Edit: They just said 4 pm which is an hour and a half away.

Why do I have a sneaking suspicion they're going to plug the Vegas show? Not that i'm saying she won't discuss the upcoming California leg, but I think she needs to get the word out that she's going back.

Excellent! Thanks so much for posting. I really hope we get some audio and or video out of the AU shows. Isn't it cool that she's expanding her horizons in this way... so artsy. I LOVE IT!!!

The KLOS interviews always rock, I think because Stevie Loves LA. I used to hang out in Laguna where she's staying. It IS a very beautiful town. This confirms my suspicions that she doesn't always stay in the town where she's performing. Laguna is 1,000 times nicer/swankier than Anaheim. It's great she's having so much fun with Rock and Roll and is keeping it in her sets. Maybe some day I'll be able to see her sing it live.

Sigh... I love Stevie interviews.

I haven't downloaded this yet but a few months ago I heard she was going to Oz to record some songs with the symphony orchestra in August. Then it was sort of up in the air...I guess it is happening at the beginning of next year? I do not think she is touring Oz..the way I was told, was she was invited by the Orchestra to play with them. It was not a tour of Australia or anything like that but rather a special invite. The tour is over after Vegas? Big surprise there. Someone got their way. :> )

I think Long Way To Go would be awesome with a strong brass orchestra...and Cry Wolf...Doing the Best I Can...2 Kinds of Love...Ooh My Love...Rooms On Fire...Ghosts...Juliet...Whole Lotta Trouble...Fire Burning and I Still Miss Someone

Whaaaat?

Eh? That woman is as confused as the fans are.

Imagine her book -- if it ever gets published. It'll be chock-a-block full of some amazing stuff, although most of it will be imaginary!

Hopefully, she'll use the journals so she gets her dates straight. I'm sure not everythihg is written down though.

Tynan, i'm sure it will be a great show regardless.. but i wouldn't hold my breath for any TOSOTM songs...

She's snubbed that entire album enough times in the past 16 years for me to know that most likely she will never again perform any of those songs for the rest of her career... and no, not even "Rooms On Fire" ;)

Yer I know it would be a long shot...but if she could pull it off vocally don't you think Whole Lotta Trouble would be amazing?

It was great on the Whole Lotta Trouble Show I saw in Philly, though most folks used it as a bathroom break.

absolutely.. so would "Rooms On Fire"... again, that would have been the peeeerfect opener for her Las Vegas shows this year... but instead, she went the more sensible route with "Enchanted"

Yer thats Stevie though. All I can say is I'll take whatever I can get and be thankful for it, and I will start saving now, because I intend on being front row at every performance.

To be honest though I don't know why I am so surprised, I have a friend who is a boxing promoter, so he is in the entertainment industry a bit and he actually told me a month or two ago she would be coming out next year, and I actually posted it on this board!

If she tours AUS then shes going to have to do something from OSOTM. That album went to #1 there. I think Bella Donna came in at like number 23.I hope Dame Edna appears with her.
Of course if she cant remember what song shes been closing with for the past 20 years then she probably won't remember that either.HAHA!! Good point. Stevie has no idea any more which if any of her albums was a success in this country or that country.

Considering she had to ask someone where she was in California, I do believe you're right on the money with that one

She also brought out Whole Lotta Trouble on the Enchanted '98 tour...so it hasn't been THAT long since an OSOTM track made it out on the road. I remember her having a lot of fun with it and shaking her finger at band members during the chorus :)

And many thanks to those reporting on the interview

she may record the Australia show with the symphony for an upcoming DVD/CD release? Guess we'll see sooner or later.

Yes, but it has to sit in the storage vaults for 20 years first.

I'm not sure how many downloads it's good for. If anyone would like to upload it elsewhere when it expires, feel free.

You're most brilliant, as usual, Tiff.

I reposted the interview, in case anyone is late accessing Tiff's file.

actually, the last time Stevie performed a TOSOTM song was in 2000 during the "Pondering the Millenium Tour".... she did "Rooms On Fire" up until new years eve, and "Whole Lotta Trouble" until January 9th....

Well, ROF was a hit for her, while Enchanted is just some random album track. To me thats taking a risk. Its taking the same risk over and over but I say Enchanted is more of a risk then Rooms on Fire.

i was being sarcastic.... "Enchanted" did not exactly fit into the scheme of a "Vegas show", imo... "Rooms On Fire" would have been perfect..
