View Full Version : Wondering how Stevie feels?

I was just looking at some of the photos from SYW concerts and the Henley/Nicks concerts and then having Waddy in her band too, how does Stevie concentrate on her job when she is surrounded by all these men that she had love affairs with? I mean it would be so odd for me to have to see old boyfriends again and have to work with them too   A few of those old feelings probably would come out if they did or said something to make me upset
I think it is cool that she is friends with them. I am still friends with one guy I dated back in high school but even that is uncomfortable to be around him since he is married to a nice lady and I am married to a great guy but I can't imagine being friends and working with all my ex's like Stevie does
Dumb question but thought I would ask anyway :)

I don't think it's a dumb question at all. I've often wondered the same. I know I'd personally have a hard time with it, too. I've dated five guys I've worked with (I obviously never learn), and I always feel very awkward and conspicuous (like everyone is watching our every interaction) after we've broken up. I think it says a lot about Stevie, and all her exes, that they can put the music before their hurt feelings or anger.
But, man, I'd love to sit and have a talk with her about it.

I often wonder what it is like for her too. She must just have very good friendships with these men, they must really respect each other and put the music first. I'd be paranoid though that they would be talking about me behind my back, you know, comparing anecdotes and *gulp* bedroom antics.
I definitely couldn't do it, on the few occasions that I've had to deal with more than one ex in the same room I have wanted to die!

The weirdest thing must be having to deal with all the shippers (like myself - although I'm more a realist) who would like it if she and Lindsey got back together. I mean the odds of becoming a famous rock star are pretty small, add in that you become one with your high school sweetheart and write songs about each other that become standards in classic rock. It's gotta be tough enough to live the soap opera that followed them for 30 years but to also have people like us gawking at them when they kiss and crossing our fingers that they'll run off together.
I would hate it if 30 years after I dumped him, everybody still wanted me to get back with my ex-boyfriend.

Well, it'd be different, if she herself hasn't thought about the same thing. Their are so many quotes from recent years..."Oh, Stevie you made a mistake!" that give the notion that she herself would like to be with Lindsey...
I am not a shipper though. I believe something went on during The Dance, and maybe some of Enchanted, but after that, nothing.
As for Stevie working with many of her exes, I don't know how she does it either. From what we've heard, many of the relationships didn't end well anyways, and for me, it'd be so uncomfortable. But I'm glad they can put those things aside, and still play great music together.
What really amazes me is how good of friends Stevie and Don are, even after the very personal stuff he told Vanity Fair about her. That just shows how forgiving she is, and maybe that's why she gets along so well with many of her exes.

this reminds me...does anyone have this Henley interview transcribed or know of a place online where it is located?

As per Don Henley, am I the only one who sees the difference between friendship and kissing a$$ ?

I'm still trying to figure out what the deal is currently with her and Waddy.. at every show this year, she's either refered to him as "the man in my life", "the love of my life", "my husband", etc... too much of the same kinda talk is leading me to believe that there is something there.. not to mention her "giddy, happy as can be" attitude lately... hmmmm :woohoo:

You must be kidding, right? The more she says stuff like that out in the open the more harmless it obviously is. Would Stevie be that blunt and hurt Waddy's wife's feelings, or does she just know it won't be taken seriously, so what's the harm? ;)

Ewww. I hate thinking of Stevie and Waddy together. EWWWW.
Oh......I saw the subject header and I was preparing a totally different answer. I was going to say that I think she probably feels hard and bony with a hairy covering on top and just below that....................well, you get the general idea of the joke.
