I was thinking about this, and for me, it's the demo of That's Allright from the B/N days. Personally, I've never heard her voice sound more pure and clear than on that recording. what do others think? :D

Stand Back...Solid Gold (ooppss, did you say on an album?)
Gold Dust Woman and Landslide...The Dance
Beautiful Child...Live in Boston
This is not on an album either but Beauty and the Beast from Tuesday's Vegas show was absolutely the most gorgeous thing I have ever heard come out of Stevie's mouth. God is was incredible.

Although I do agree with you on That's alright-sounds just a little too country for me. :p
I prefer Beautiful Child- Original with Lindsey singing background.
Gives me chills :o :o :o It is beautifully sung and emotions are clearly felt.
IMO anyway (but that's today at 10:00am-who knows what I will think tomorrow, wink, wink!)

Purely for vocal quality, and not whether it's my favourite song or not - I'd have to agree with the demo of That's Alright (Designs of Love).

Hands down, IMO, Sleeping Angel. I always get chills when I hear that song. Her voice is just SO gorgeous, and pure. It never sounds strained, all notes are within range, just all around vocally perfect.

You know what else comes to mind? Certainly FAR from a favourite song of mine, but I love her vocal on Rosanna - the duet with Tom Snow.

I AGREE about the That's Alright Demo- Stevie sounds so GOOD.
Straight Back is brilliantly sung- one of my favorite songs. And its so FORGOTTEN!
Edge Of Seventeen is a fantastic vocal.
Sleeping Angel- SO GOOD.
Beauty and The Beast
Insider- Have you ever heard such beautiful harmonies. When Stevie sounds THAT good, she doesn't even sound human!
I also really like Think About It.

I'm going to say the same thing as I always do, which is that Insider, live, is my favorite Stevie vocal. It's Stevie's voice, doing extra strange gymnastics. It makes me weep. :)

Concerning "Insider", if you want to pinpoint the best part of her vocal on that one song, I love the part three minutes in where she sings "And you'll become his legacy". It sounds so vulnerable and tender.

Allso, there are some songs such as Rock A Little, Garbo, Nightbird, and Lady From The Mountain that have vocals that are just so Stevie they're great, IMO.
And I love the way Stevie sings the word passion in Gate And Garden.

the Rumours re-issue version of POTU is probably my favorite vocal of that song... she just sounds so sad during it, you can feel it... the note that she carries toward the end does it for me everytime...

Quite simple for me:
Whenever I Call You Friend - a perfect vocal. Very disciplined & commited.
Julia - Her voice oozes out of that song.
Circle Dance (obviously live) - Can't get enough of it. Sometimes she seems to sing other people's songs with more conviction.
