According to nicksfix (http://www.nicksfix.com) :

Lori Nicks
Watch for Lori Nicks to be singing with Stevie and the band on some of the later shows of the Gold Dust tour, especially Phoenix and Las Vegas.

That's very good news...It could also mean some changes in the set I think.

The Vegas Set?
Night bird?

good news either way :blob1:

I think it would almost certainly be IAF...may HSML, But I highly doubt Nightbird, of course it could be no change at all...but they do do IAF and HSML for sound check apparently.
That notice just seems to confirm what people have been thinking for a while now.

you realize, if lori comes onstage in vegas and for whatever reason they sing Nightbird... there'll be one less ledgie. http://users.pandora.be/eforum/emoticons4u/sad/021.gif

those things will try to kill me, but ultimately it will be a jagged remnant of The Dance dragged across my throat that will kill me.

Yeah, why esle would they be rehearsing those 2 songs. The question is what will they replace. HSML will proably finally kill the cat and replace Landslide and IAF will I dont know replace Circle Dance (love it now, but its the least popular for sure) OR maybe she'll add without subracting

not to poop on your taco, but being at the vegas shows i can tell you IMO that it's nothing to get depressed over. it was cool just because it was the three of them, IMO it's nothing that can't be created minus lori. unless we're talking Nightbird...

If they didn't do Nightbird the first time in Vegas, why this time?

Well, besides it being very cool to see the three of them together, at least with Lori you know she'll be in tune. Unlike certain other backup singers. *cough*Jana*cough*

Hell yea. I haven't gotten to the place where I would say that Jana "sucks" but she eeks closer everyday. She screwed up the beloved Rhiannon at Red Rocks. It's the screeching I tell ya. Fall From Grace and Landslide may never recover.

Oh and Nightbird? That is so not happening. They have been rehearsing HSML and IaF...that will be it. I hope she keeps Circle Dance but with that time requirement at Caesars..it may go. Oh but she dropped INTK too. I wonder what she will do with the R and R song...probably dump it too.

(Mariss..I was thinking about the 'set list revision' from the other thread..on 6/28/05...that was around the time INTK was taken out...I am sure that was the last revision)

I didn't say anything earlier, but there was definitely a bad and loud note in Houston, I think during FFG. But she looked great. :)
I do think I heard them do IAF in the Houston soundcheck, and I thought it sounded more polished than the Vegas bootlegs.

because i have to believe that once in my lifetime i will see it done live.

i never thought i'd get Sara, and then there i was, standing and crying and holding onto matt at the borgata show seeing Sara. it's all just part of the non-reality i wish i lived in.

true, lori carries herself fabulously. but half the time she also manages to sing louder than stevie. i didn't notice this in vegas, but listening to boots and on some of the dvds that girl is shrieking.

and as for the bundle of love herself, the only love i've got for jana is there because she actually answers the questions she gets from nicksfix and that goes a long way for me.

Rock and Roll will stay. It will be the first encore, no doubt. HAEWAFY will go for HSML. IAF will just be added. :)

If she would start on time, the limit on time wouldn't be a problem. hehe

Hearing Vanessa at Ceasar's would be fabulous, too.

BTW...more Lori and Jana questions/answers are up on the nicksfix.

Yes, according to The Physics of Stevie Nicks, the atomic displacement cause by Lori singing backup is not significant enough to create the kind of explosive chain reaction that could propel the setlist expotentially outward to include the Nightbird Nebula.

I've always loved it, though I don't miss it being an encore.
