Ok, so I know it is getting really confusing to keep up with all the threads on this. So, I've finally got the website up and running with lists and info. So, those of you interested can just start using the website for all your GDP needs. If you have questions or comments, PM me here or at jason@golddustproject.com

Also, I was going to add that once this project is done, I hate for the site to go to waste (especially since I spent a good bit of change on it) and I know a lot of you guys out there run out of bandwidth (not that I know exactly what that is) but if someone could tell me how to post mp3s I'll be glad to start posting some as well. I'm using Bravenet.

I only know how to host MP3s on Homestead, my server, I don't know how to do it on Bravenet. If you can upload files to the Bravenet server (like the MP3 files) I can give you the HTML code to put on your website so people can click on and hear it...I would need to know the path of the file..

Guys, I'm just heartbroken. I've been working really hard on a cover of Castaway, which is something I've always wanted to do. And I'm almost done. The music came out so nice, and I'm so proud of it. But I tried, after a very long and tiring weekend to lay down the vocals, and they all suck. So, rather than submit a substandard piece of work, I'm going to hold off and try and finish the piece tomorrow. I don't want to hold back the project, so I'll just try and figure a way to post my recording here on the Ledge when it's done. I'm looking forward to hearing everyone else's.

I would like to get a copy CD of this, when it is mastered and finished, how would I go about that, if you are able to make copies?

don't sweat it. I've only gotten 2 other submissions besides mine so it looks like interest is not high anyway. Let's move the deadline to September 1. Does that give you enough time?

OMG!!! I looooove you. Yay! Okay, cool. I can finally do this song justice.

You all have no idea. Castaway is one of my favorite demos and ever since I heard it years ago I've always wanted to do a cover of it. I taught myself the keyboard part years ago but have never been able to figure out the right drum pattern and other instruments to get it to sound how I wanted to it to sound. And I finally had a breakthrough last week and it all fell into place. I've been playing the instrumental in my car over and over and over again. And I just really want to do the vocals justice. Recording my own vocals has always been hard for me because I'm so busy setting it up and trying to keep the levels right that it's hard to lose myself in the vocal. Anyway, enough babbling. You just made me very happy. I can practice it a bunch more times now and get it really good. Awesome. :blob2: :blob1: :blob2: :blob1: :blob2: :blob1:
