The wonderful Madison Blues 2cd/1DVD set is scheduled for a US domestic release on August 23rd. (CD Universe has it for pre-sale at $17.49...about 1/2 of the UK import price)
Related: Eric Clapton's new album Back Home is scheduled for an August 30th release...CD Universe also has that for pre-sale ordering, as well.

I'm pretty surprised that Madison Blues is being released here in the U.S. I bought it nearly 2 years ago on Amazon U.K. I'd highly recommend it.
I'm also planning on getting the Clapton album, as well as another release in the Bob Dylan bootleg series. They're both due to be released on August 30th.

Oh, does this include any recordings from the Australian tour from 2003 (Billy Burnette was on that so I needed to ask)? :)

Oh well, it was worth the import price.
By the way... any news on the remastered reissue of Christine's first solo album? I'm really chomping at the bit for that one.

As far as I know, no. These recordings are very rare 60's stuff. I think the most recent recordings from this set are from his U.K. tour in 1966. :)

I'm afraid I don't have good news about the Christine Perfect album. A few months ago, someone posted that the record label had shelved the rest of Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon re-issue project due to what they expected would be low sales. It is possible that they could change their mind, but it doesn't look good. :( Of course, Christine would probably be happy about this if she knew about it. :D

Oh OK, didn't think so but just thought I'd check, thanks. :)

Some record company should at least nab the rights to release the 'Christine Perfect' remaster. That one definitely has sales potential.

This makes me so sorry to hear! The Blue Horizon box set that was released 7-8 years ago sold out quickly and as far as I know the Fleetwwod Mac box "Blue Horizon sessions" sold out as well. So obviously there are a lot of people out there who are interested in this music. There shouldn´t be any "risks" for Sony to go ahead with release plans. They have all this wonderful music in their vaults but won´t let people enjoy it. It stinks.

I agree. Look at the ridiculous prices on eBay for the Christine Perfect CDs. The going rate is about $100! Obviously, there's a demand for this album. I can see that maybe some of the more obscure Blue Horizon releases wouldn't attract as much interest. But, Christine's album is a bit different. I have the CD, but I would have liked it remastered & I wanted those bonus tracks. Disappointing. :(
