I just heard a commercial that Stevie will be playing at Caeser's on Saturday, Aug. 6th. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I thought she would come back here around October.

I just checked Caesars website and Stevie is not yet listed, BUT there is nothing on the schedule for that day, so it's open. Celine is even off. I wonder if Stevie is just doing that one show, or more than that?

Vegas was great, but since the Gold Dust tour is pretty much the same thing, there is no need to fly out West for this again. Unless she seriously plans to spice up the setlist!

I wonder how many more dates they will be adding??

I am thinking about this one for the simple reason that I have an airline credit. It is also a holiday here in RI that Monday so I could leave on Sat or take the rest of the half day that I have coming to me and leave on the Friday. I won't have to leave Vegas until the Monday.
I will have to see how the prices for hotels are that weekend. If it is cheap enough I might go if only to get rid of my credit.

I was hoping for October because I thought the Vegas heat was unbearable... and I'm from Florida! I should be used to the heat but I was just completely unprepared for how hot and dry it was there.

Did you go this past May? It was cold! I would take the hot, dry weather over this horrible sticky stuff we have been having here in RI lately! It has been awful!

I went to the Friday and Saturday shows and it was a million degrees outside that weekend! Just walking from hotel to hotel made me so thirsty!

It did warm up on those days but earlier in the week it was colder then I thought it would be for the time of year. The walking was the worst. I agree! I would take a bottle of water out with me and then at just about every hotel I had to make a pit stop.

If you thought it was hot in May, just wait until August. It should be a healthy 110-115 then.

I don't plan to go, but if I did I did I would make sure to stay at Caesar's Palace and not the leave the building all weekend! Considering all the restaurants, shops, etc. you really could spend your whole vacation in that one hotel.

That is what Livia and I did for the Friday and Saturday Stevie shows...we only left Caesar's twice and that was for (1) bloody mary's and breakfast at the Peppermill (a Livia tradition) and (2) to check out the new WYNN resort, which was gorgeous! Other than that, we lived in the metropolis of Caesars.
And we had a BLAST!! :]

Caesar's was amazing! I want to stay there next time. They had some great shopping (did the stores ever close? I was shopping at Gucci at 2 in the morning!!! Correction- window shopping, my bank account was a little drained from the concerts)

The bathrooms in the rooms are gorgeous!

We did our shopping during the day, so I don't know about how late they stay open. I think Bruce made the Kiehl's employee's day in commissions - he dropped a small fortune there! LOL

And I highly recommend the buffet at The Wynn!

I will go ONLY if my friend who lives out there can get me comped tickets. She got front row center last time that way, with just a frickin' phone call! Had she known to ask for backstage passes, I'm sure she would have gotten those too. There were taking HUGE groups of "casino people" back after the saturday show. (which burned my ass) Man I hope she can come through for me....

 You guys!

These comps would come through my friend's boyfriend's best friend who is a HUGE gambler at Caesars. So, I'm going to float the idea out to her. AFter all, it was only a simple phone call for the dude. She had such a great time at the last show. She was the only one in the front row that was up and dancing! She didn't know where her seats would be until she picked them up at will call the night of the show. I remember we were at dinner when she opened the envelope and revealed the front row center tickets. I was thinking, Son-of-a-Bitch!

Was she the one who was front row center dancing near the stage with her boyfriend or something? I remembered looking at all the stuffy people with comped seats (in the center section of the orch.) who refused to stand through the show and then I saw her and I was like "at least someone is having fun!"

I need to get a good contact though that can score me front row seats!

If it was Saturday night, that was her!! She's got blonde hair. LOL! Her boyfriend (I hate to say) is a real winner. He's like 20 years older than her, and wears an italian horn pendant (and he ain't even italian). He's like a mafioso wanna-be. I REALLY don't understand WHY she is with him, she really is a smart girl, but anyway..

Yup that's them from Saturday night! You couldn't not notice them because they were the only people in the center orchestra section actually having fun! LOL

I am glad that my seats were off to the side because everyone in my section stood up the whole show. The center section was boring.... The side section was full of die hards and Ledgies!

And to everyone else I saw it posted at Nicks fix too...

But having a background in marketing... Makes me skepthical and somewhat jaded.
Just makes me wonder about the, "Back by popular demand, or overwhelming demand or whatever catchword phrase they used" , is just Selling the show- not that it's a bad thing, but I don't think that the venue got letters requesting her return, if you know what I mean-?

But hey, advertising is advertising...whatever sells tickets, right?

Well the fact that she pretty much sold out all the shows that week would mean that she is back by popular demand, right? I know that she sold out Friday and Saturday night (there wasn't an empty seat in the house!) Don't know about Tues/Wed though...
