I know this isn't Stevie related but it's a shame to see Destiny's Child breaking up...I just got this off ticketmasters main page:

A Date with Destiny
It's been announced. "Destiny Fulfilled...And Lovin' It" will be the FINAL tour for Destiny's Child! Don't miss out on this amazing farewell show.

I dunno, what do you think?

Don't think much about it... I did a week ago when it was first announced for like maybe a second!!

Glad they did bootylisious before calling it a day :)

Yeah - funny. I heard the news about a week ago, and thought, didn't they already announce they were breaking up?

I actually believed Beyonce years ago when she said this line-up was "forever" and that they would be "friends forever." Of course, I realize that they did say they'd remain friends, but some shit must've gone down.

If I were Michelle, I'd be really pissed about how they just let me fall down during a live performance and they didn't even flinch, much less bother to help me up! I had that video as my sig for awhile. That was funny and sad. No one likes Michelle, it seems.

I watched "Best Week Ever" today and one of the comedians said "We'll miss all three of you, but two of you not so much."

Oh man, that takes the booty out of my licious or the licious out of my booty. I'm not sure which.

DC gained fame and popularity to help further the career of Bayonette (is that a typ-o?). Then her solo rises and falls, then it's time to hit re-load. They garner success, but not so much like the Booty-go-round, so it's syanara for them. Too bad. Shame groups can't endure like say 20 years ago. Sounds like I'm DC bashing, but I did rather like them. Shame the other 2 equally talented ladies didn't get the full ride like B did. :distress:

Devastating.

And before they could release their hip-hop Stevie inspired single
"The Booty and The Beast" ?
Say it isn't so !

Good! They don't even really sing on stage.

I happen to love DC and Beyonce. So, I'm sad to see them break up, but I'm sure Beyonce will continue. I've always called them "Beyonce and 'em". I think Kelly and Michelle are talented, but it's always been about B. I'm catching them in Memphis in July and I'm glad I'll finally get to see them before they call it quits.

EDIT: While it is true that they don't really sing a lot live onstage, some of that is due to the fact that the basis of a lot of their songs are the harmonies and vocal patterns that couldn't really be duplicated (and I am in no way saying it is ok to lipsynch). But, you're right, a lot of it is just tracks to allow Beyonce to do her thing, but it's still enjoyable to me. Call me crazy...it's a closet obsession.

That was such a bitchy thing to do. Yet I found it oddly amusing.

As far as Destiny's Child breaking up goes, I say good riddance. :woohoo:

I've been a moderate fan since the beginning, but after the last album I totally got into them. It's too bad they're breaking up, because I didn't really care for any of the solo records (at least Beyonce and Kelly's; didn't buy Michelle's.) I do plan on going to see them if/when the tour comes to this area... :woohoo:

So I guess the only way for DC fans to her them in concert is to catch a Stevie show to hear Bootylicious

Doesn't affect me at all...I was more devistated by the breakup of Gemini Twins.
