Arizona’s own, Stevie Nicks will perform a special benefit concert on Thursday, August 4 at the Dodge Theatre. Proceeds from the concert, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm, will benefit the Arizona Heart Foundation Cardiovascular Research and Education Building. The building will be located on the Arizona Heart Hospital campus, 20th Street and Thomas Road, and will contain a state-of-the art lab which provides a venue for the development of new cardiovascular treatment technologies. Public space in the building will enable the foundation to provide health education programs for all ages
Stevie Nicks, currently on the road with her Gold Dust tour, will once again lend her support to the Arizona Heart Foundation (AHF). The organization is a choice charity of Nicks, whose parents have both undergone heart surgery. Stevie Nicks is expected to perform material spanning her outstanding career as a soloist and a member of Fleetwood Mac.
The generosity of Stevie Nicks and her many supportive fans from around the world have helped to bring this unique cardiovascular resource to Arizona residents and visitors. The building’s ground breaking will take place in late July with occupancy estimated for summer of 2006. The building will be dedicated to The Nicks family and will recognize the contributions of those who have joined the fight to eliminate heart disease, one of America’s most deadly chronic illnesses
