I just created a new site (http://www.geocities.com/smacdoug). Hopefully, it will be available soon. It's on Geocities, and we all know how that goes.

Anyway, I have a few cool downloads from albums that are no longer in-print. Of interest to this board are "Only You" from Danny Kirwan's "Hello There, Big Boy" album and "Remember Me" from "Bob Welch & Friends: Live From The Roxy."

Okay, now it's up and running.

Yeah, I guess whenever I update the site, I can expect it to go down for about an hour.

Sorry Steve. Only three of your downloads work.

Well, hopefully everything will work once everything gets settled. Since I keep adding new things (like the two Christine McVie songs that are actually Fleetwood Mac: "Can't Help Falling In Love" and "Roll With Me Henry"), that may be a while. I'm using three Geocities accounts, so it appears that things will be bumpy in the beginning.

 I'm listening to Danny's Only You from Steve's downloadpage.. can't say I like this version. Much prefer that live version.

Yeah, the horns take it a bit over the top for me. However, it does have a few good things going for it. I love the piano, organ, and funky wah-wah rhythm guitar. The slightly slower tempo is interesting, too. But the guitar solos are totally lame compared to the live versions.

WOW! I love the Remember Me version! I always forget how great the old songs are (Bob Welch-era) when I didn't listen to them in a long time!
Thank you for this! :woohoo:

EDIT: And how could I forget the "one...two...you know what to do" at the beginning?

It sounds better the second time I listen to it. Interesting, yeah. But compared the live version of 1970, this made me cringe a bit. Danny, Danny.

Hey just wanted to say thanks for putting up Chris' "Can't Help Falling in Love"...it's so sweet, just smooth as honey. Love the mellow vocal. Love that gentle bassline.

I listened to it about 5 times in a row last night; it got me all relaxed and sleepy. :) Fleetwood Mac does Elvis quite well. :xoxo:

Thanks for the trouble of putting that site up. "Roll with me Henry" was incedible. Made my Saturday....Thanks again! :D
