This keeps getting more and more interesting... just checked Ticketbastard and as it turns out, the presale for the Boston show goes on sale TOMORROW MORNING at 10am!
what kind of way is this to sell out a concert? :distress:

A lot of these places have season ticket holders. It's a possibility that even though they haven't gotten their tickets yet through the mail, they know their seats and are able to sell them in advance. It's also possible that certain venues have presales either through Visa (gold card members and things) or something else (clear channel?)

This is so true... Where I work, we have season hockey tickets at the arena...and we are notified about 4 days ahead by email before the tickets going on sale to the general public about buying our season ticket seats for the show ahead of time... And depending on the popularity of the act... sometimes you can buy up to 10 tickets for the event... but if it's popular, they only allow you to buy the seats you have for season tickets... That's why alot of these places are sold out quickly because the presale takes a good chunk of availability away from the general public. But there are usually limits as to where the seating can be on a presale... they don't give all the good seats to this select group.
