Isn't it weird how Street Angel World Tour was on all the SA T-shirts?
So much for the world tour. . . . she should have kept touring

Wasn't the Street Angel tour in fact her shortest tour except for Bella Donna?

Timespace was fairly short as well, I think they are both tied. I think that SA was her worst selling tour though

which is sad because I thought she was great on the SA tour. Her voice sounded good and she jammed.

Agreed.
The Street Angel tour will always have a place in my heart, since it was the first time I saw La Nicks. I was all of 11 and went with my mom. :o

I'll have to disagree with you there David. I just couldn't get into BlueDenim on that tour. Maybe it was because of where it was placed in the set. I have no idea.
But yes I love this tour. I just got the Houston 9-9-94 show in and its one of my favorites now! She dedicated Maybe Love to Sandy Stewart and is vocally powerful. She is so pumped for this show, and she is SO CHATTY.
I still think that No Spoken Word should have stayed in the set. I liked it more than the Red Rocks version.

Weren't you like 5 years old during the Street Angel tour?
i was supposed to go to the SPAC show in Saratoga, NY but there were horrendous storms and the show was cancelled.
I had no back up plan. :(
I regret it now cause I have some bootlegs and she was on fire like the RAL tour.

You're right -- the Houston SA show was great! And Sandy was actually in the audience that night, and gave a sheepish wave when Stevie announced her (which they showed on the vid screens for about .00005 seconds  ).
I nearly died when she busted out "The Chain" as an encore. Obviously, this was the Dark Ages before the Net, and the setlist was a complete surprise. Also during this show, Stevie took her mic off the stand, walked to the edge of the stage, and leaned down to sing part of an encore to someone. (Coulda been "Edge", but I think that was during "The Chain" also...). The first time I have *ever* seen her do that in all the many shows I've attended since '83.

Was that the only concert she played The Chain in?

Actually, I think that the average attendance was just slightly higher on the Street Angel tour. Seems like I read that...Pollstar maybe?

I was supposed to go to that show too. I lived in Saratoga at the time. There were actually tornadoes that touched down in the state park that day. SPAC cancelled the show, and it was the only show in their history that they cancelled rather than the artist. Luckily I was able to get tickets to the Garden State Arts Center (now pnc) in NJ for August. The seats weren't as good, but it was a good show.

wow....what a coincidence! i was gonna say the thing about the tornadoes but i couldn't remember 100% if that was the case. My brain is getting hazier as I creep slowly towards 35 very soon. Anyway, I actually just remembered today that I drove all the way up there. See, I live about 2 hours south of SPAC so the weather was completely different where I lived. Anyway, as I was approaching the venue, I noticed how there wasn't a lot of traffic the night of a show.
Did you happen to see the 1989 show there? I was there. Stevie's hasn't played there since.

I'm constantly amazed at how artists call their tour a "world tour" - have these people ever looked at a map of the world?
I am from South Africa, where Mac and Nicks concerts would have been sold out many times over if they'd bothered to swing by. Other big artists (U2, Stones, Bon Jovi, etc, etc) have toured successfully, but others seem to forget that there's an entire continent between USA and Australia.... world tour, yeah right!

The SA tour was a big downer for me for many reasons, but the thing I remember most was that she kept messing up the lyrics. Both Blue Denim and Docklands were all over the place. And if she wasn't singing, she was not onstage. It was a hot Summer night at the Chastian Amphitheater in Atlanta. Very sad...

It was a downer for me as well for many reasons (was 1994 a good year for anyone???) Stevie, imo didn't look well, Jones Beach was half empty, and the crowd didn't really seem to be into her show that much... It seemed at that time that Stevie Nicks had sung her last song... then came The Dance.. :woohoo:
