Here are a couple of picks from tonight's Detroit show (more to come tomorrow). I also grabbed audio, so that'll be making it way around soon....

NICE PICS girl! Can't wait to hear all about it. How did Stevie sound? Some say that the last few shows she sounds tired. I hope not. I hope she gives herself a good break between shows. How bout camera Nazi's? I'm gonna say no, cause you got some great shots!!!! Thanks for sharing :xoxo:

Hi Shel! Great photos! What type of camera did you use? I'm smuggling my camera into the Chicago show tonight, and I can use all the advice I can get! I generally use a 35mm, but I was thinking about using my digital tonight so I don't have to worry about all the film -- and I'll know right away what kind of photos I'm getting.

Well its official--my new camera SUCKS!! I got 1 maybe 2 photos from the show out of 40 that we took :0( We didn't use our flash because we were trying to be respectful to Don and we didn't want to draw attention to us because of security--I'm sooo sad :( What a real downer to an otherwise overly exciting night!!

I dont think she sounded tired at all in Atlanta Thursday, her voice was in better shape than I've heard in years

Hey Anita! I didn't think she sounded tired at all last night--I loved her little Gold Dust Woman dance :0) And her hula dance :0)) I got a shot of her doing the hula from the last FM show that I'll have to send you :0) She really belted out the "goooooo hooommmeee!!!" on Gold Dust Woman and really did the Edge scream nicely--held it for a long long time--soooo cool!!

Ok, here are more Detroit photos. I tried to get the pants, but since it was so light out and security was tight, I took them with my binoculars. I didn't pull out the digital until Stevie's set....

Actually, I used the binoculars just for the Don Henley set (the two pants photos). The rest I took with my Fuji digital camera. Sorry, I guess that was confusing the way I explained it before.

Great pants shots!! These are incredible for binoculars!!! Tx!
Damn, Stevie looks HOT in pants! She should wear those skin tight pants more often. And to think that she's still single?!
Very nice pics. I especially like the one with the BATB backdrop, and of course the pants shots. :D

Great pics!!
Doesn't look like there is much distance between the back of Stevie/Don and the drum set... looks like they could fall into the audience at any moment!

Thank you so much for sharing them. (I think those are the clearest shot of The Pants yet!)

Great pictures! I really appreciate them since mine BITE.
I think the photo is creating an optical illusion - there was a lot of space between the drums and the edge of the stage.
And yes - Stevie looked HELLA hot in those pants. Truly smokin'.

I hear ya there!! Mine were the worst pix we have ever taken :0(( And the ironic thing is that the new camera we used was the most expensive of any that we ever used--go figure! I think if we could have gotten away with using a flash they would have turned out.......we actually used the same kind of camera that Shel used when FM was here for the SYW tour--and picky me wanted "crisper" photos--I don't know if you know what I mean--but some of our photos had that purple fringe to them and the mega pixel wasn't very high on the camera and it was pretty big for sneaking into shows....... and I didn't like that--but at least they were clear and not all of them were overexposed--and it had a kick a$$ zoom on it........but long story short--I took that camera back and got my new one that we used last night--big mistake :distress: I'm looking to buy the other one again!! Again I think if we could have used flash though then our pix would have been awesome........dumb me also had our film camera with us that has given us decent results in the past--but I was too chicken that I would get caught by security and never even got the thing out.....seriously kicking my own butt right now :( By the way--I don't know about others--but we never even got searched at all.........thought that was pretty weird!! Okay--I'm done whining about my photos now!!! You can all call me a big whiner now if you want

Nah - I totally sympathize. I wasn't expecting greatness from mine )I took them on my phone) - but I at least thought I'd be able to make out their faces... :( It's disappointing when you think you have a little digital goldmine, and it turns out to be crap.
BTW, where were you sitting?

We were in the front row right in front of Sharon and Jana.....We did the All Access 5 star package--I was a teeny tiny bit disappointed we weren't more towards the center though--Stevie had her back to us a lot of the night.......I was wearing my jeans, black shirt, and black leather jacket--blonde hair...... This definitely blew the FM package away though!! All Access is a class act :)

That's exactly where I wound up when we rushed the stage for Edge!! Were you right at the end? There was a woman with short reddish hair I saw. But I have to say, I was more concentrated on shaking Stevie's hand. And dancing my a$$ off during it!
As you mentioned in your other post, I, too, am still on that Stevie high! Last night's show was just smokin'! I am just hoping and praying she comes back around these parts in August or September...

I was in about 5 seats and I was next to my husband--he was the one sitting down and Stevie made him stand up to shake her hand! He isn't a big fan and was going to pass on the hand shaking--but she made him get up and shake her hand--I was laughing--but he was bragging after the show--Stevie MADE me shake her hand!! ha ha Whatever!! There was a lady next to me to my right that was in a brown type colored skirt and camisole type thing--she had really short hair--she was a little tipsy I'd say :p

Yyyyup! That was her! Didn't know if she was with you when you described where you were sitting earlier! Tipsy is a rather conservative way of describing her, I'd say! I'd hate to be that drunk at a show - I want to be able to remember it!

NO she wasn't with us!! LOL!! Let me set that straight right now!! ha ha ha But she did the I Love All Access too so she was at the little party thing....she was actually cracking me up at first and kept talking to me--but towards the end she was kind of annoying me!! ha ha I have to give her a little bit of kudos though--she definitely got Dons attention to look our way a few times--and she got Sharon's autograph--I was like--WTF?? when Sharon brought her CD insert back to her signed--boy did I miss an opportunity!! I didn't even see her take it from her--just saw her hand it back to her!! LOL!! But we were right next to her--to her left........

As good as they are, I still don't think any pictures, do Stevie justice. She is so much more beautiful in person, and TINY as can be!

I am sorry about your photos Amy. I am curious as to what kind of camera you used? Maybe you just need to set it to a diffferent shooting mode or something. Do you have one to post just so we can see what it looks like. You should have gotten somewhat OK pics from front row even without a flash.
I think that we need to start a concert photo thread where we can post tips and stuff.

Welll--I bought a Canon SD 500--and it wasn't cheap!! Yes I think I just had it set wrong.......we had the iso at 400 and the exposure at 1 or something like that.....they were all blurry though and washed out looking..... We left the autofocus on........we turned the flash off and the assist lamp off.......I'm thinking maybe if the exposure level was lower they would have been better--all you can see is Stevie's white face :0P We got maybe 6 okay photos--but that was just because my husband mistakenly set it to auto a few times and it flashed and everything...... It has some "special" settings but I had no idea what to use and what not to use....... I would be glad to post a couple but they are HUGE!! I don't know how to make them smaller...... I can email you an example to your home address if you would like....... We also took about 5 with a disposable that are pretty far away looking--but at least they were clear!! ha ha My husband got a close up of Stevie during the Edge walk taking flowers from the lady next to us--but he cut off the top of her head!! I just think we were not meant to have any photos from this show!
