Myth #1: I hated the show.

Fact #1: I didn't hate the show at all! In fact, it was a fairly good performance. It wasn't the best performance, though. Here are some of the lowlights of the evening:

+Enchanted: That damn pillow someone threw on the stage! It almost took her out at the chin.

+SDMHA: I think it was lowered again.

+OTR: She fumbled the lyrics to the second verse. I couldn't understand what she was trying to say, and I don't think she did, either. The "noonecaneverreplaceme" was very weak. It wasn't even fast. She just said it and moved on.

+Rhiannon: weak ending. The chorus "Rhiannon"'s were off vocally, too....and not by Stevie. hehe. SCREECHHHH.

+Sorcerer: Off vocally.

+Stand Back: Her shaw got caught up in her beads on the mic stand. She almost couldn't twirl they were that stuck. When she finally got it lose, a strand went with it, and it was kinda funny to watch the beads in mid air. She didn't sing the high "Takkkkkkkkke" at the end. She went "Tay Tay Tay Tay Take me home" Didn't sound too hot.

+FFG: Lowered the high note, a lot. Croaked it.

+She dedicated HAEWAFY and Landslide to the ppl of Colorado. Get original.

Myth #2: The show sucked.

Fact #2: The show had some really awesome moments!~!~!~! Highlights:

+The Red Rocks, itself. There's no better venue. I've come to that conclusion. Gorgeous. The DVD does not do it justice.

+Hanging with Ledgies. Always a good time. Always trouble. Always get run down. Always making memories. :)

+Edge of 17: WOW! Best version in a long while. She killed it. AND...since we were level with the stage, she was giving out kisses and hugs and such. I didn't get a kiss, but I got a caress of my face and hand grasps, of course. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

+Rock and Roll: <33 Nailed it hardcore.

+Beauty and the Beast: Not too shabby at all. One of the better vocals of the night.

Myth #3: Stevie knows what she is talking about.

Fact #3: She confuses the hell outta me.

During the beginning welcomes, she said that taping Red Rocks WAS THE Highlight of her career....something to that affect...she exclamated it. Then, when introducing Carlos, she goes on about how he was always there for her, especially in Colorado when she wasn't up to par...and she mentions something about us seeing how bad she was and didn't like the state she was in...making reference to the DVD. So, it was a highlight of her career, but she didn't like it? I was confused. I have to listen to the boot, if there is one, to see what really was said.

Myth #4: yada yada Special Guest

Fact #4: There were special guest, just not on the stage.

I'm sure from previous threads, you knew who was there. Everyone was talking about this guest. Who is it? When will they come out? etc etc. It was on radio being all hyped up. So, everyone was hyped up about it. It didn't happen. No big deal. They just need to quit calling Vanessa a special guest. She's the opening act. :o

Myth #5: Taping

Fact #5: I wrote it in the Videotaping thread. :)

......eh, I'm really tired right now. If you have questions, post 'em and I will answer.

another cool thing.

While waiting in line, Sharon just walks on by, down the hill. No one noticed her!

Tiff, Anita, and I stopped her. We said hello. She said "Where is my nephew?" and walked on. :p

That was a great read Curtis! Besides the one mention of the Red Rocks DVD in her welcomes...did she mention anything else about it during the show?

I'm glad you like it. I was going to ask you what you thought. Did you get to see the dinosaur tracks on the other side of the hogback?

So when she said we've all seen how bad she was, maybe she also wasn't necessarily referring to the Red Rocks DVD, but just in general.

Thank you for the great review Curtis! About the filming... maybe she's preparing a tour documentary to give as an extra for the concert she's gonna release in DVD... At least I hope so. :D

Besides, congratulations for your second cameo. :)

Are you implying that last night's review to me via text messaging was not clear? How dare you, sir. :]

My wild heart might have dared.
But honestly, I didn't read it. You're talking about the monster-size thread, right? Ma'am? ;)

I guess so. She just said something like "and you all have seen me during my worst"......but no one saw Street Angel.

Thats so funny b/c Sharon came out before the Sunrise show too. It was about 7:15 or so and she walked three people to seats in the fourth row. She talked to them a bit, kissed them goodbye and was gone. I kept looking around to see if anyone else noticed her--only one other person that I could see did!

Yes. HAEWAFY was written after The Wild Heart Tour McNichols show, which I just happened to be at. If I remember correctly, she wore the purple opera cape ( or maybe I should call it a cloak) that she wears on the album cover for one of the songs. I think it might have been BATB.

all the same

Thanks Curtis! :xoxo: Your myths and facts were very informative. I would have REALLY liked to have been there for Edge of Seventeen. To get a smooch from that woman would have killed me! ;)

I was at the sunrise show too as well as Red Rocks. I saw Sharon on the floor. My Best Friend and I were the lucky two that were brought right up to the center stage. I have a friend that works security there. It was awsome!

Maybe she meant it was a major point in her career/life...? I am sure when she watched it (before the editing even!) it killed her to see it. Maybe even was part of what got herself to go into Betty Ford...? I am sure it really made her get a look at the reality and how bad she had gotten. Maybe she meant it in that kind of way? It certainly was highlighted - whether for the good or bad...it certainly was highlighted....stood out among her career and her life...

I dunno.
