It's a terrific venue, very intimate. Check out that link and the tour. I had 5th row for Keith Urban last year.

Thank God for Nokia....that means, no Smirnoff Centre.

Where are your seats? We are in the lower balcony...Section 207.

I found Row 7 on Ticketmaster.com today. They are no longer popping up (it was Section 102, Row G). There are better seats on TM right now. If you want to upgrade. Section 103, Row P (15th row) is coming up as well. Also, lower balcony (Section 203), row DD (4th row).

Smirnoff is an outdoor venue and in Texas in July...it's too dayum hot. Smirnoff has horrible sound and Nokia is just nicer and more comfortable.

Yeah, I've been in Texas in the summer. I'll be at the Houston show too, and I know its hotter there and that venue is outdoors. I'll probably sweat 10 pounds off at that show. Probably could use it too......

Although I haven't been to Nokia, I've heard nothing but wonderful reviews of the place. It is a beautiful venue. Check it out here - you can also do a 360 tour of the place:

I want to personally thank whatever powers that be that she is not playing at Starplex, aka Smirnoff, aka The Hot As Hell Dallas Venue. Nothing better than seeing a concert when it's 110 degrees outside. <what I looked like after 10 minutes last year.

See you guys on the 17th.

the Nokia sounds like a better venue than the Smirnoff "Parking Garage" Music Centre at the State Fair Park (Been to the "Parking Garage" twice, First time nearly having heat stroke in 2001 and watching the bees swarm in 2004  )

With the Nokia being an indoor arena that may be the only thing that will allow me to make this trip, Cause otherwise (If the venue was outdoors) I would have to pass due to health issues (I am already pissed/sad that I have to pass on the Gigantour show at the Nokia on August 2nd because I have a MRI scheduled with a Neurologist the next morning of August 3rd).

Plan to buy my ticket very soon...

Starplex or Smirnoff is located on the grounds of the State Fair of Texas. The neighborhood is scary at night and although they swear the covered part of the amphiteater is airconditioned, that really doesn't help much with the entire back end opened for the patrons on blankets. I think it is even cooler out on the lawn because at least you have a breeze.

Just to update everybody on my little get together, I do plan to have one, but at the moment my partner and I are looking to buy a house. If we get one sooner than later we might not be in the position to host something but I'd be happy to meet with anybody at a bar or restaurant in the area. I should know something certain by the end of the week and will post again.

I make kick-ass margaritas so I hope to have people over.

Keep us up to date. You know I'm definitely up for a li'l pre-party, just tell me where to be! If not your place, is there anywhere around Grand Prairie to meet, or do we need to meet in Dallas? You could probably twist my arm into meeting in the Gayborhood.

I'd like us to meet in the Gayborhood, either at a bar or my place (duplex apt) but Sunday afternoons are busy in the gay bars so it might be easier to meet at a restaurant and have drinks and muchies there.

I'll be on the way from the Houston show, but I'd love to meet at a place. I will PM Eliud woth my cell #, and you can call me the day of the show or whenever to arrange something. I'll be leaving on Tuesday the 12th for the 2 Florida shows before I come to Texas, so I wont have access to a computer after monday. Look forward to seeing you all :)
