On the Q&A page, on nicksfix, there is a reference to Sharon doing the guide vocals for Leather and Lace. I'd love to hear it, but haven't seen a trace of it on the bootleg sites I've been to. Anybody have a copy I can hear?

Here you go. This is one of my favorite things to have come from the master reels.

No problem :). It wasn't up on one of the pages or anything... I think I just had it in my file manager because someone here had requested it awhile back.

Thanks, Tiff. That's pretty cool. I can see why Stevie wanted her to sing with her, she has a voice quality that goes very well with Stevie's - pure, but not to shrill, and very fluid in the same way. I had never heard her sing by herself before. :wavey:

You're welcome. I agree... they blend really well. The harmonies on the WH album are my fave (evah! :D). L&L isn't a polished take or anything, but she has a really pretty voice. Always wondered what the band she was in before she met Stevie sounded like, or what kind of music she'd make as a solo artist.

yeah....her voice is certainly gorgeous. Maybe she doesn't write songs, though. I read when Stevie went to see her, the band was doing covers. I forget which one song they mentioned, though. But to me, her voice has just enough of an unusual cadence and tone to not make it...boring... :woohoo: I bet she sounds pretty on some Emmylou songs...

Oh, maybe. I don't think I've ever read anything other than what's on her bio page over at the NF. Except I did read somewhere that she "co-wrote" Blue Water with Stevie, that might have been where I got the idea she writes songs too. I think I Ask Sharon'D it awhile ago. But she's lagging! ;)

The song was "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" by Warren Zevon and made famous by Linda Rondstadt.

Yep today is the day. I now have 365 days left before I turn (gasp choke cry) 40. I am indeed a "Sistah of the Moon" and a proud little Crab. Someone gave me a gift today of a beautiful silver and gold crescent moon necklace. They had no idea how symbolic of a gift it was in oh so many ways.
Happy Birthday to all the crabs here! :woohoo:
