Just got back from DTE - A few thoughts before I crash ( its 430 am  )
First off I have to say that it was pretty cold ( Don put a coat on after his first song :o ) and Stevie had the gloves and layers of clothes on ; sorry SOTB members  The show was still awesome though - the only disappointment was no SYWTBARRS
I really enjoyed Don's songs and his duets with Stevie. They seem very relaxed and chatty with eachother. GDW was especially good.
HC was great to see live and BATB was gut wrenchingly spectacular :blob1:
I will try and put together a review when I am more awake
OH, Does anybody in the front row know who the guy was that tried to pull Stevie into the crowd? She went to shake his hand and he pulled her so hard she almost fell :distress: edit not intentional; guy fainted. I probably will too if i ever get to meet her :)

What a F@@ktard. Seriously, what a classless move.
I am glad you had a great time, Henry. Wonder if there is a time limit in Detroit? It is a shame cause SYWBARRS is really rocking.

Yes there is a time limit in Detroit of 11:00--that is why they didn't do that song.....I was wondering what had happened as far as Stevie--we were in the front row but almost all the way over to the side so we couldn't see......all I saw was her guard hightailing it across the stage to get her--I was told the guy almost passed out or something??? If it is the guy I'm thinking it was he is diabetic and has a heart condition--at least that is what I was told......if he really did pull her then that is definitely NOT cool!!! I thought she was staring at him to see if he was okay  but like I said--I definitely could not see what was happening......

I was at the DTE show last night too. I was sitting 5th row right by Sharon and Jana. I saw that guy pull Stevie hard. I don't know if you heard but the crowd gasped. It really scared me. :( I thought the security was pretty ridiculous too.. I asked the guy if I could go down for EO17 (meanwhile, like 15 other people were already there) and he's like "No. We cannot do that. Go back to your seat."
Other than that, the show was amazing.

REALLY?? Well like I said--I didn't see it and if he purposely pulled Stevie that hard then what an a-hole!!! I did hear everyone gasp and like I said the security guy ran so fast in front of us and I was like WTF is going on?? NOT GOOD!! By the way--you must have been right behind us--we were in the first row right in front of Sharon and Jana--I was blond and had on a black leather jacket.........If you by any chance got any pix of me shaking Stevie's hand could you please please let me know privately?? Pretty please?? Anyone out there........if you got me at all in your picture during the stage walk I would love love love to have a copy--I could trade you a pic I took from the SYW tour or something :0) Or if the 1 or 2 pix that I THINK might have turned out last night did actually turn out okay--I can trade........

This happened at the very beginning of her set and she still did the "Edge Walk", which I give her credit for. It was just stupid. She comes out all smiles, is cool enough to shake this morons hand and he grabs her and almost pulls her into the crowd  Man she was pissed (dont blame her) and was staring down the guy while she sang
...if i had a rubber hose i would beat that guy...
i have been so lucky to have been able to shake stevie's hand several times, & for someone to do that, makes me shudder, shaking her hand is a dream come true for so many of her fans, i just hope this doesn't ruin it for the other wonderful stevie lovers!!!~

I was in row C on the right side and I saw this also! To me, Stevie didn't look angry though--I thought she played it very cool. I just saw her move forward a little too much, and I saw her body guard start to walk toward her with an extremely intense look in his eye--I'll never forget it--like he was fully prepared to kick some a$$, LOL. But it was over in an instant and Stevie just went back to the mic and started singing.
By the time Edge started, it was as if nothing had happened at all. Stevie shook LOTS of hands and even said, when she was done, "what a pleasure." So I don't think anything is going to change, :) .

I was in row E probably right behind you. I have blonde hair and was dressed in a black tank top and black skirt (how original). I'm sure you saw me at some point. I made quite a scene when people behind me were saying:
A) after Stevie did her duets during Don's set, she was walking off stage and the guy directly behind me said "Good. Get her off of there, we'd rather see Don sing his own songs anyways."
B) told me to sit down during RHIANNON?!
and
C) kept saying (during the beginning of Rhiannon) "This song used to start out fast! What the hell?"
I'm sorry that I do not have any pictures from last night, nor do any of my friends who happened to get up there during Edge of 17 (security on their side must have been easier to get by)... hopefully someone got pictures for you though!!!

When I read these, I don't get all the hate between Eagles fans and Stevie's fans. I've checked out the Eagles board (but not in a while) and everyone is so cool about them being together and really complimentary of Stevie. I only feel it here.. If the Eagles fans based Stevie's fans on the guy who supposedly tried to pull Stevie down (and I apologize if he had a heart condition or something related and wasn't actually trying to pull her down), they'd think we were a bunch of idiots. Whatever Stevie is doing is making her happy and giving us awesome performances. For the chance to see them here together, I'd gladly mix with the Eagles crowd. :D
Thanks for all the reviews. I'll say this for the umpteenth time. I wish they could have made it to Cal together :(
On edit: I'm the f*ckwad. :distress:

Thanks for getting back to me Jen :0) Yeah--we had a couple behind us also that I'm thinking were Don fans....first they turned in the lady next to us that tried to take some pix--and then they said something to the effect that my husband should be thrown out for taking pix--whatever!! We weren't even using a flash--hence the crappy a$$ pix we got!! I think we got maybe 3 pix out of 47 that turned out :0( They were also shooting us dirty looks all night for standing--well excuse me--my tickets weren't cheap and if I want to stand I'm going to stand......sorry!! When Stevie was doing her edge walk the guy thought he was being funny and acted like he was going to pull up his shirt to "flash" Stevie--whatever.......... I'm not saying all of the Don fans were bad--because there were a few at the All Access party that were pretty nice :0) Plus my husbands friend--who he let come down to front row with his ticket for Dons set--is a HUGE Eagles fan--and he is totally cool....the people behind us just didn't seem like the friendliest people to me....of course I don't know them personally....but turning in the lady next to us for trying to take some pix--that was really rotten in my opinion......

I was at the concert on the right side Row E as well but towards the center section right on the end, perfect view of everything and all. The concert was awesome, but the jerk that pulled stevie did piss me off too... thru the beginning of OTR she was givin him some nasty looks
before stevies set started my neice asked the security if they'd be letting people up for Edge , and he told her then to run like hell cuz once too many were up they were gonna stop it. well Edge came on and my neice whos 18 is only 4'11 said to me...after some others went up, that she wouldnt be able to see anything so lets just forget it... even tho it killed me i agreed cuz i didnt want her to get pounced on or anything. well half way thru edge that security guy came up and said "you all waitin til the end or what?" she told him that she was too short she wouldnt be able to see anything...he then said "ohh come on i'll make sure you get up there" so he grabbed her and waved for me and my other neice to follow and walked us right up to the stage...and stevie came up shook some hands and my two neices hand then grabbed mine and i said "thank you i love you " (how creative huh lol) and stevie looked right at me and said "no thank you!" yep i bout piddled my pants lol hahaha
the security guy was sooooooo nice after he said to us "see I told you I'd take care of you guys!!" And I just couldnt thank him enough!! it was way cool the whole concert was great!! I cant wait til friday In Grand Rapids!!

Sounds like you met the same security guy that me and Bree did! Blond hair? About mid-30s? Standing on the centre-right aisle just at the break between the pit and the regular rows? He was awesome. He's the reason we got to the stage, too, and got to shake Stevie's hand. Glad you and your nieces had such a great time!

That is AWESOME!! Now that is the kind of security guard I like :) Actually I didn't think security was that bad--not compared to what we've dealt with in the past there......the guy that caught us with our camera was actually pretty cool about it--just said--put the camera away please--and left it at that....... but heck--he could have let us take pix all night anyways because they didn't even turn out.....oh I forgot--I'm not suppose to be whining about that anymore :D

There's always some jackass in the crowd who thinks the people around them care about their stupid observations. I mean, why even bother to come if you're just going to criticize everything? And I've heard stuff like this from STEVIE fans in the audience...but of course not comment A .

OH, Does anybody in the front row know who the guy was that tried to pull Stevie into the crowd? She went to shake his hand and he pulled her so hard she almost fell
I don't know who this was, but when I saw that, my heart dropped, and like Jen said, you heard the whole crowd gasp. I was 30 something rows back, but I still seen Stevie glaring at that guy. lol. If she would have fell-ooh buddy, you know that man wouldn't have made it out of there alive. lol.
For the left side, security was awesome. I know the last time I was there, they were total assholes, but I got lucky this time.

Just so everyone knows,
It's official: the guy who "pulled" Stevie did NOT do it on purpose--he has diabetes which has affected his heart (or, in any case, he has both diabetes and a heart condition), so Amy was right. Stevie was informed of him ahead of time and went to shake his hand and he fainted.
Stevie was freaked out but not in an angry way--the "dirty looks" and "glares" she was giving him were actually looks of extreme concern. This is why her massive body guard, Raul, didn't actually make his way all the way across the stage to kick some a$$--he was staring intently, but he backed off because he knew Stevie's safety was not in question. I feel so bad for this guy because people have been randomly calling him an "a$$hole" and projecting their own anger onto Stevie's expressions without knowing what really happened--my gut feeling was that Stevie was not angry at all, but I was starting to doubt my own observations.
In any case, he clearly did not "ruin it" for the rest of us because Stevie did the Edge walk just like she always does and seemed to be having a great time. I hope I get to shake her hand in Grand Rapids! Stevie is such a class act!

Thanks so much for clearing that up Lisa Anne :) I could not imagine this guy doing that purposely as he was at the I Love All Access party and I didn't get that '"vibe" from him at all that he would do something like that--but I honestly didn't see it--so I didn't really know what to think....... I'm so glad you set the record straight though

OK that's good to know it wasn't intentional. It makes sense since he wasnt escorted out, hope he was able to enjoy the show. On a lighter note, I heard the funniest thing at this show.
