Hi everyone, I am a long time Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks fan, and am new to this forum. With Stevie touring all this summer, does anyone think she will ever be able to sit down and start another long awaited solo album? With all of her plans for the future, like the Rhiannon movie she wants to release, does anyone think she will put out a new album in the next few years ahead? As we all know TISL is one of Stevie's best albums ever, but that was 4 and 1/2 years ago, and I, like all of you, cannot wait for her next solo album. What are your thoughts?

She already said it was half written about a year ago... Just because she's not talking about it anymore, doesn't mean she's given up on it... I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that next spring, she will release her new album and do a short tour to promote it.. then go right back into the studio in the fall of '06 and work on the new Fleetwood Mac album which will be out by the summer of '07... then they will start touring for the 40th anniversary of the band and the 30th anniversary of "Rumours".. :woohoo:

I think she will record with Fleetwood Mac instead of making a solo record.

Nope.

I think she plans on going back into the studio with Fleetwood Mac.

The fact that she used to mention it and now she doesn't is important. Personally, I think she is tired and her priorities are changing. If anyone has read her recent interviews, it does seem to confirm her priorities are changing. She has a new house she is very excited about and has been saying she is tired and cannot wait to get home to various people on the road. I think she will work on her Rhiannon songs for the next year or so and then tour with FM. I do not think we will get another solo album from Stevie...she has given up so much to have this larger than life career and I think she has recently realized that she wants other things out of life too.
*note...I know some of you will vehemently disagree withme and that is fine...I do have my reasons for feeling this way. (it is not some crazy delusion I have cooked up : > )

I just have one question. I've heard some people refer to Stevie buying a new house? When was this?

I am so not interested in Greatest Hits - any fan will already have all her music, why get yet another copy?
Personally, I would spend anything on the following (if only she would do something like this!):
A narrative of her life (DVD or CD), using her music (unreleased, alternate versions) to thread the story together.
Kind of like: "when he called me to tell me we were over, I sat at my window and wrote this song...." ... can you imagine such an offering??? It can have all the mystery and witchiness she wants, without spilling all the secrets, but be new and fantastic.

Now that is a cool idea. Sort of like an autobiography with songs every now and then? If she used both old and new songs for this I would love it!

I was thinking about the same thing. How is it possible I have a clear image of the doorknobs in Lindsey's previous house and I can't remember anything about this new Stevie house? Premature Alzheimer?

Next year, I would like to see a 25th anniversary tour of Bella Donna, in which Stevie performs the album in its entirety in intimate theaters across the country.

.. then they will start touring for the 40th anniversary of the band and the 30th anniversary of "Rumours".. :woohoo:
Another friggin' tour to promote Rumours...that horse is dead, buried, reincarnated, died again, buried again, ressurrected again. Will that album not DIE?!?
And, bands wonder why their new material gets no respect...they don't respect it themselves. They live in the past, so their audience lives in the past, too.

And what kills me most is that no one ever answers this question! JK! But seriously...

IT must be some kind of secret... So what's up with Stevie's new house? How are the doorknobs? :D.

Additions accepted! Great idea.
It's fun spending time thinking of things that don't stand a chance in hell of happening.

"Sleeping Angel" what quite a few fans consider her finest vocal is also from the Bella Donna sessions.I don't get that she is already complaining of being tired form touring yet traipsing around the country and performing is less energy draining than staying in her nice El Lay house and working on a new solo album?

Gotta agree here. Rumours is amazing and I will remember listening to it when I was young, before I became obsessed with Miss Nicks. But enough is enough!
I would love to see Stevie put out an acoustic album, with a distinct demo feel. I think it would be amazing. Some of her demos are my favorite recordings of her, just her beautiful voice and piano or guitar. And maybe a little tambourine ;) ;)

I said it will also be to tour for the band's 40th anniversary... it just so happens that it will also be the 30th anniversary of "Rumours".. it would seem like the perfect opportunity to tour.. and i'm quite certain they will take that opportunity...

I agree, at least that's what I hope happens. It would be ideal...and it would satiate all of our needs for more material.
