Cancelled - the BRIGHT side?

Okay, I've just had my moments of mourning. I don't think I'm done yet. I was soooooo looking forward to her coming to my hometown.

BUT - it appears that it's Don's little feud with the Eagles that's causing this cancellation. What's to say Stevie doesn't tour on her own in July? She has a band togetehr (or at least we know she was getting on together) and clearly, her schedule was free....

I'm just saying....

She's already hired the band. I think it's entirely possible she will tour in some capacity now.

This whole thing with her this year is so ass backwards... first, this new "best of" CD, with zero promotion for it.. then this tour with Don Henley with zero promotion for it... now the cancelled tourdates.... is all of this a sign that maybe she should have worked in the studio this year instead of doing all this? :shrug:

That's what I thought, too. I thought - "surely, it's all just an illusion, what with no Cali dates planned!" :lol: It just can't be real, without those Cali dates! Mwahahahahahhaha!

Well she needs a band for Vegas too so I am not sure if that will mean much as far as her touring solo. She is supposed to be in Vegas again the last week in October according to someone in Caesar's box office that I spoke with yesterday. I think it is entirely possible that she could do some benefits etc this fall. I don't know how difficult it is to throw a tour together...maybe it wouldn't be all that hard to schedule her solo dates this late in the spring?

I am wondering if I should buy tickets for the Philly show that go onsale on Saturday morning. I have this feeling that if the last half of the tour, July, has been scrapped, what really is the point of doing those few dates in June? I guess I can always get a refund if they cancel Philly.
