I called the restaurant and they are open till 2am during the week and only take reservations during weekdays. The Stratosphere is open till 2am ($9.95 to go up) for the observation deck. (Plus cab fare there and back as it is on the far end of strip) Another idea is a picture in front of the big fountain outside of Paris Hotel (free). It is some copy of a famous one there. (Don't know the name offhand). We could grab a bite right after the show and then head for the picture OR take the photo, get it developed on the strip and THEN go eat. Looks like it will be a few folks, so I think reservations would be a good idea. (make it under LEDGIES so everyone can find us). Any ideas? Opinions? Comments? Looks like Tuesday or Wednesday would be good nights to do it.

Oh, the restaurant is in the Flamingo Hotel. Which is across the street from Ceasers. (Sort of)

I am leaning towards the fountain for the photo. Cheaper for everyone and easy to get to. (Lit up at night, still get Vegas Vibe ...etc. ) Stratosphere would be cool, but with this many folks, and the cost of cabs and to go up, might be easier for some to do the fountain.

What about Cesears as the backdrop? Is there anything around there?

Sure, there are lots of Places we could take the photo. Maybe by the big neon sign outside? especially if they have a Stevie promo going on at the same time. :D

Just wanted to let everyone know...the coworker that just came back from Vegas gave me a ton of information included schedules, maps, every restaurant in every hotel, guidebooks, coupons, etc. when she came into work today (and now i'm reading up).
Monorail hours (pending it's still in service when we get there) are from 7am until 2am as well and it's $3 for a single ride. There are stations at MGM Grand, Paris/Bally's, Flamingo/Caesar's Palace, Harrah's/Imperial Palace, the Convention Center, Las Vegas Hilton, and the Sahara. It looks like if it is in fact operating, it might be the most inexpensive and best mode of transportation for all of us staying in different places on the strip. You can purchase a single ticket for $3, an all day ticket for $10, or a 3 day pass at $25.
I'll post more as I continue to read on.

I would be up for taking a group photo someplace nearby and free. I am sure that some of us will be tired, hungry and cranky after the shows. We are not all going to feel like traveling around for a photo. Maybe near Ceasar's might be a good idea. Of course we can take a few at Margaritaville, too.
I will be going both Tuesday and Wednesday nights so I can do photos both nights. I am sure that my friend won't mind taking a group photo so that I can be in it. We can take a few pictures. I can run off to a CVS at some point and get prints made and I can even make an 8x10 print.
Now lets just hope that my camera does not get taking away at the show!

Thanks for the offer! I think they will be many, many spots to choose from. And I think you are right about people being tired...etc.

This is probably a better idea - taking a photo nearby. Stratosphere is cool, I recommend everyone go to the top if you have the time, but it may be too time consuming to try to fit in after the show.
The only issue I can see with taking the pic outside at night is that sometimes people can get "washed out" with the flash. Maybe we should just meet at Margaritaville & take pics there?
I think Tuesday after the show would be best.

We can do some photos outside and then some inside at Margaritaville. I will use my digital so if we don't like it 'Delete" LOL.
I do know that there are some people coming in on Wednesday that might want to be included so like I said I can do both nights. :)

Pattie, are you saying we should all meet up more than once this trip to eat & drink together & take some pics? Are you crazy? ;)
JK, I'm sure we'll all meet up before and/or after all shows we're attending. :xoxo:
Seeker - let's set up the Tues after-show meet in front of Paris for sure. Can you call Margaritaville & make the reservation? I think "Ledgies" is a great idea.

Sure i will make reservations as soon as I get a better idea of the number of people. I will call next week and make it for around 50 people. (STILL WAITING FOR A FEW TO CHECK IN! HINT HINT)What time should I make it? The show starts at 8:00pm - 2hours for show and stuff, ....I was thinking around 10:30? How does that sound to everyone? Or would 11:00 be better? They are open till 2am.

Okay 11 sounds good. I just called and the girl was taken aback, .....Someone from group sales is going to call me back (on Monday, I would imagine). I set it for 50, but we have time to adjust if we need to. I figured to give them time so we can be sure to get in. They do priority seating, and no reservations (I was told they had reservations before) So I will go around and hit the groupsales people. I doubt they would want to turn away 50 people. (OOH maybe we can get a private Ledgie room.....Anyone Know Stevie and invite her and the band to come over after the show? I will spring for a few drinks for her if she comes ...and maybe an appetizer ...LOL) Should I make it for both Tuesday and Wednesday? Or just Tuesday and do something different on Wednesday?

I remember someone on here posting that Celine's shows are an hour and a half long--seems to be the general Vegas format but hopefully it'll be a full two hours.

I believe that any casino show is limited to 1&1/2 hours (MGM's venue was a little different - more of an arena.) I may be wrong. She usually plays for about 1hour 45 min, so if they just cut out the Edge intro, we're all set. :D
I think 11 would be best. She may not start at 8 on the dot. And it's not exactly right next door, so we may need some time to get out of the venue & get over there. Plus, if we meet at Paris for a pic...
Seeker - I just saw a thing on the travel channel (Made In America?) saying that Margaritaville in Vegas has a replica of a Yankee Clipper plane in it & there's a separate area for large groups - maybe we could try to reserve this area? I don't know if they charge for it.

Especially if she's doing as much costume changing as she professed she'll be doing...that'll eat up some time. Two hours would be best. If not, we'll all feel ever so slightly fleeced by our nearly $200 spent per ticket

I wonder if you can hook up a vcr/dvd player to the hotel Tv? We should have a Stevie-athon somewhere with stuff people bring. (I am moving close to that week, so my little apartment is filled with boxes, wouldn't work for 40 people. Plus it's kinda cramped with packing junk). Just an idea.
