I saw Stevie this week in Dallas and got to stand right against the stage and I also got a hand squeeze from her as I handed her some roses. She looks GREAT, even right up close. She doesn't look like she has had any "worK' done. Does anyone know for sure? Just curious.

I heard she just had some work done on her bathroom in Phoenix.

She doesn't look like she has had any "worK' done. Does anyone know for sure? Just curious. No one really knows for sure, but there's a lot of speculation that she's probably at least had some type of non-surgical procedure.
Stevie herself has said that she's never had plastic surgery on her face, and doubts that she ever would, because she's concerned it would change her appearance.

My personal opinion is that she's probably had some sort of "refresher"... like dermabrasion... but nothing major, as her face doesn't have the tell-tale "pulled" look of most facelifts.

ok... so what is it? l

Wasn't there a report somewhere of a guy who did Stevies hair at a salon that said there were no tell tale scars by the hairline. I remember that from somewhere but I don't know the time frame.

Personally, I don't think she has had anything surgical done. The dermabration...facials..ect oh heck yeah.

If she did get work done I would not care at all
If I had the cash I get me a new set of Boobies :]

Teeth caped/bleached, inside of the nose has been worked on....She had her implants taken out a while back, so she probably had something done to her tits.

If you look at Pre Dance interviews she had some major bags under the eyes. By the Dance taping they were gone. So she had something done to remove that,????. Im sorry but I dont think shes really lost that much weight in recent year or so. The extra pounds make her face like somewhat more full. However I think shes looks everybit of 57 face to face.

Imagine her with no make up on today lol!

I'm pretty sure that she probably has had something done to the inside of her nose also. Because of the cocaine she has done in the past. Yasmine Bleeth did so much cocaine that her nose collapsed and it did change her appearance. I swear Stevie has had to have done way more than Ms. Bleeth so she had to have had something done.

yeah, and she also said just yesterday that "Beauty And The Beast" was written in 1984 and that she used to close her shows with that song before she wrote "Has Anyone Ever Written"

Stevie has had 2 facelifts, one in 1986 and one in 1996
she had breast implants in the late 70's, and had them removed in the mid 90's..
she had her nose tweaked a bit in 1986

anything else, like peels, collagen, and botox are minor and she absolutely does have them done to this day.. no woman who lived as hard as she did looks so young at 57 unless they maintain themselves with some cosmetic surgery...

I thought she looked just great up close in Houston. I was surprised by how different she looked from last year. I'm not saying she had work done, just that IMO she doesn't need it.

That is a bit harsh. The girl does have feelings like the rest of us.

I saw her without makeup at the Today Show soundcheck and thought she looked quite stunning. So did my husband.
She has really beautiful skin and her eyes actually looked BETTER without all that heavy stage makeup.

Personally, I do not think she has had any facelifts....up close it seems really obvious to me that she hasn't. Remember in like 99 or so, there was a hairdresser from San Francisco who came on one of the boards and said he did her hair when she was in Northern California during the Enchanted tour. He said the first thing he looked for was scars in her hairline....he said she has none and he would bet his life she hadn't had surgery at that point. I thought he was for real cause he backed up the story with some talk about Stevie being in town for the Wallflowers gig and posted a photo of himself with her.

Whatever she has chosen to do is fine...she is a beautiful woman either way.

Oh and I agree with the nookie. Someone's making her feel quite good about herself. :> )'

I must say, I would have to agree that living the life she has lived, I suspect that she has had a bit more than the dermabrasions etc. Whoever does her "work" does a great job. Sign me UP!

I don't think she's had any either. Her face looks naturally aged with none of the freakish tightly pulled skin that I've noticed some middle-aged stars have. I think it's pretty obvious when someone's had work done. It usually looks hideously fake, like a toupee. Ugh. I hope she doesn't let anyone touch her face with a knife.

I remember hearing rumours that she had liposuction around TOSOTM era.

I don't think it's too far-fetched to presume she's had work done, however minor. I'm sorry, people just don't look that good at nearly 60 years of age, no matter how much we love her, or how magical we think she is. Stevie's own mother didn't look that good, why should she?

Plus she's had plastic surgery before (her implants in the 70s), so she's not adverse to going under the knife. She may not have had any thing as drastic as a face lift, but she's definitely had a little help. I'm sorry if some people think that's blasphemy, but really the difference in her looks from the late 80s to the Dance years was not ageing naturally IMO.

Well, ok, maybe a few people would think so... but I think most rational people wouldn't feel that way.
The only issue I have, and many people have, is the AMOUNT of work people claim she HAS to have done.

For as much as some folks will have you believe she's had done, she should look like Joan Rivers.

Stevie herself has been completely open about the implants, but has said that she's not keen to have anyone cutting her face open. She may get her years mixed up once in a while, as Brian (liquidblue5000) pointed out, but we're talking about two completely different things here. I may not be able to tell you if I drew something in '93 or '94, but I sure as hell could tell you whether or not I'd ever let someone take a scalpel to my face.

I'm not discounting some type of "facelift," but I'd bet money it would have to be a non-surgical lift. And probably other types of non-invasive "refreshers," like Chris (gldstwmn) has mentioned.

After all, folks, we're talking about the same woman who left her under-the-chin area untouched for years -- why on Earth would you go through the time and expense to have facelifts and not have work done on a "problem area," too?

Well, I agree she hasn't had anything drastic done. I just think she's had a little help here and there. I wouldn't go as far to say she's had a face lift but she's definitely had something done.

funny you should mention that... Camden, September 12th, 2004... Brian (me) stands in the front row at the Tweeter Center looking up at Stevie and notices her neck being a bit saggy and wrinkled.... 8 months later, Las Vegas, May 10th, 2005... Brian (me) notices that the wrinkles on her neck have now disappeared and what was sagging 8 months earlier, is now tighter and more firm... hmmmm

There are exorcises and creams that could fix the saggy neck. A little nip and tuck is so much easier though.

Bwahahahaha!

Seriously, I can't believe this discussion is happening AGAIN.

I think Stevie is beautiful. I don't care if she has or she hasn't had work done. Some women are born with good genes; my grandmother died at 94 with seriously, only a couple of laugh lines. My mum's in her 60s and has no wrinkles. Stevie has always had exquisitely beautiful skin. One thing she doesn't have is the tell-tale lifted-eyes look that makes many women just look so plastic and fake. Make up and lighting can do wonders - remember, most of us only see her well lit and well made up (even up close). I saw Jane Fonda recently when she was on her book tour with no make up and in harsh light. Gak. Then I saw her, on the same tour, doing 60 Minutes. She looked 20 years younger. Smoke and mirrors, baby.

All you have to do is just look at Stevie's mother... I saw her in Vegas, and she looked great - no sagging... hardly a wrinkle.. She didn't look upwards to 80 at all. No way could you cut off any slack from that woman if you grabbed HER by the scruff of the neck and shook her up and down abit  .

Im not trying to be rude or start a fight here. I came face to face with Stevie's sweet mother in Phoenix at the AHI 01. She looks every bit of her age, just as old as anyone else her age.

Its so silly how people think celebs dont age like other people.

And what about Christopher Nicks who has looked old and haggard since his early 30s? That kind of blows the good genes theory.

I completely agree. Everyone keeps saying she would not look so good naturally.......well, up close she looks every bit her age. With no makeup on, she has every normal age line someone who is 57 should have. I am confused by people saying she looks so great up close without makeup. Yes, she has beautiful skin and is still a stunning woman but it really does not look like she has had her eyes lifted at all. Plus, I would think she would have fixed her neck much sooner if she was that concerned about it. It is her problem area and she seems self conscious of it. I agree..she took care of that little problem over the last year and looks fantastic. Getting rid of that extra skin under her chin made her look years younger in Vegas.
I do think it is possible that she had something done back in the eighties, like lipo...I am just not buying the surgical lift to her eyes and mouth.

Whatever she wants to do is fine....she is a gorgeous girl.
I just don't want her to change the shape of her eyes...they are her most stunning feature and the passion you can see in them...holy moly. I would rather have the normal aging lines then Stevie change her face.

I agree. I think that what is making her look so good these days is that she is actually smiling. It lights up her eyes and entire face and makes all the difference. When she is not feeling well, frowning, or sometimes even just looking serious, she looks as old as she ever has.

When I saw her up close in Nissan, she has a few little tiny wrinkles, crows feet, other than that - no wrinkles. The La Mer skin products that she uses are just awesome, and if she started using them when she started to make the money, no wonder she looks like she does. If she had surgery, no big deal - she is completely beautious in my book.
