I am working on remixing Thrown Down using the DVD-A channels. Finally..something that sounds excellent! I have a sample of the lastest progress on the song and I will be updating it as I continue working on it. Hope you like it. Feedback would be great. I don't ever really get a lot of it but even if you think it sucks, just say somethin'. Peace

Is that the TISL demo you used there? Good job, I really like this one.

Thank you all! I actually took the dvd-a channels and mixed them with loops and stuff...its not hard to do at all. There is a Peacekeeper remix as well as a GYOW remix out there that was done the same way (I think) by using the dvd-a channels. This remix is taking me forever to complete but that is only because I want it to be perfect and it is still far from perfect...Is it even possible to be happy with your own work? I never seem to be happy with anything I make.

You know, I thought about remixing those on the TISL Demos...But her vocals were kinda iffy on there. The keyboard demo is definately better vocalwise than the "outtake"...but I really want to add her "you fell for her again, I watched it happen" part from the outtake in this remix...I might add it..I dunno why she didn't use that line for the SYW version. Thanks for the compliment :)

OH I LOVE IT!! We should collaborate. I wrote a video vignette (how do you spell that word?) for Thrown Down and have been tempted to grab my camcorder and a few friends and actually tape it. With your remix, we could have a nice underground fan video of Thrown Down!! whootwhoot :woohoo:

No No, this one is gonna be called Diva II oh yeah baby! HAHA...seriously I have no clue who came up with Diva Remixes but my crappy old songs were on there...it is hilarious...Diva isn't even in my vocabulary and it isn't something I would ever name my remixes or anyone elses. LOL

Jeremy, stop with the lies... everyone knows you consider yourself a 'Diva" in addition to naming all of your remixes "Diva this" and "Diva that"... you're not fooling anyone... :p

For some people it is very hard to be happy with their own work, their own voice, etc. Lindsey comes to mind... I think it sounds great. Are you saving different versions and not writing over the same one each time? I would. I admire your talent. What software program are you using? Just curious.

Are you using dial-up? I'm on DSL and it works fine.

I use Cool Edit Pro 2.0 to cut out the 8 counts of the song...I hate doing that cause it is time consuming...then I use Sonic Foundry ACID 4.0 to mix them together with loops...I have been doing it for like 5 years and I'm getting better but it will take awhile to master it..it is kinda rough. I love it a lot though.

Thanks, I'll check those out. I bought Rebirth several years ago and got demos of Steinberg Cubase Score and WaveLab with it. So I'm kinda familiar with what you're doing. I wanted to check out CakeWalk too. At one time I was trying to figure out how to hook up my keyboard to my soundcard via midi so I could do some stuff with Rebirth. I quickly got in over my head and decided it was all too complicated and didn't have the kind of time to devote to it that I'd like. I dabble too much. :D So, right on... keep up the good work! You rock!! Warehouse used to sell CDs of nothing but different people's mixes. I've got several mix master CDs. Heck, I even have one that I got for free when I bought a pair of Doc Martens. Have you considered contacting one of those distributors?
