Hi, All!
To celebrate my 100th post (yes, it took me awhile ;) ), I wanted to send out a call, to all fellow "lurkers" here on the Ledge, who either post infrequently (like myself) or who have *never* posted, but want to make amends! :p
Introduce yourself, maybe mention why you love the Ledge and what brings you here (whether it be in the shadows, or "full monty" for all to see! ;) ). I'm here first and foremost, for my love and admiration of Stevie and her works. She inspires so much within me, both artistically and as a person.
The attached pic was taken in Vegas, 5-13-05. My friend Olga and I, with Brett Tuggle, who was simply *awesome*...so gracious and warm. :D

After checking out the posts over here off and on for several years, and two prior attempts to join The Ledge, I finally made in tonight! I'm fairly good with computers but for some reason, I could never make my account work correctly. I hid under the philosophical belief that perhaps it just wasn't meant to be or I'm just lazy.
I know so many of you from other boards, prior chats, concerts, and other internet destinations. So, hello to my old friends and all soon to be friends! It's great to be here.
I've been a fan of Stevie and Fleetwood Mac since I was a teenager in the 1970's. I simply adore her. I have a zillion stories as to why I adore her and a ton of memories that are tied to her and her music.
I look forward to hanging out with you guys!
Peace & Passion,
Patty

Thank you, Justin! You are a remarkable young guy...and you add a whole lotta thought and care to the Ledge!! :xoxo: The numbers of posts mean little, obviously... it's the passion for our favorite band and its members, and the friendships that emerge from the experience, that do count!
And welcome, Patty! FINALLY! LOL :wavey: Computers can definitely make you :] !! Let's see how many Lurkers follow our lead!

Can I just say your picture made me scream out loud? That is AWESOME!
What brings me to the Ledge? Brett Tuggle. Seriously. I saw the Mac at Dallas and Houston '03 and both times I was right behind him. Had I paid more attention I could have told you exactly what key he was playing in. (Beautiful Child is in B major if memory serves, but that's all I remember.) Something in the back of my mind told me I needed to pay more attention to him because he would have a major influence on my life. So I did. And I figured out exactly what it is I want to do with my life -- exactly what he does. I have never felt more strongly about music than I do right now. And it's not just a dream anymore, it's possible. If I have any say in it, it's going to happen. If I hadn't found out about Brett, I would still be asking questions and wondering if this was reasonable. I would have settled for a major in special ed and told myself that was what I had to do because it was what I was supposed to do according to everyone around me. But this is my life to live and I'm going to do what I love somehow someway -- and it won't be easy, but I know I can do it. I'm up to the challenge now. Brett is by far my biggest inspiration -- and he knows it, too. I've got a long road ahead of me, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

Hey Kortni ~ yes, Brett is an amazing guy. I'm still learning more about him. I had no idea that I would walk back up to the theater doorway, 25 minutes AFTER the concert, and find him standing there with fans!! I was floored...and even more so when he so graciously posed with us. You always expect a rock star to be unapproachable, or a let down to meet in person. He was neither; just very, very cool.
~Good luck to you! You gotta strive for your goals, no matter big or small. I try to remember that all the time. Settling for something is just NOT an option, in my book! LOL :)

Thanks for the welcome Josh and for starting this thread! Hey Kortni - I remember talking with you back in the Burnish days. Everytime I see or read anything about Brett, I think of you. Have you been in touch with him at all since the Say You Will tour? Did you get questions in at the Q&A with him on this site? Are you going to Houston and Dallas again this summer? Do you have good seats?
I really, sincerely hope that you do hook up with him someday and are able to spend a few minutes visiting with him. I think it is really cool that he has such a loyal fan.
I'm crossing my fingers and clicking my heels for you!

Hi,
My name is Janelle and I lurk! :) I hope I can be forgiven for this heinous crime! :D
I am here because I've been a FM and Stevie fan for as long as I can remember...I grew up on their music because my Mom was a huge fan. I didn't begin to fully appreciate the music until around 1997 when I lost my Mom. It really got me through some tough spots. I couldn't go to The Dance tour, and I was so bummed because I thought they'd never come back! Imagine my excitement when they announced the new tour, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. I went to all the MI shows...and had front row for Grand Rapids. It was phenomenal! I only wished my Mom was there to share it with me. Bittersweet, I guess.
Anyway...that is why I'm here! You all are great, and I love reading the posts. Sometimes it's hard to just jump in, without knowing anybody. I am kind of shy and to me it's like being in a room full of people and walking in on someone's conversation. That's just not something I would do. So anyway, please forgive me for lurking...I mean no harm! :)

I like Brett too
Even though I sound like a 5 yr old I asked him this on his Q & A....
Hi Brett! I think you are wonderful! I have admired you for awhile. My question is...ARE YOU MARRIED or DATING anyone? You are so damn hot! :) (Dreaming Always, New York, USA)
Ahhh shucks. You're kind of nice yourself. I have a family at home and I'm a very lucky man indeed. But hey, Neale and Carlos are unattached....

Hi, everyone :wavey: I am Lorelei and am member of the shy LLU!!
I have been a fan since The White Album and am totally obsessed with Stevie. Her music helps get me thru life and all its trials and tribulations  When I hear her voice-it just makes everything ok again or maybe just more tolerable.
I just love all the concert reviews(Paula's especially crack me up) and all the knowledge that people post and have really learned alot of stuff I never knew. I really appreciate people sharing their experiences, pictures and music and for that I thank you all.

Hey Patty! I submitted a handful of questions to Brett when he did the Q&A last year and I almost met him in Houston but their flight was waiting and they had to leave. I've been in touch with people who've met him after the last three SYW shows and some of the Vegas shows, but other than them mentioning me a couple times and the Q&A I haven't had any contact with him at all. All I know is he knows that I'm out here. I'm not complainin'...
I've got tickets to Houston, 14th row on the right... I hope I didn't make a mistake with that... I got like 22nd row left last year and I could hardly see him, and this year he'll probably be on the right and I got seats on the right. I guess I'll find out next month. I would love to do Dallas the day after but I'm not familiar with the city at all... I am trying to scheme something up for Red Rocks, but I don't know if it's going to work out.
I hope I get to meet him someday -- that voice in my mind was right when it told me he would have a huge impact on me. There are so many things I want to talk about and so many questions... with my luck, I'll forget every one of them.
Good to hear from you, Patty! :wavey: Are you going to any shows this summer?

I dont really post because for one most people seem to know each other so its hard to just jump in and also, coming from the UK I feel kinda outta the loop most of the time!!!!
Ok, so I'm 20 and I've been in FM for about three years, I mostly like the Stevie/Lindset era, altho. I like a lot of Peter Green's FM also. I adore Stevie solo as well, and seem to spend a lot of time and money on this obsession!!!
Lots of Love, Nicki

Just so everyone's aware, some of us do know eachother, but most times it's cuz we've met throught The Ledge (or other message boards). There are not that many of us who were friends before we started chatting on the boards.
So, please post & interject whatever opinions/thoughts you have about anything you'd like. That's what the Ledge is here for, after all. Don't feel like you're interrupting just because we tease/laugh at/argue with eachother . You'll be involved in no time.
Unless you think we're a bunch of freaks/assholes/whackos/nerds & you don't WANT to be involved...

One tihng for sure, my already crazy love of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac has increased about 500 fold since I joined. I think the love is infectious! :xoxo:

Hey Nicki, welcome! I guess we have admitted to being Ledgie addicts, just like everybody else! :p There are several Ledgies from the UK on here, and from all around the world - more than we know of, I'm sure!! So don't feel "out of the loop." The world is a LOT smaller than it used to be, ;)
I've been a major Stevie/Mac fan since 1997, The Dance...although I was always aware of them, way back to the Gypsy and Hold Me videos in '82! But ever since '97, my wallet has been continually drained of its resources, lol. That's just part of the fun!! ;)

I'm mostly a lurker myself... have been since, oh, about 1996 or 97. I've dipped into a few of the political discussions here and sincerely wish I hadn't (though I now consider it water under the proverbial bridge).
But these are some of the most passionate people you'll find anywhere. I feel a deep kinship with Ledgies and actually have some favorites that I read all the time, kinda like favorite columnists in a newspaper. :)
I don't post much, but every now and then I'll get into something. I love talking and reading about Fleetwood Mac, and unlike my non-virtual family and friends, nobody gets tired of it here!!!

Josh :wavey:Hey I totally understand where you're coming from. I just joined last month and I'm up to almost 50 now. I guess the reason I joined was to engage in good discussion with other passionate Stevie/Fleetwood Mac fans. At least up here in Minnesota, I haven't been able to find that many to hang with. Oh well, guess they're all too busy listening to Polka music. I've been listening to her sing for almost 30 years, since I was 6, and this is the first time I've really had a chance to connect with other fans in this manner. Both Stevie and Fleetwood Mac mean so much to me, I can say with assurance that I probably wouldnt be here today if I didnt have them to listen to during those tough times. I am enjoying very much reading the responses to the posts I've made, even if they dont agree with me. :D Look forward to continuing this fun journey :D

Hello all,
I am so glad for this posting because I too, ashamed as I am, have been an addicted "lurker" for the past several months, I found this site by fate 8-) I had only really known to check The Nicks Fix for info, and well, that got to be old, I was looking for more
I am a 32 yr old Stevie and FM fan, when I first fell for Stevie, I was "somwhere on the edge of" five ;) I heard "dreams" while riding in the back seat of the family car and felt "warm fuzzies" I was hooked from then on......in high school I was deemed "the outcast" for being obsessed with "who is he?" Stevie 8-) I even risked my job as a school DJ by locking myself in the station and smuggling in all the stevie records I could and having a Stevie fest on the radio 8-)))) I just love her like so many of you in ways its just too hard to describe.
I now have 2 children, got my honey to let me squeeze in "Rhiannon" as my second child's middle name, she so fits that Goddess thing 8-)))
And now I am hoping to stop lurking and be brave and well, this is just my hello and incredible thanks to all of you for sharing your stories, ideas, and love for Stevie... :wavey:

It's incredible how many of us say the same thing, that Stevie/The Mac have gotten us through ordeals and hard times. They must know this by now, and I hope that it truly means something to them as well. In Stevie's case, I'm sure of it, :xoxo:

Yes... a big welcome to every one of you newbies... It's a pretty diverse crowd as I'm sure you are aware... But we are all here because we love FM/SN and that makes us one big happy family... A sometimes disfuctional family.. But still
Oh.. and I was going to say to DavidMN... I'm farther north then you are.. Straight up as a matter of fact in Manitoba... So I think I've won on the northern front!

Good to hear from you, Patty! :wavey: Are you going to any shows this summer?
I've got a 12th row for Stevie on the 17th in Dallas. I'm hoping to come up with better seats before the show. Honestly Kortni, if tickets turn up, I'd be happy to give you one of my 12th row tickets. I'm going with two friends.
I'm also working on this theory that Stevie and Don are really going to do a show here together on the 18th. I should just dream on because I am a silly dreamer, but here are my reasons for believing this...
1. Two ticket brokers are showing the two remaining shows in Michigan and Chicago and then DALLAS ON THE 18TH OF JULY! :blob1: Although it shows the tickets aren't on sale yet.
2. Don lives here and isn't on the road with the Eagles until August.
3. People on Don boards were talking about a taped show and this Dallas venue is perfect for that. It only holds 6000 people and Stevie alone can sell out our hot as hell outdoor venue that holds 12,000.
4. I am just a silly dreamer.
Anyhow - I hope you have a great time and manage to hook up with Brett!
Love,
Patty

glad to be here!! How is Olivia?
Olivia is having a wonderful summer torturing our new kitten. He's been in the inside of the dryer, been bathed in milk, dressed in baby clothes, carried around in a purse, had lipstick on.... Poor guy.... :(

My name is Ladonna and I am from Georgia. I love reading the Ledge posts, but as a couple of other people have mentioned, I hate to just jump in to a conversation when nobody knows me! But I do enjoy the discussions and come here FIRST when I want good Stevie info.
BTW, I saw Stevie and Don in Atlanta last night and it was incredible as everyone has already said!! :blob2: I enjoyed Don so much...I knew I would love Stevie of course. She just seemed so happy and free. (and skinny!!)
Anyway just wanted to say hi!!

Hey all! My name is Tara and I too am a huge fan of Stevie and the Mac. (Duh  Me stating the glaringly obvious  ) I love to play guitar, read, write and listen to music. I have a double major in Theatre and English up at school and during the summmers I work for a moving company (I pack people's houses up. ) and intern at a public radio station in Pittsburgh. I'm glad this post has allowed me to introduce myself because I felt the same way as many 'lurkers' out there have felt... a little shy and slow to jump in on the conversations going on here...and it took a random meeting the other night with Curtis at the Pittsburgh Stevie/Don show to coax me out of my shell. I love this community and have lurked for a long time, (almost 4 years now! )but then I got the courage to actually join last year after I saw FM in Scranton (Where I got my first tast of the awesome fan community that exists.) It took a whole year more of lurking though and another concert to get me going. Thank you Curtis, ( and to all of the other Ledgies who have welcomed me here within the last week when I posted my concert pictures and review from the Pitt. show  ) for being so sweet and making me feel welcome here! :xoxo: :D Also, congrats to our freshly promoted Senior Ledgies and welcome to my fellow 'lurker stepper outers! Oh, what the heck! I'm a serious Lurker! Somehow feel like I'm at an AA mtg and feel so much better now that I'm admitting it! :wavey:
My name is Linda and I live in Atlanta. Am I the only one that didn't get to go to the concert here last night?? Fortunately I caught 4 of the SYW concerts. Have never seen Stevie solo.
I've always loved FM/Stevie but as a "casual" fan. I blame my addiction on seeing The Dance DVD on PBS during fund-raiser week several years ago. I became HOOKED! My husband, Bill, recorded the concert and we both enjoyed watching it over and over and over and over and over...Well, you get the picture! When FM began touring for SYW, I had to go! My addiction became so bad at one point, I contacted brokers for tickets  ....my best seats being 4th row center at a Washington, D.C. concert! My husband had never seen this side of me! And the addiction continues!! Isn't it great!
Seriously, tho, I can always count on The Ledge to bring me the best FM/Stevie/Lindsey news and pictures!! Thanks so much, guys! I vow to no longer be such a lurker!

Hi! Just checking in and signing up for a membership to the LLU organization. Have the board members been voted in yet? If not, I'll run for Secretary!! :)
Hi, I am Tiffany (not bluewhitefire.com Tiffany) but the other one....please don't go "Lord of the Rings" on me. I rarely post because I never have enough time but I like reading through many of the threads on this board. I have been a FM fan since 1997 when I realized that they were the group that wrote/recorded "Gypsy" my favorite radio 80's tune. I just never knew who the band was. The Dance sold me too! I found this site in 1997 when I became increasingly fascinated in the idea of trading and wanted VIDEOS. I wanted to see what it was like to see this band live, especially during the early years. So I came here and found the Penguin and read up on all the FMac facts and read many of the Second Hand News archive articles to learn everything I possibly could of Stevie. I love her!!! I came across the message board but I posted less on there than I do here, now and I ended up just drifting away from the online community. My love for all things Mac never faded though and I continued to read articles and find pictures and trade some.
I came back around the Ledge again in '01 during the TISL time. I was getting very impatient for this CD to come out I needed to know what everyone else felt. I re-joined the board and just became the biggest lurker ever.
Over the past few years I've met some real cool people through message boards and even go to concerts with one of them. It is just real good to be able to share your "addictions" with people who understand them. And that is what this board is for me...my outlet, even though I don't post much!

Now the thread is so long that I doubt many will get this far, but just in case:
Hey guys, my name is Lindsey, and I have been loving FM and Stevie Nicks since I was wearing diapers. If you want proof, under my parent's bed exists a videotape of me singing every word of "Stand Back" using my jump rope as a mic and amazingly carrying 20 pounds of cheek fat like it was cute. But most noteably, Im naked, except for a high-waisted yet slightly droopy diaper.
Just want to say I have been enjoying the Ledge and it's members for about 3 years, and I especially enjoy all of the things I have learned here about my favorite band and thats thanks to all you guys.
Although I have never posted, I feel like I know all of you, seriously. Your endless conversation keep me entertained and happy for hours and hours. Many of you have sent me songs, DVDs, CDs and helpful information without even knowing anything about me or questioning my intentions, and for that I am incredibly grateful.
I have been studying abroad in Australia since July and for my birthday, my dad flew me back to the states to go with him to see Stevie's opening night in Vegas. (I know, how lucky am I?) And, as usual, I was furiously checking the Ledge in the days before I left Sydney. I was so tempted to walk up to you guys when I saw you all together after the show, nametags and all. It would have seemed out of left field since I have never posted here, but like I said, I feel like I know a lot of you guys and wanted to say hi so badly! As usual, shyness got the best of me.

:xoxo: You're a sweetheart! I don't know if I could talk my mom into doing Dallas again, though... last time was a nightmare. I don't know if I could brave a concert by myself, lol! I don't really have issues with crowds until I'm in one and I'm not with somebody else. But if Dallas starts becoming more realistic I'll let you know.
I'm also working on this theory that Stevie and Don are really going to do a show here together on the 18th. I should just dream on because I am a silly dreamer, but here are my reasons for believing this...

 For the Don and Stevie shows, right? I think you might be onto something. Funny how this info hasn't been released yet... do you think Stevie's solo show the night before will have an impact on the Dallas show with Don, if it happens? I mean, I know a handful of people who would gladly hit both nights, but a lot of people probably won't. This tour is getting stranger and stranger.

I am new to the Ledge. I came here because I love seeing what everyone else has to say about Stevie. I have been a fan of hers since I was 12; I am now 38. I used to think I was weird because I was so addicted to her and her music. Now I see that I am not the only one, which is great. I am going to the Grand Rapids show, 5th row floor, and am hoping I get to shake her hand this time.

Hi, I'm Jason. I'm 19 and I do post every once in a while, I just throw my two cents in.
I have been a fan for 5 years (since summer 2000), started when I borrowed a copy of TITN on cassette from the public library, fell in love with it and all things FM. Then I started getting into Stevie, just because I saw the cover of the OSOTM at CDNOW.COM (Remember that site? It's gone now.) And I just saw that and thought "That looks like a really interesting CD!" So I checked it out and that's how my love for Stevie began.
I never thought I would still be so in love with their music, even just 5 years later.
I really enjoy coming on the Ledge every other day or two. Everyone on here seems really cool, and definately funny! I always laugh my A$$ off everytime I check out a thread or a post!
But that's pretty much it. Just wanted to introduce myself, because I am a self admitted "lurker". :woohoo:
