More tomorrow, just got hope, and have class in the morning..
The show was INCREDIBLE, Don was more alive and energetic than I had heard he would be, making many jokes about the south, and Georgia Peaches, lol....his set was awesome, great response from the crowd too..Stevie looked SO HOT and thin in the pants, and they look much better than the pics have shown...The crowd went WILD when she came out
So some highlights, Stevie camed out looking awesome for OTR/Dreams, they went right into RHIANNON next..I was expecting ENCHANTED to be 3rd, but for some reason it came after Rhiannon..
She was ON FIRE..best I've EVER seen her. Got to meet some great people, nice blond headed lady in front of me took lots of video on her digital cam, I hope she's online somewhere.
SECURITY - SUCH BASTARDS TONIGHT. The guys in the white t shirts were nice, but maroon shirts were bitches. First the lady comes over to me and tries to take away my phone, and says "NO PICTURES, LEMME HAVE THE CAMERA" I'm like HELLO LADY IT'S A F-ING CELL PHONE?? So she didnt succeed of course.
In the beginning of the show the guard told us during Edge the first 5 rows would be allowed to come up, so when the drum solo started, about 10 or so of us went up...and were stopped in our tracks, by this asshole guard. Me and him actually got into an argument, he said "He didnt know what we were doing, she doesnt greet fans" So everyone pleaded, and fussed, so he said GO BACK TO YOUR SEATS FOR NOW, so I went all the way back to my site (sorry if anyone here is the ones I kept having to walk in front of) and as soon as I got back to my seat, they let us go up..so I jetted to the stage
Got a great spot at the stage, never been to the stage for Edge so I was thrilled....so she came down right in front of us, and I missed her hand, and then she came a little to the right of me, around the amp, and FINALLY I GOT TO TOUCH HER ...It was so amazing, grabbed her right hand, my life is complete now..
She was on fire..looked SO SO SMALL, It was amazing...she was ALIVE, Don was great--he was having a blast, dancing...
Jana or one of them f-ed up in Edge of 17 again..started too early, and Stevie seemed ticked, looked over to them, and just closed her eyes, and let them finish the line...
She did the great high kick in Stand Back, she was great...many many twirls, and headbangs throughout the night..great show...more tomorrow..tired
sorry if theres lots of typos

Great review Chris.
I am so happy that you finally were able to touch Stevie's hand. Okay I am jealous too! :)
I wonder if it was Jana messing up on Edge like she did in Vegas.
Hope somebody recorded the show.

I was directly across from the stage, just barely under the balcony.
:distress: The guitars were turned way up, and I think they turned them up louder for Stevie's set. It about crossed my eyes a few times!
 What was with the strobe light headlights? Man, we were BLINDED several times. I think a few people in our section actually went into epileptic seizures during Stand Back. Which was funny, because they used the same graphic from Vegas, but at a lower contrast, so it wasn't bright at all. It was actual lights that they used to blind us.
 The unicorns have been kinda washed out, but were still there in a shadowy kind of way. Since the screen is divided into 5 sections, when the shadows were projected, they looked more like dogs than horses, because the image was spread out with space inbetween. We no longer have unicorn rumps running away from us. Yay!
 You know you are getting old when instead of holding up lighters, the people around you hold up and wave cell phones with their bright screens at the stage.
 I was very impressed with Don Henley. His set was really tight and the sound was great. He was really struggling to hit the notes, and I think his voice actually was giving out at the end. Desperado is back.
 Stevie was just INCREDIBLE during Don's set. Sounded good, was singing in a higher register, just fantastic. Are we so hungry to hear her do something new and different that when she does it, we are completely enchanted with her?
:distress: During her own set, the sound wasn't as great. The guitar was way too loud, and she wasn't clear thru OTR/D/R. Comparing what she sang with Don compared to her own stuff, that she is holding back on her own. She could let loose a bit more and not dial her singing down as much as she does.
:blob2: Circle Dance and SYWTBARRS both need to be singles. What great songs for both of them.
:blob2: BatB was nailed again! What an incredible song! And, just like in Vegas, there was some a$$ behind me yelling "Let's get it on!" and "Nail it!" thru the song. She was not shown at all on the monitors, so we didn't get to see her emotion. She sure sounded like she was crying at the end.
Don was really pushing to get GDW and SDMHA out.
 I couldn't tell who messed up on Edge. It sounded like she did, but someone closer to the stage can tell for sure.
The crowd didn't really warm up until Hotel California was played. After that, I'd say the applause was about even for both of them.

Forget the small mess up on EO17 - how about how LOUD the harmony was on the chorus of Rhiannon - I was damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was an unforgettable night though. I must say La Nicks was on fire and she actually pranced a few times on stage and shruuged her shoulders a la the Tusk tour at least once. Small things I know - but cool nonetheless
Don's set was great but sadly my back went out right before it started and I spent most of it hunched over
Gwinett is a great arena as far as the space, but security is so "them fancy Atlanta folks are a comin' up here to the country and we are gonna show them liberals a thing or two"
All in all - I had a great time and I thank her for that performance becuase we have not seen her like that since IMO the SA tour.
I also must say, she has lost weight and looks great!!!!!!
BTW - is it me - or has the B&B cloak been shortened

. . . The crowd didn't really warm up until Hotel California was played. After that, I'd say the applause was about even for both of them.
I know - I almost felt sorry for Don - but clearly he knew that they were there to see La Nicks - and that is somewhat sad to me because DOn is a HUGE talent - but he lacks La Nicks' over the top stage presence
Also, to be fair, when she walked out with him during GDW - the crowd reacted hugely to him.
Finally, their stage antics are cool and she seems genuinely to like him and you could feel that.

I just got back from the show and the obligatory after-show trip to Waffle House :) , and I agree with Chris-----> The show was just great and Stevie was ON FIRE :] - it was my first solo Stevie show, and it couldn't have been better. I could tell there were quite a few Don fans there, but it seemed to me everyone understood the highlight of the evening would be Stevie's set. I LOVED hearing her sing on Don's songs- she sounded awesome and was hitting all the high notes- I was almost brought to tears on "New York Minute"- this was MY Stevie, and SHE IS BACK----I kept getting images of her in the Bella Donna video, because she looks and sounds SO GOOD!
I did enjoy Don's set, especially "Dirty Laundry" and of course the songs Stevie sang on, but nothing can compare to Ms. Stevie. OTR was great, the best way to open a Stevie show, great ending. I have no idea how she sings Dreams with any passion or emotion whatsoever anymore after singing it, what, probably 1000 times ?, but she somehow manages- its still great live. I was also expecting Enchanted afterward, but instead came Rhiannon with a cool little new (?) extended Piano intro. I know its not what it used to be, but she can still rock this sucker OUT! And I LOVE the drawings and graphics on the screen- they really enhance the song.
Enchanted was a blast, and it was really cool hearing Don sing on GDW- he actually does most of the outro after "go hooooooooommmmmmeee". Don did great singing on SDMHA. Circle Dance was nice, and Stand Back rocked out as always- lots of actual spins along with a really cool graphic of her spining in the background- maybe from LIB? BATB was great to hear, very heartfelt and strong, although some of the background images from the film seemed a little corny- I think I might have even heard a few people laughing  Oh, and did anyone else notice an additional background singer come out on this song?
Next was my first EO17 experience! The percussion solos at the beginning were great- Taku can rock out and the new drummer is really good too. I love how Waddy cames from the side of the stage and does his riff and rocks out with the other two for a while until Stevie, Sharon, and Jana come out. Anyway, it totally rocked, great growl, and I am DIGGING the ending vocals on this tour!
The encores with Don were great, HUGE reaction to Leather and Lace, and i don't think I've ever heard SYWBARARS before, its a great little song and a great way to end the show- Stevie was totally rockin' the tambo on this one!
So overall, the show was just incredible- I would have paid to just see Stevie, so seeing Don was just like an added bonus. Stevie is looking and sounding the best she has in years- gone are the days are the hideous "Victorian Grandmother" top of the SYW tour! I really hope I can go to one of her Gold Dust shows- anyone want to organize a Georgia-to-somewhere- Ledgie roadtrip ? Of course it wouldn't surprise me if she was back in Atlanta in the next few months
SO glad I was able to go and hope everyone had a great time and got out of the parking lot hell- this is why suburbia does NOT work people
Rock on Stevie!!!
:wavey: adam :wavey:
p.s. I really love some of the shirts- I got the one with the L & L single cover- although the coolest ones were the women's tops

I'm eternally grateful to I LOVE ALL ACCESS , which got me 5th row seats..and I only used the 4 star...it looked like ALL of the front row was 5 star people..
I also noticed about the blinding lights from behind the stage..every so often one would shine RIGHT in my eyes..lol..
It was a wild night, and incredibly fun...except for security, who I'm still mad at..they even made a little girl get off her seat, she was probly 5 years old, not blocking anyones view - they were all "HELLO NO STANDING ON SEATS"
There was no "velvet rope" before the stage as some Don fans had mentioned there would be...
I loved Stevie's graphics, very cool...her and Don interacted A LOT last night..he kissed her on the cheek many times, and forehead..
He was VERY talkative during his set, asking the audience how to pronounce GWINNETT , "is it it gwin-it..or gwen-net" so everyone yelled out the correct pronunciation...
Everyone could not believe how good she looked all night, obviously has lost some weight since SYW tour which she mentioned a lot during the band intros saying so and so "just came off the mammoth 135 shows of the fleetwood mac tour.." she said about Jana "and I hate to say it, but she just came off only HALF of 135 Fleetwood Mac shows.." She seemed to get emotional when introducing Waddy too
Lots of hip swaying, she did the hula dance in Dreams, which everyone loved...

I agree with everything said. la Nicks was on fire, security was hell.
I didn't take many pictures at all because people around me (F5) were actually getting escorted out by multiple guards. Geez.
But I am so glad to have seen one of the Nicks/Henley shows. I felt the great performance on Hotel California was alone worth the price of admission. And Don was much looser than previous show reports indicate. Overall, it was a great show.
The lady in front of me asked her husband about every five minutes "can we go now" and I was hoping he would take her home, but he didn't give in until the very end. Oh well.

Glad you guys had a great time. We have been telling you how fantastic she looks!
Question...did she get emotional during BaTB and Circle Dance? In Hershey the tears were flowing during Beauty. Circle Dance also seemed to sap her emotionally, she sang with such passion and intensity. In Vegas during BatB she was very dramatic and into the performance .....the vibe was different in Hershey. The drama was there but there was such an underlying sadness to the song for me, especially in her voice and eyes. I cried in Vegas because I was so blown away...I cried in Hershey because of the emotion I was feeling from Stevie. How would you describe her in Atlanta?
BTW...who screwed up Edge? Jana did in Vegas.
Also...how fun is SYWBARRS? She and Don are so tight on the vocals and it is such an upbeat way to end the show.
Anyone notice if Don tossed in the reference to Cheney in End of Innocence? Bizarre..

Kelly - I noticed no emotion during either - but I was very far from the stage. She did not seem sad at all in the concert though - she did, however, sing B&B with a vengance

She really got into BATB but Circle Dance I think went over well also...Not near as much crowd chatter during it, atleast in my section than I had anticipated based on reviews and bootlegs... She looked SO stunning during BATB tho... I dont know who screwed up on Edge..could've been Stevie, couldve been Jana..regardless the background singers started before Stevie, and Stevie started to sing.. and looked over at them, and just closed her eyes and kinda shook her head, and let them finish out the line...That was the only time in the whole show I saw annoyance in Stevie, haha
She got emotional when introducing Waddy...and Carlos...and I also noticed when she introduced the new drummer she yelled "WE CHOOSE YOU!!" and ran over to him and pointed at him, I didnt know if that was some kind of inside joke or something, I figured it was.
She looked happier, and more alive and full of energy than I have ever seen her personally--although my first tour was TISL

Everytime I go to read one of these reviews, I think, I can't possibly get anymore psyched or excited than I already am... But holy!! I am SO looking forward to tomorrow night!!
Great reviews everyone - I think I'm most anticipating "There she stood in the doorway..." Silly, I know, but everytime I listen to the boots, it sends shivers down my spine when the applause come up. I can't wait to see it in person!
I know DTE is evil about security and photos, but I'll try to grab some pictures on my cell phone. I'm 5th row, so hopefully they'll be sort of okay.

And here's my "full review" :
Hello. I have to say this show was amazing, except for the asshole security though. Don's set was really good, I had never seen him live, and at first was only really going to see Stevie, but by the end of the show was also mesmorized by one Mr. Don Henley also.
Although I didn't know the words to "The Genie" I thought Don did an excellent job of it. His second song "Witchy Woman" really got the crowd pumped, and I couldn't help but think of Stevie when he was singing this song. Stevie came out during Don's fourth tune "Hotel California" to much applause. She came out wearing a long skirt/shirt over skin tight pants with studs on the sides, completed with platform boots. She looked great, and has obviously lost a lot of weight since the Fleetwood Mac tour.
They sounded great on "Hotel California" "New York Minute" and I thought especially "The Last Worthless Evening." During the "time time ticking away" Stevie was doing these hand motions with her fingers back and forth that everyone in the audience seemed to be mocking, including myself. So Stevie left with a big wave, and Don said "She'll be back."
I don't remember the exact order of Don's set but the highlights for me were "End of the Innocence," "Heart of the Matter," "Life in the Fast Lane," "Desperado," and "Dirty Laundry." Dirty Laundry really got the crowd pumped. The fans would put up when Don pointed up during "kick em with their up" and point down, was really fun. He seemed to be having a blast.
During his "encore" he said "We're gonna do a few more songs for you, so we aren't gonna do any of that bullshit where we leave and you all scream and we come back.." so I thought that was funny.
He was in fine voice, and looked great. I personally had not seen much of him since the Hell Freezes Over DVD, except a few of his performances with Stevie here and there...but I much prefer his spiked short hair on him, than that greasy mess from Hell Freezes Over. I surprisingly really enjoyed his set, and didn't want to see it end. I met a few very cool Eagles/Henley fans, and had some nice chats--they were asking all kinds of Stevie questions, "How old is she?" "What songs will she sing?" Etc etc
I thank I LOVE ALL ACCESS who scored me 5TH ROW center tickets, through the 4-star package. I very much expected to have like row 20 since that is all you are guaranteed with the 4-star package. The pen sets were also very cool.
So Don left after "Desperado" which was just fantastic, one of the best versions I've heard of it..and there was probably a 15 minute intermission. They took down a lot of the stage, and rotated Stevie's bands' drumsets around.. It was interesting to see how quick those guys are.
So the lights dim and "Bootilicious" by Destiny's Child is played over the loud speakers. This got some screams when it first came on, for the obvious reason that it samples the riff from Stevie's "Edge of Seventeen." After that the new "Dreams" remix played over the speakers, which features new and recently recorded vocals by Ms. Nicks. During the remix we saw the band enter the stage in the dark, Waddy Wachtel was obvious with his trademark long curly hair. I have to say Waddy's guitar playing sounded superb last night.
So the beat to "Outside the Rain" began, and the lights came on and there came Stevie from the wings with her flowing black dress, leg warmers, and sneakers on. Her hair was blowing in the wind from the fans on the stage, and she looked radiant. I could tell some of the Henley fans didn't really recognize this song, but us Nicks fans of course did because she's opened with this song for every solo tour except two. This was an amazing vocal performance by Stevie, especially when she bent her mic down to wail the line "well is there anyone else in this whole wide world that could ever replace me?!? " which the crowd loved. Outside the Rain, as usual led directly into "Dreams" which garnered much applause, as everyone seemed to know this song of course. Stevie did a funky hula dance thing in the middle of "Dreams" which I had read about in a lot of the reviews, and was an absolute trip to see. After "Dreams" she said "Welcome ATLANTA GEORGIA!" and punched her fist into the air.
After this song was "Rhiannon," which at first I was disappointed to hear because she had been doing "Enchanted" after "Dreams" so I thought she had dropped it, but no it came after Rhiannon last night. "Rhiannon" was great, she came out in her trademark winged top for this song, She hit all the notes, better than she has done in years, punching her fist into the air near the end. "Enchanted" was a blast as always, Stevie grabbed her tambourine and rocked out to this Wild Heart album classic. (I also noticed that Don plays A LOT of tambourine in his solo shows, I never knew that!) After this song she went back to change again, and she and Don came out for "Stop Draggin my Heart Around" which was great. Although I love Waddy's guitar playing, I think Don sounds much better filling in for Tom Petty's parts than Waddy! This song went over well, the crowd loved it, Stevie and Don sang it to eachother and seemed to be having a blast together.
Next was "Gold Dust Woman" a classic song, and one of my all time favorite Stevie/Mac songs. Don began the song with the line "Rock on Gold Dust Woman..." which I thought was odd, but cool. I just remember thinking how cool but kinda weird it was for Don Henley to be singing a Fleetwood Mac song. Stevie watches Don a lot when he sings I noticed, and mouths the words he's singing away from the mic, which is cool to watch. She was great also in this one, had her gold shawl on (for you Nicks fans reading this shawl is different than the usual "Gold Dust Woman" shawl). She did the wail in the middle of the song "and go hooooooooomeeeeee" etc. Don sang the ending also "Ooh pale shadow, of a woman." and Stevie in the end did the "baby baby baby baby..you cant see me now, you should see me now" which first made it's appearance in Vegas in May, and I love.
In the end of "Gold Dust Woman" Don and Stevie slowed danced while the band played, and Don lifted her arm to twirl Stevie, and she twirled in circles while holding onto his right hand. Very nice!
Next was "Circle Dance" which I loved. Stevie introduced it as a song she had loved, and was just so sure Don Henley wouldn't like it, but he loved it too, and they decided to do it. She said "Thank You Bonnie" to Bonnie Raitt who wrote the song, before they began. Listening to the bootlegs I was expecting to hear a lot of crowd chatter during this one, but fortunately did not. Everyone sat during this one, but they all seemed to be atleast watching/listening.
Stevie then said "Don Henley!" he bowed and walked off the stage. Stevie then introduced the band, which she always does. I can't remember her new pianists' name, but he was very good. She introduced Sharon Celani as "Sharona" as she always does and said she was "their teacher, without her we couldnt do this every night, literally." Brett Tuggle on keyboards and according to Stevie "Whatever else we can make him play" haha. She talked a lot about the 135 shows from 03-04 Fleetwood Mac just did during the band intros, everytime she introduced someone who was also on that tour, like Brett Tuggle, Carlos Rios, background singers, and Taku Hirano. She did mention that backup singer Jana Anderson only did HALF of the 135 shows.
She mentioned that Carlos Rios was someone who "when I wasn't doing so well" helped her stand, when she didn't think she could anymore. I have to say Waddy got the biggest applause, and it's obvious Stevie adores him also. So, Stevie left the stage to change again..and the drum solo to "STAND BACK" began, which I was excited to hear.
When the synthesizers began the crowd went wild, and rose to their feet and Stevie came out in her polka dot "Stand Back" shawl dancing away. She did the great high kick in the end of the song, which was great and walked off stage right after kicking (obviously to change clothes again!). She then came out for "Beauty and the Beast" wearing the awesome black gown she's been wearing for this, which is off the shoulder, and her hair pulled up into a bun. She sounded magnificent on this. It was also cool seeing the clips of the old black and white Beauty and the Beast film projected behind her, that made for a cool effect. She was absolutely radiant, and really got into this one, with her vocals.
When this was over, the drum solo for "Edge of Seventeen" began, and as the security guards with the white shirts had told us in the beginning, Stevie requested that the first 6 rows be allowed to come to the stage during "Edge of Seventeen." Well there was a lot of confusion over that, some big headed guard in a maroon shirt kept pushing us back and saying "GO BACK TO YOUR SEATS, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" (Sorry to all the people I kept having to walk in front of.) I know the Henley fans didn't know what was going on, but this is a 20+ year tradition for Stevie fans, but some security seemed oblivious to it. He was a complete ass, and I ended up getting into a altercation with him. He told us to go back to our seats, which I thought was stupid, to make us walk in front of everyone, and squeeze back to our seats--and of course within 30 secs to do it again, after the let the fans come up. It's not like we were bombarding the stage, the security had already told us that we could come up, but this guy didn't seem to know that this drum solo was even for Edge of Seventeen I guess. So I got up there, and my oh my was it amazing up there. "Edge of 17" rocked hard, Stevie did the scream in the middle, and was literally jumping and shaking her shoulders throughout the song. Waddy as usual sounded fantastic. At one point in the song one of the backup singers messed up and came in too early which obviously annoyed Stevie, and she kind of shook her head and just closed her eyes and let them finish out that line. She wore a cream colored skirt, with a black top, and black duster type thing, she looked so good.
So Stevie did usual "Edge of 17" stage walk/fan greet in the end, and came to my section, and I couldn't reach her hand, for the stupid lady security guard who insisted on having her back up against the stage in my way (Sorry I'm bitter over Atlanta security last night!)...but then Stevie came to the right of me and I moved down some and got to grab her hand. That was an amazing, my life is now complete. I have been trying to do this for YEARS..And I did, she's so awesome. So after Edge security made us go back to our seats, and Stevie and Don came back out (yes Stevie had changed again)..the fans erupted when they came out hand in hand. She said something like "this is a song we do you might remember" or something. I called my aunt during it and let her hear, it was an aamzing performance, lots of Don/Stevie interaction during it. They closed with "So You Wanna Be A Rock n Roll Star" which I didn't think would be that good, but surprisingly is a great ending.
It really works for these two huge rock stars to close with this..singing in sequence "so you wanna be a rock n roll star, listen now to what I say..." like they are the Professors of Rock, was kinda cool, the lyrical meaning there. I loved it. I know Stevie played tambourine during it, I think Don did too I'm not sure. But they both rocked out, and sounded awesome together. In the end, they said thanks and Stevie, Don and Stevie's band all bowed, and left the stage--I was sad to see them go.
I really don't hate security guards I promise, I've usually had great experiences with them, but it just seemed in Atlanta they were over the top. Some guard lady tried to take away my cell phone during "New York Minute" and came over to me to say "let me have the camera, no pictures, let me have it" I was like "LOOK LADY IT'S A CELL PHONE!" and held it up to her, idiot. She was also the one who told the little 5 yr old girl to not stand on the seat, as if she was even blocking anyone's view.
Overall this is probably my favorite concert ever, and I've been to many. The feeling and vibe was just great, and I really felt like I got my money's worth seeing two huge stars on one stage. Don has really loosened up a lot it seems since the first few shows. It was an amazing show. Thanks Don and Stevie!

I love Larry the Cable Guy. I saw him when he came to Buffalo, and my throat hurt afterwards from all the laughing. Its great that Don said that, but Stevie saying that would've been HILARIOUS. It would be so weird hearing those words out of her mouth.

Sorry, Strandie. I guess, then, you were just the same height as everyone else? :wavey:
Hope you're ok soon.

I also forgot to mention that at one point in Henley's set he said "Let's get err done!"
Well that nails it, I hate Don Henley.
:laugh::laugh:
But seriously, I'm sick of that shit.

At the Knoxville TN FM show in 2003, a security guard wouldn't let my then-5-year-old stand up in her seat ON THE FLOOR. Like you said....as if she'd really be blocking someone's view! In Birmingham, Al they were asses too. Maybe it's just in the south?
Aaaaaaaannnd.....to any of you who live in or around the Atlanta area....I salute you....or offer you my extreme sympathy! How do you deal with the hell that is the Atlanta traffic on a daily basis without becoming completely insane? I will never complain about traffic in B'ham again! Sheebus!
But...Stevie more than made up for our lousy experience on the interstate! She sounded wonderful, she looked radiant, and my daughter, my mom, and I were completely in awe of her, especially during B&B. Wow! My absolute favorite moment. I loved her interaction with Don. She seemed so into her whole set and the audience as well. So different than with Fleetwood Mac. My daughter said that she "looks so tiny up there all by herself." Yeah, she did, but she belted 'em out! I was very impressed with Don, too!
We had seats in section 108. I didn't want the same thing to happen to my daughter again with the "no standing up in your chair" incident. I knew that this way she'd be able to see. But...can I just ask one question? How in the hell can people just sit...just sit and not get up and dance at least to Stand Back or Edge??? So.....sorry people behind me....my daughter and I stood up and danced during those 2 songs, while you were back there talking...like you did during the ENTIRE show! And my daughter stood up during Rhiannon. She wore a shawl so that she could spin around like "Miss Stevie" does during that song. Next time, I'll get us on the floor. We gotta dance!
So...we fought the Atlanta traffic again after lunch today, and we made it home.....again...my sympathies, people.

Chris, between yours, Paula's and Kelly's reviews, I really feel like I'm right there with you. You guys seriously rock almost as much as Stevie! I'm learning a lot about how to write good reviews so when it's my turn, I can do you proud. :D
Despite what's been said, Don seems like a really cool guy. I love the line about not going backstage and making everyone scream only to come back out and sing some more bullshit. I feel like, as friends, this tour has brought them closer together (because he's really loosened up and maybe they'll find it in their kind hearts to do it again next year and this time, hit the west coast! I actually got emotional reading this review. I'm such a f*cking sap!
Oh, does anyone else get the feeling Jana annoys Stevie?

To me, it doesn't seem they are all that close. In the questions Jana gets asked about Stevie, she just keeps them VERY generic. Who cares if she doesn't like her, I don't like her either! :sorry:

Do you really? I don't dislike Jana at all. I haven't really talked to her, but she seems really nice and she's a good singer. I thought Stevie might have been annoyed because of the review and it seemed like Jana had screwed up on Edge.

Well, this is the second time I have typed this post, because I had it finished. Then, the site logged me out for some reason. I’m so upset. I had like two pages of review before I was logged off! Anyway, I’ll try to remember what I can about what I typed during my first erased post. Here goes:
My best friend and I just got back from Atlanta. We had to stay overnight due to the fact that we live three and half hours away in Tennessee. I agree with most of the observations made by the previous posters, so I’ll just add a few other things that I thought or noticed from the show.
First, I would just like to say that the show was just terrific! Stevie seemed to have so much energy, looked so healthy and fit, and just seemed all around happier and more relaxed than she did on the SYW tour. It looks like she has had time to rest and rejuvenate, which is wonderful!
Don Henley was really a treat. I haven’t seen him except with the Eagles, so it was really special to hear his solo stuff live. His voice quality is great. His voice hasn’t change, since he started in the business. I think he is still singing everything in the same key! Don made several, cute comments to the crowd during his set in a southern accent; to the effect of, “Ya’ll had a cool, wet, spring, so ya’ll don’t have any peaches. Well, except for the ones in the audience, and I’m too old for that. You don’t have any dumaters either; that is how you say it, right?” It was funny. He also stated it was great to be back in the South.
I love how Stevie and Don interacted with each other. They were really playful! Don kissed Stevie’s cheek, forehead, and hand several times throughout the show. :xoxo: They whispered to each other during non-vocal parts and in between songs. During the end of “Last Worthless Evening,” Don came up behind Stevie and hugged her for along time. I thought that was really sweet. I really love the slow dance that they did during the instrumental part of “GDW,” and the way he grabbed a part of her shawl to take “her lace” during “Leather and Lace.” I thought their best duet was “NY Minute,” because Stevie was really singing her part of that song like she had lived it. It was awesome to see that they still seem to have chemistry after all these years.
Stevie’s set was just all around fabulous! The highlight of the evening to me was “Beauty and the Beast.” It was heavenly! She hit every note perfectly. I was blown away. Not only did she sound terrific, but she also looked stunning in her black velvet, off the shoulder (almost) cape and her hair up in a jewel-covered barrette. To my friend and I, her cape looked Elizabethan. But what made it truly perfect was the fact that she played the 1946 French movie, La Belle et La Bete on the screens behind her. I just loved, loved, loved that, since she whispers “La Belle et La Bete” at the very end of “Beauty and the Beast”(at about 5:30 if anyone is interested). It was just perfection, and I didn’t think it was at all corny. I also loved the fact that they placed a candelabra on the piano during this song. Nice added touch.
Also, I noticed that she used a picture during "Rhiannon" which I thought was a picture of the Rhiannon, the Welsh Witch. Does anyone know for sure? I'm pretty sure; it was, but I thought someone else might know for sure.
I agree with everyone on the security issues! OMG, the guards were being sooooo mean. Here is a possible reason why they might have been even more anal-retentive than usual: During the last part of Don’s set, I look up to the side seats nearest to the floor by the stage on the right side, and I see this guy who looks like the comedian Ron “Tatersalad” White. During intermission, my question was answered; it was him! He had several security guards from the arena around him. I guess a famous comedian equal @ssH&le guards!
At least they let us up there FINALLY for the Edge of 17! I noticed that the guard told two guys in front of me that it was finally okay to go, so my best friend and I followed them. My friend and I made our way just to the right of Stevie’s microphone stand. (I was so surprised that she didn't have her mic stand decorated with flowers as usual. She only had draping rhinestones.). It was wonderful to be sooo close to Stevie. As she came around to shake hands with the fan, I was praying that I would have at least have one moment with her. She came to my section (to the right of her microphone), and luckily I got to shake her and say “hi” to her. I thought it was so sweet of her to greet the fan! That really made my world. I just wish I could have gotten her to sign my Buckingham Nicks album. I have Lindsey’s signature on it, but I don’t have Stevie’s on it. That would have made my concert world even more complete.
I think that everyone should try to go see them on tour, because it would be a different experience than seeing her solo (which I plan to try to do this tour as well, if possible). It was truly a special night. I only wish that I could have shared it with some Ledgies! Only negatives: (1) the background vocals at the beginning of Stevie's set were too loud, but they did fix the problem before the end of the set. (2) I was displeased because very few people stood up for "Beauty and the Beast," "Enchanted," and "Outside the Rain." There were a few of us diehard fans standing! (3) Hopefully, next time I can. :blob2: :blob1: :blob2: :blob1: Otherwise, like I said special and perfection!
Edit/Afterthought: I got the 4 star ILoveAllAccess.com package. We sat on the Fifth Row Floor(F1), Seat 7 and 8. I noticed that a lot of us were sitting in the fifth row based on our reviews. I was really pleased with my seats and the cute pen set.

Chris
Glad that you did well with All Access!
I did not see a velvet rope at the Mansfield show myself.
That is too bad about the security. I think that the job goes to their head sometime. I really can't see the big deal if you are taking pictures without any flash if Don is bothered by the bright light.

I'm finally settled in and well rested to give you my take on the concert.
First off the big sign outside the venue that said NO Cameras, pfff please... They didn't even check my purse. I have never ever had my camera taken away from me at any concert and I've been to 15 different concerts. But I only took 4 pics and 2 videos cause my battery was low.
I had 8th row and Steph and Suzanne had 4th, so before the show started I went and sat with them. Well these 2 seats stayed empty until after Stevie finished her songs with Don, then they showed up and after about 10 mins he was like why is the seating messed up, someones not supposed to be here (I was mushed in between Steph and Suz). So that was my que to go back to my seat. Oh well....
I must say I throughly enjoyed Don, but I don't throughly enjoy his fans. We had to compete for tickets with them first of all. So I never want a double bill again. One thing that really ticked me off and it may not have been just Don fans. But the drum intro for Stand Back starts, I immediately stand up with a few other people. Not until she comes out and sings that first note did anyone else acknowledge what song it was! :distress: Also this lady sitting in front of us turned around and said I think those people are here for Stevie. What do you mean those people?! Also people that were on the floor leaving before the concert was finished! WTF??
Now about Stevie! My favorite song she did was Hotel CA. She sounded so amazing and was the cutest thing I had ever seen.
She did do the Stand Back kick according to Steph and Suz but somehow I missed it.
During Edge it was Stevie that messed up, she came in on the wrong part.
Also other people commented how she seemed to be out of it a little. Very mechanical during the hand shakes, her eyes were half shut most of the time. But who knows she still kicked ass.
Also I tried to get up to the stage from both ends of my aisle but no luck. So I stood on the far right side of the aisle, directly in front of Stevie's mic. And if she can see 8 rows up right in front of her then we had some major eye contact. If she could see me I was her to know that I was enjoying the show and I think she is the shit.
When she introduced Carlos, she said something to the effect of, "this man has been by my side to hold me up when I couldn't stand" Very touching.
Then when she introduced Waddy she said " we have been together since 1971....can't remember what she said after that but then in a really low, sexy voice she said "You remember".
Overall fantastic show, but now I can't wait just to have Stevie to look forward to. And I'll have the pics up soon and if some can host my videos I would appreciate it. One is 30 secs. the other 1 min and 30 secs.

Ron White is part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. The one with the Cable Guy, etc. He is the guy on the far right. He was at the concert with his wife.

Thanks, I was really happy that I did get to touch her, because all I could think when I got to the stage during "Edge of 17" was: "There are too many people down here. I'm never going to be able to touch her." I was very, very pleasantly surprised! :blob2: :blob1: :blob2: :blob1:

I have never had my camera taken away at a show either but in Hershey I was shocked when my girls had to take theirs out to the friggin car!
In Hershey the comment she made to Waddy was something like "I have known him since 1971...." and then she looked at him, laughed and said "you remember!" I guess he remembers all they have been through, Stevie before she was famous, blah blah.
Glad you had a good time Brit. I hope Stevie keeps up the happiness when Don leaves...I am looking forward to her solo shows but I really enjoyed hearing her sing new stuff. I have heard OTR/Dreams, Rhiannon, etc so many times now I really liked hearing her branch out. Her vocals on HC, NYM and LWE are "to die for".

I  Stevie was just INCREDIBLE during Don's set. Sounded good, was singing in a higher register, just fantastic. Are we so hungry to hear her do something new and different that when she does it, we are completely enchanted with her?
Of course!
