I can't believe NoTS is a week away! Mariel (xxxMx) and I went together last year and we had a blast. Anyone else definitely going?
The two of us are going to meet some fellow-Stevie fan friends ahead of time at a bar near the Knitting Factory for a few drinks and to practice some twirling. :blob1: Anyone who's going is welcome to join us...
DETAILS: We're going to meet at the Nancy Whiskey Pub. It's a fun, dive-y corner bar (literally on the corner, actually) with cheap drinks and a mellow crowd. Mariel and I will probably get there between 7 and 7:30 and hang out until we head over the the Knit (it's a reasonable walk.) It would be cool to meet some fellow ledgies for a few drinks and some conversation. :)

Feel free to PM Mariel or me if you want to come. (We can exchange cell numbers.)

no one goes to NOTS alone! we're discussing where we want to meet, matt has made a few great suggestions. tentative plans have us meeting up near the Knitting Factory around 7:00/7:30. we'll be a'posting in a few days after decisions are made. are you dressing up?

not necessarily dressing up like stevie's twin, though definitely going to look 'inspired' - there will be no wig, that's for sure. matt went lindsey-ish last year, just please don't go as mick...

I'll be there, for sure. How could I not? I live only a 10 minute subway ride away from there. It would be great to maybe be able to meet up with some Ledgie's for a cocktail or two...

Maybe it was someone with a similar screen name. This is the first time I've ever planned to go, but I am definitely looking forward to being there.

ahh, it was SNROX - no "L"... close! me and matt are going to chat tonight about where we're going pre-nots. he suggested the Nancy Whiskey Pub and i am inclined to agree with him. i'm just going to check to make sure that people who aren't familiar with the area will be able to find it.

I can't believe NoTS is getting so close...should be a great time, especially with Debbie Harry coming. I'm glad there's a bunch of people coming, despite the fact that Vegas is so close :)
Like I said, Mariel (xxxMx) and are hanging out ahead of time and would love to meet some fellow ledgies for a few drinks and some conversation.

"...and tomorrow night, Dynell and Chi Chi Valenti will hold their 15th annual "Night of 1,000 Stevie Nicks" at Tribeca's Knitting Factory. Dress like Stevie - at any of her weights ..."

ok, so i got home at 5:45 and just had to get up (8:30) because the friend that i am staying with is showing her apartment this morning... blech.
sooo... the evening started early at the Nancy Whiskey where me and matt met brian/liquidblue. got to the Knit right after nine and had no problems getting in and getting settled. DJ was playing some great music, somewhat unexpected songs: Violet and Blue, Battle of the Dragon, greatness. my major unhappiness started with all of the heinous covers that played all night long...
the performers were just fabulous. i don't have a rundown of who did what, but the standouts according to me were Gypsy Wild who did I Can't Wait, Bella Donna who did Mirror Mirror, and i can't remember anything else right now.
debbie, oh debbie... so i understand that her performing was kind of a last minute thing, but come on - SING! YOU'RE A SINGER! she was looking gorgeous, very beautiful white dress (semi-see-through-hotness) and what i believe to be a very beautiful wig. i do have pics to be posted after i get fresh batteries... and more sleep.

I actually think I'm still a little drunk from last night....Anyway, NoTS was fantastic. I had a great time with Mariel and Brian...We were right at the front of the stage this year, so we were in the center of all of the action.
I don't know if it's just me, but I think the acts were even better this year than last year (and that's saying a lot...they were fantastic last year). Gypsy Wild was by far my highlight of the evening with "I Can't Wait." (Though I would have loved to hear her perform "Sisters" again).
NoTS flew by sooo quickly...such a bummer we have to wait until next year for another.
