with the tenderness and emotion behind the song *chills*.
I did notice some new hand gestures tonight. I don't remember what song it was but she did this thing were it was like she was writing on a note pad (her journal perhaps?) and the note pad was the palm of her hand. It was so adorable. One thing I really missed that she didn't do what the outline of the shadow during GDW. I'm such a dork - I love doing all her hand gestures as she does them and every time I'd see her do something new I'd do the same thing ha ha! I also realized I really prefer to see Landslide and GDW with FM. Now the countdown is on until Tuesday. Tiff and I scored 4th row pit for LA!

I was at the show and would have to say it was one of Stevie's best. She was vocally strong, every note perfect along with the band and background singers being pitch perfect. I know there has been discussion on this board about her weight...I thought she looked great. I think when she first comes out, when she only has one layer of chiffon on, it really shows off how in shape she really is for her age . To me she seemed very toned, looks like she has been working out with weights.I just saw the Sara video on VH1, and I don't think her body looks that different now...anyway I digress.
Security was on camera patrol...the girl next to me had her camera taken away. I was at the stage for most of the show...security seemed lax in that aspect, but I knew one of the guys and he looked the other way when I went up front from the second row.
My nephew got to hold her hand for a second during 'the walk'...he was floored. I finally got a hand shake...OMIGAWD how many years...FINALLY! Even better, she grabbed her hair, then pointed at mine and said how nice my hair was then shook my hand with both of hers. Oh god I could die!!!
Sorceror was awesome, she added alot of sexuality to it. Circle Dance was a tear jerker. BATB...I couldn't believe how vocally strong she is. Whatever she is doing, she needs to keep it up. Maybe she is getting regular vitamin F as speculated...who knows, but to me she seems reborn, like she is the Stevie she has wanted to be for years but wasn't able to due to FM,LB, drugs etc. To me she is now the Stevie that I saw in the 70's. Amazing show!

No, it was at Coors Amphitheater in Chula Vista (south of San Diego). I saw the article you referenced on google news - It was a bad headline but if you scroll to the bottom of the article it says it was a review from 1986. Not a good way for them to publicize this tour

Pretty much everyone here summed it up, but a few fun notes:
She introduced Waddy and was sort of prattling on, it was clear at the end she didn't know how to finish it so she said he was a gang member. Then we laughed, she laughed and walked over waddy and did the hand gesture to indicate she was crazy.
VERY BIG SATB NEWS: She Very intentionally shook her "cans" during one of the earlier songs (I want to say SDMHA, but I am not sure). She was even looking down at them at her facial expression was priceless.
She messed up a couple words in Fall From Grace and each time she did she would of course insert a new word, then smile knowingly at Waddy.
On a side note, everyone seemed very into Vanessa at the start which is always nice to see and I DID GET TO SHAKE STEVIE'S HAND AGAIN, but much like Brian's tale, this time Stevie was looking right at me when she did it. It was awesome.
Also I did meet up with DavidMN and we went to an italian place shortly before the show and I saw andymaycen at the show who I am happy to see posted his own awesome story of his edge meeting! :wavey:
It was a great show. Looking forward to Tuesday night.

I also was at this show in Chula Vista/San Diego. My first time at this venue since I live in LA and I'm leaving to Europe tomorrow and just had to check out this Gold Dust Tour. So Diego it was!
My cousin and I went and had 3rd row, center. Lot's of great energy from the peeps in the audience. Nice full house. I looked behind a few times during the show and just saw a sea of people rocking. We stood the entire show and danced and swayed.
As for the show...Stevie ROCKED. It was simply incredible. We of course were right up front for Edge Of 17 and both my cuz and I got to shake her hand. Rock N Roll was amazing and she was full of energy. Stevie is just HOT. She had it going on last night.
A few comments. Circle Dance was beautiful but I sure would have preferred to hear 'Rooms On Fire' instead. She already did a cover of Zepp, so I would have liked to hear her do her own song instead of 'Circle Dance.'
Also for the most part, the shwag kinda sucked. The brown tie-dye with the Leather & Lace 7" cover pic was nice. My cousin and I ended up with 2 coffee mugs.
I wish I had time to see her one more time on this tour, especially in LA. Oh well...off to Europe and a much needed vacation.
Such an inspired show last night!!

I am so glad to hear Stevie had a great night! She has been amazing vocally this tour. (a few exceptions but the majority has been strong)
It bothers me so much when people imply that Lindsey holds Stevie back. That is a huge assumption. I know back in the seventies he probably did but to think he continues to hold her back and push her down and make her miserable is very sad. For all any of us know, the opposite could be true.
(asking her to dress casual with him on the SYW tour does not mean he is dragging her down, she chose the cardigan)The Stevie I saw on the TISL was uninspired, mellow and pretty blah overall. That is why it seems pretty unlikely to me that he was/is the cause of her ho hum shows. She has publically admitted that he inspires her.....sounds pretty positive to me!
Sorry for the thread jack Tiff! How was the show last night? That is a very cute backstage shot. I am surprised she wears that gorgeous BaTB cape for all the meet and greets. I guess she probably has more than one.
